From the very start, the manager named Nick was not upfront about the availability of the car I was driving from Fort Wayne to see. When I arrived, the car was not on the lot or ready for me. Instead, it was being serviced on a lift (and the service technicians had already left for the day, so they couldn't bring the car down for me to inspect). Initially, I was told that the car was indeed available and that I should come back on Monday. However, on Monday morning, I discovered that the car had actually been sold all along and was being serviced for its delivery to the new owners. In short, it's clear that they cannot be trusted to accurately communicate their inventory. I want to emphasize that my dissatisfaction lies primarily with the management, as the salesperson seemed to have been thrown into the situation just to make a sale. The management wasted both my time and the time of their salespeople. From start to finish, I felt like I was being jerked around and treated poorly. Their behavior was extremely unprofessional, and I strongly advise against doing business with them. If by chance they happen to have the car you're interested in, I urge you to do your due diligence, ask numerous questions, and insist that they provide thorough information before you make the effort to visit them. This way, you can avoid wasting your valuable time.

City Chevrolet My experience at City Auto Mall was completely unexpected

My experience at City Auto Mall was completely unexpected. As soon as I pulled up, Thaddeus, a friendly salesman, was right there to greet me outside the store. Initially, I had only planned to browse a few vehicles that I wanted to finance through my bank. Unfortunately, my bank wasn't being very helpful. Thaddeus did show me those cars, but they were still undergoing checks and one wasn't even available yet. I explained my situation to Thaddeus, and he mentioned that he might be able to help me find something newer and more reliable. Before showing me any vehicles, he took the time to sit me down and ask me about my preferences. At first, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, but I mentioned features like Apple CarPlay, fuel efficiency, and automatic start. Ultimately, I just wanted a dependable car. Throughout our conversation, I appreciated that Thaddeus didn't solely focus on the car-buying process. We had genuine conversations that went beyond making a sale, which was a refreshing change. It's always a good sign when you can connect with someone at a dealership on a personal level. Thaddeus had a strong sense of integrity and genuinely wanted to ensure that I ended up with a car I would love. He never pressured me into making a purchase. His only concern was finding a vehicle that would meet my needs, and he definitely delivered on that. When it came to getting approved for financing, Thaddeus expressed confidence in his ability to secure an approval for me. I was initially skeptical because I had already visited two other dealerships in Warsaw, Indiana - *** of Warsaw and *** of Warsaw - and neither were able to get me approved. The *** dealer initially got me approved, but something went wrong later on. This experience made me even more doubtful about getting approved. However, Thaddeus and his manager remained confident that they could secure an approval for me, despite my less-than-perfect credit score. Thaddeus showed me several cars that I liked, but I didn't want to get too excited until I knew if I would actually be approved. To cut a long story short, Thaddeus was able to secure an approval for a vehicle using the same bank that the *** had initially approved me with before things fell through. It's evident that City Auto Mall goes above and beyond to meet their customers' needs. Throughout the entire process of meeting Thaddeus and interacting with the staff at City Auto Mall, I never felt pressured to make a purchase. I did encounter an issue with my down payment, but they were able to help me resolve it through a reasonable agreement. Overall, I wouldn't even classify this dealership as your typical car-selling establishment. It felt more like I was meeting genuinely great people who were genuinely helping me buy a car. They weren't just focused on making a sale and rushing me out the door. They truly are an exceptional dealership, and I would continue to buy from them even if I weren't in the area. If I ever moved, I would gladly fly across the country to do business with them. Thank you so much, Thaddeus and City Auto Mall!

City Chevrolet We recently bought a 2014 *** 1500 Ram Truck from City Chevy

We recently bought a 2014 *** 1500 Ram Truck from City Chevy. The agreed-upon price was $17,800, which was supposed to cover all taxes, title, and filing fees. Before finalizing the deal, the salesman and finance manager asked us about the total tax percentage in our county, and we informed them that it was 7.5%. With everything settled, we made the long drive from central Ohio to Columbia, *** to pick up the truck. We were satisfied with our purchase.

However, a few months later, when we went to have the title released, we were shocked to learn that City Chevy had not paid all of our county taxes. As a result, we still owed approximately $400 in unpaid county taxes. We immediately contacted City Chevy to address the issue, and their response was disappointing. They claimed that they do not withhold for out-of-state county taxes and that we would not be receiving any reimbursement. This was contrary to what we had been led to believe during the purchase process, as we were under the impression that all taxes would be taken care of. When we raised our concerns with the sales manager, he dismissed our claim and stated that he didn't believe we were owed any money back.

Overall, we are extremely disappointed with the way City Chevy handled this situation. We feel deceived and misled, as we were given the impression that the price we agreed upon included all taxes. It is frustrating to now be burdened with additional expenses that we were not expecting. We expected better customer service and transparency from a reputable dealership like City Chevy.

City Chevrolet I brought my truck to the dealership because the engine light was on

I brought my truck to the dealership because the engine light was on. They were able to fix the issue, but I also asked them to check the battery and alternator because I've been having to replace the battery every two years. They assured me that the alternator was fine after running a diagnostic. However, shortly after leaving the dealership, my truck died. I had to have it towed back to the dealership at my own expense. They determined that the battery was dead and replaced it. I once again asked about the alternator, but they insisted it was okay.

Not convinced, I decided to go to *** to have the alternator tested, and it turned out to be faulty. The next morning, my truck died again while I was on the highway. I had to pay for another tow back to the dealership, where they finally confirmed that the alternator was indeed bad. I requested that they cover the cost of the tow and repair or replace the alternator. Unfortunately, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the tow payment.

Over the course of two weeks, I called the dealership six more times, hoping to get a response about the tow payment and alternator repair. However, none of my calls were returned. The person I spoke to each time claimed they didn't have the authority to make a decision and assured me that someone higher up would contact me. Unfortunately, I never received a call back. I even suggested that they just fix the alternator using the cheaper of the two quotes and forget about the tow payment, but still, no one returned my call.

I strongly believe that the dealership should cover the cost of the tow, and they should have at least called me back to address the situation. I would have been more than willing to pay for the repair part of the *** if they had just communicated with me.
