Here's my nightmare with 2checkout.com...

Customer placed a $49,000 order. Later that day it passed 2CO fraud review.
This was my indication that the order was good and the following day I initiated the process of filling the order. Three days later, after the order had been sent off to the customer, I called 2CO because I was concerned that the payment hadn't been processed. Larry assured me that although it hadn't made this week's payment cycle it would certainly be on the following week's. He further assured me that the payment was guaranteed as it had been approved by the bank.

An hour or so later I received notification via email that the order had been canceled by 2CO and refunded to the customer. As a consequence of this action I am now left scrambling trying to recover the goods which will not only cost me to have returned, providing I am able to do this, but I am also out of pocket the potential profit from the sale.

2CO website states: "... accounts whose sales level drastically rises, will be subjected to our account verification process. This process is typically done through voice verification with the end user of the service or product.
While this process is usually seamless, difficulty in verifying the legitimacy and status of your account can result in the delay of your initial payments."
Notice that it says this can delay payments, not cancel orders. Did 2CO, in fact, try to notify the end user to verify the order? If so, what was the result? No answer. If not, why not? Why was I not notified immediately rather than several days later, after I had shipped the order? 2checkout.com has been unable or unwilling to answer these questions.

I have been a customer of 2CO for a number of years. Now I'm an ex-customer. I would caution anyone considering using their services to do so at their own risk.

After 6 months of battling with a seller (sent me a damaged part, I sent it back at my expense, they wouldn't give me a refund and never sent a replacement as they said they would). I am now out the money (only about $100 but its the principle) and the seller has all but stopped replying to my emails. I decided to ask 2checkout for help. They were very unhelpful and said it was not their job as a payment processing agent and I should try dealing with the seller directly (hah after 6 months of getting screwed around by them).

bottom line, 2checkout has no accountability, stick with sellers that use Paypal.

They do not offer any help with problems you encounter with their seedy business partners.

I have had a healthy business relationship with 2checkout.com for 2 years. On 2nd January 2013, they contacted me stating that my account was closed and that I could only have my account balance after a period of 90 days. After the 90 days, I wrote to them reminding them that I was expecting the money upon which they responded by stating that the money was forfeited because I violated their Terms of Usage. Keeping the money for 90 days was enough punishment or me and as if that was not enough, they now want to punish me twice by stealing my money! I find this immoral under the guise of violation of TOS. A forced forfeiture is open robbery. I will be filling a lawsuit soon while at the same time I wish to warn potential and current users of 2CO to think twice before trusting them with your money. There are many reliable providers who will not steal your money under the guise of TOS violation. This might appear as a story to you now but reality will hit when you become the next victim.

I have several transactions with them.Recently, i checked my bank account and noticed that they deducted way higher than what i am supposed to pay for the services in www.destle.com.Right now, 2checkout stopped my payment and stating in the email "Hello, Thank you for contacting the Fraud Prevention Unit. We apologize for any delay in our response. Your orders have been canceled because we did not receive the documentation that we requested. Before we can accept your payments, we will need to verify your orders. In order for us to be able to accept any future sales, we will require further verification. We will need you to provide us with the authorization code for this transaction. The authorization code is the six character code that is assigned to each transaction. You can obtain this information by calling your bank or credit card company (the number listed on the back of your credit card). Please reply with the authorization code at your earliest convenience. I apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. Thank you for your time and cooperation with this matter."

Previously they process my payement and now they state this in emails.Their customer service is real bad in the extent that i had to spam them with emails knowing that they take their own sweet time to reply. When they reply, its not really relevant to what you request or enquire from them.I wanted their process payment statement and the email above is what they replied to me.This is a piece of [censor].When i requested services in destle.com, my credit card has already been deducted by those amount and the readers in the website said that i have not made payment. Its outrageous, i was accused and banned from that website. When i live chat with the customer service in destle.com, most tried to avoid my question and i was so lost. After about 3hours later, i was so pissed..and one of the kind soul called me, yes he called me from overseas telling me that he will retrieve back my money for me.He did and i really thanks him. While 2checkout sending emails asking me to provide them with details etc..see that its so hard to retrieve money from 2checkout.Anytime of the day, they will hold back your payments and thats very bad.I lost my credibility to the readers and its very fishy about destle.com and 2checkout.I'm a victim and i keep using destle.com services without knowing that 2checkout has not process my payment, can u imagine how much money has accumulated and they are holding. My transactions all in USD and there are about 22 transactions not clear?I was banned from the website and get accused of not paying up.Try 2checkout at your own risk.Moral of the story, what comes around goes around, may all of them go to hell.

My account is closed without any reason. Some one bought some items from my web site and their order went to review process and canceled. They closed my account with running a single transaction. I am thinking to take legal action against this company.

Now 2checkout.com has sent me an email wanting 9.15 refunds fees on my account that I closed over 2 months ago. I called and unfortunately had to curse the REP because he refused to work with me at all. Josh the customer service rep was a complete [censor]. I will not pay the 9.15 fees. You can kiss my a**. How about paying me my 49.00 back. Oh I forgot it is non-refundable. Well guess what thieves, my 9.15 is non refundable also.

I would not recommend 2checkout.com. They also scammed me out of 150.00 dollars. They will give a refund without contacting the seller to see if the item was shipped or not. This is exactly what happened in my case. They are a gang of thieves, stay away!

hi,
the 2co or 2 checkout are the worst nightmare for online businesses...
they did something similar with me... they canceled a client's payment after i delivered the service.. i followed with them and i'm now filing a complaint with the BBB... hoping i will be able to get even with them!
the damage they cost not only financially but also to our reputation by refunding the money to the client's credit card! and we are a long standing business... we maintained a 0% chargeback rate with our previous payment gateway for three years!
they did not listen, wouldn't care about logical arguments and couldn't be colder and careless!
i highly suggest no once works them... they are just evil... power corrupts and they got big fast!

2checkout always finds a way to screw its sellers out of money... this
is their entire business is screwing sellers either thru disgustingly
high fees and charges to send out checks... They also never allow a
seller to work out any issues with buyers, they simply refund the buyer
without good reason because they still make their processing fees
regardless if they refund or not !

Do not use 2checkout, they are much like a casino where today better
seems like a good idea, even tomorrow but in the long run they will
always get you and grab all your hard earned money !

There collections department is managed by a person who was disbarred from practicing law. They suck as a company. They process my payment, and even after the client called in to confirm a payment was not fraud they still refused to release the money, this is a common practice.

I refunded the client and had the client pay me via a real company, 2checkout charged me for the refund to my client even though it was there error that caused the payment not to be made. They suck.

They are questionable, but protected by equally questionable forces.

I have grown to dislike them, and would recommend that others seek out better payment processors.

They are in disfavor with me, and I am not amused with them.

2checkout is the worst piece of crap i have ever encountered. i had problems receiving a refund from a vendor once. i had contacted the vendor over and over and finally asked 2co to refund my money. it took them over a week to do so. despite this, i blamed the merchant not 2co. little did i know...

i decided to close my merchant account b/c at the end of the day, even though 2co was more expensive, with authorize.net AND my merchant fees, i'm pretty much shelling out the same amount. i too was lied to by SEVERAL 2co reps. they're snide, nasty and liars. i'm trying to figure out a way to file a complaint and if need be, will contact visa and mastercard because this company SUCKS! use paypal if you must but avoid 2CO.

I fully understand your problems with 2CO; the same thing happened to us. They issue a refund without contacting our firm to ascertain if the item was shipped or not. We actually found out by our client that they received a refund notification.

A person that is not up to any good, can order a product from a 2CO vendor and once the person knows that the item has been shipped, they can demand a refund from 2CO.

I highly recommend that merchants should not deal with 2CO, they will damage you company's image; if you cannot obtain a merchant account, ask your clients to send a wire transfer payment. This may be difficult at first, but if you are legal, this will be the best way for the long term.

Tia.
