Chevrolet Supporting Newfest of New York City LGBTQ

I currently own a 2018 Chevy Equinox and have family members who have Chevy Trucks and Traverse's. I have been shopping around for a new vehicle and was going to get the Traverse, but then I see this article:

No more Chevy's for me and my family even though we have had a long history of owning them.

Desired outcome: Stop supporting LGBTQ programs and take a stand against ESG.

Chevrolet Key replacement

I have a 2015 equinox at the time i bought it i was given one key which i cant find i contacted a dealership little did i know it was going to take an act of congress to get a replacemnet i understand making it hard for person to get a replacement if they dont own the car but i do i am 79 if i had known i was going to encounter this trouble i wouldnt have bought the car i am on a fixed income there is no way i can afford the cost i am looking at seems to me there has to be an easier way

Chevrolet 2017 chevy tahoe

I have a 2017 Chevy Tahoe that a bought brand new for 66,000 and some change. I have to replace the transmission after only 80,000 miles. I have always purchased Chevy vehicles and this one has been a nightmare. I few months back I had to replace the radiator and condenser...1300.00. I would not have purchased a 66,000-dollar vehicle if I had known this. Please give me some guidance.

Chevrolet Stellantis Parts Supplier South Africa

Good Morning,

We have a Chev Captiva 2.2LT 2015 Model, we have ordered parts in January 2023 and paid in Full with CMH East Rand, accordingly to CMH east Rand Boksburg South Africa, the parts come form Stellantis South Africa, i have be back and forth with this company and up to date no joy. E-mail upon e-mail calls and more calls, till now no communication as to when this part will be expected. .

We are now currently 7 months without a vehicle that can't drive. I need some assistance regarding this problem.

Please can someone give me the details of the person or persons that i can speak to, in order to get this problem resolved.

I however can forward all communication and Pictures to ensure that this matter can be resolved ASAP.

Chevrolet 2019 Chevrolet Traverse

I bought a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse in November 29,2022 from Hendrick Chevrolet Monroe, paid cash. They said they needed time to check out the car and make sure all is okay. The car was finally ready on December 7, 2022. Our cars battery went dead on Monday, April 10, 2023. My husband went to the dealership to see if they would prorate a battery since we only had the car for four months. Their comment was battery was good when they checked it and that's what you get buying a used car. We go somewhere else and buy a new battery. When the new battery is placed in the car it then begins to automatically cut off at red lights and extended stops. The car NEVER did this prior to the new battery being installed. We didn't even know the car was equipped with the auto off. I looked on the website and it states the car will not use the auto off when the battery is getting weak. SInce, it was not doing this when we bought it clearly the battery was weak according to your own website. I again ask for the manager to contact me but he had the sales person contact me. I currently own 3 Chevrolets but will be trading all three as soon as possible. Poor customer service. I knew I should have gone with Toyota. Lesson learned.

Chevrolet Very bad customer care & respect

I took my Tahoe for 60,000 km service. The service advisor called me that the car is ready. I waited for almost 2 hours as the car was not ready.

Due to this delay a financial consequence got impacted at my work. I filed a complain but they said we treated that internally.

I need my right and fair compensation due to this delay which caused financial implication at my work.

Chevrolet Break fluid - service dept tech chases it needs to be changed soon! But it’s a recommendation …

I have a question related to break fluid life vs color vs viscosity. My local dealers service tech “recommends the break fluid is becoming dark and discolored recommend preforming break fluid flush soon! $201.69 non warranty cost. First of all the vehicle is a 2019 Silverado that was purchased 4/29/2022 with with 20542 miles. The recommendation came from a recent service done at 24806 miles on March 10th 2023. This is a certified vehicle with a 12K 12 month bumper to bumper warranty limited warranty! My paperwork says items not limited to batteries, break pads, linings, shoes, rotors, tires, or any service or normally considered “maintenance and ware are excluded from warranty coverage or required to be preformed or replaced as recommended by GM Maintence Schedule. Since GM recommends that break fluid flush is not suggested / required till 45k, I have an issue “why this is my problem”! To support this it’s only come up on this last service, the service prior on on October 17. 2022 with 23083 miles it wasn’t an issue (not stated on that report). So this suggests to me that the break fluid went bad in 6 months or more importantly 1700 miles! So the truck now needs a flush, tires and break pads on a certified vehicle. I guess I can’t complain about the pads or tires and a battery that’s been recommended to be replaced, it clearly says they aren’t covered but the fluid flush put me over the edge! VIN # 2GCVKPEC 6K1167594 purchased from Chevrolet of Milford CT. Respectfully, Paul J. Estok 3RD. Cell # [protected].

Desired outcome: Look into service techs recommendations on the October 17, 2022 (RO 517478) and March 10, 2023 RO 522466 reports. It’s my mistake buying this vehicle, should have passed on it! $40k isn’t a cheep purchase.

Chevrolet 2016 chevrolet camaro SS

i have owned nothing but Chevy's and all have been the best. up until now by the farthest the most expensive chevy i have ever bought to be now the worst chevy i have bought! 43,000.00 and nothing but electrical problems. if it rains to much, it shorts out the electrical and the doors won't unlock ! now the touch screen on the stereo won't work and the stereo changes channels on its own ! you need to fix these issues apparently it is wide known on the web that most are having these issues! not only is it annoying to try and drive while your stereo decides to start randomly changing channels or changing from AM to FM to XM to USB and all over the place! and you can't stop it unless you shut it off, but the total inconvenience of taking time off work and taking it in constantly to a dealership and having to deal with a rental car!

Desired outcome: i would like these issues resolved immediately. or replace the car. here is my VIN# 1G1FF1R73G0147253 i have worked so very hard for a long time to save up and pay for this dream car and it has been turned into a NIGHTMARE !!

Chevrolet ac / vaporator / poor communication/no concern

Hello.. my name is David Rodriguez [protected].. I just emailed Mary Barra the ceo and now im here to do the same.. I bought a 2014 Chevrolet truck 8yrs ago and now, next month, I'm about to pay it off here at the location in midland tx.. and what's strange to me is, I went in to get my filters change and suddenly my AC doesn't work anymore.. I have been having problems since I bought this truck from 5 recalls, a keyed up side of truck when I first got it.. radio and AC goes off and on when it wants to.. went to get a oil change, and they left my dipstick out and got oil all over my engine, and left also with a very low tire near the rim, it was why they wanted to get me free filters for the inconvenience and after that, my AC doesn't want to work and I feel it was some plot, scheme, scam or sham to literally have me dish out more money before I pay off my truck OR they want me to buy a new one.. the cost to fix my vaporator they say would be $2700, what the heck is this location running.. unprofessional and totally taken advantage of the customer who is finally paying off a Chevrolet AND WAS considering to make a new purchase but after this, I don't know if I can ever buy another Chevrolet after my first experience has been disappointed and frustrated,8yrs, I struggled and went to refinance the truck because of hardship, and now I have $600 left to make my final payment only for this midland Chevrolet in texas ruining my moment with a COINCIDENTAL issue all of a sudden, to my AC.. this is unacceptable and a possible BBB investigation report may be submitted if no resolve comes out from this serious matter... this is texas and it gets very hot, and to have a paid customer endure this heat only to deceive and swindle them into a new truck or break his financial livelihood, is reckless, heartless, and truly inconsiderate to the client.. I shared my experience with manager Brandon at chevrolet of midland tx, and he showed no concern or come to a resolve.. I am not going lay it down on this matter.. and if the E.E. O.C. must get involve, it shall too understand the severity of this situation.. I don't want to wnvolve any other entity to make people look down on chevrolet, I loved chevrolet, my first truck, lifetime oil changes, and over $40,000 on a $20,000 truck.. and now, im being asked to pay more for something that was running fine, before they touched it again.. this has been pain and anguish on my behalf.. how can I ever recover..? and going to FORD wasn't on my agenda.. thank you for taking my complaint, and I hope to hear from someone soon..

Chevrolet 2023 chevy suburban

My family purchased our brand new 2023 chevrolet suburban in october of 2022. We had to get our truck towed about a month ago, which was very dissappointing as our car only has about 3500 miles on it. My family was left stranded at a gas station until our ride got there. It was determined it was a faulty fuel pump which is still on order our car is not fixed yet. It has been at the chevy dealership in avenel, NJ for about a month. We were given a chevy traverse as a loner, but im paying over a $1,000.00 a month for a suburban im not driving. My wife and four kids really depend on this car, we are driving to florida March 31 and really need our car fixed ASAP. Please can you get this issue resolved for us. I want some type of credit for this monthly payment, and my truck fixed. Thank you.

Chevrolet TCC Shudder ("Chevy shake")

I am a loyal Chevy customer, owner of a Colorado, Equinox, & Cobalt.

In Feb 2023 My 2108 Colorado with just over 21,000 miles joined the apparent hundreds of thousands (millions?) of Silverado & Colorado owners dealing with the "Chevy shake" issue. The issue has been around for years and is acknowledged by the dealer service reps. It is clear that Chevy is aware of manufacturing defect(s) causing this issue. It's disappointing that Chevy chooses to ignore the issue and place the financial burden solely on their customers.

It appears that the solution to the problem is for the customer to pay to diagnose and fix a number of possible causes elevating in severity & cost. I'm at the 1st step - flush/replace the defective transmission fluid with a newer correct version at about $500 dealer charge. This is a bandaid fix with no guarantee that it will be the eventual solution. Time will tell.

Next up would be replacing the torque converter or possibly the aluminum drive shaft etc... more potential $$.

Desired outcome: This issue should be a recall. Chevy should at least share the cost and subsidize the customer for diagnostic/repair charges due to their defective products.

Chevrolet Warranty work

Hi I am asking for your help in getting some work done on my 2017 impela. I took it to mcgrath chevrolet in dubuque iowa. They said I need a new reciever for my xm radio. I am getting the runaround. I have an extended service plan for this car. It ahs been 2 weeks and they keep telling me there looking for the part. Chevrolet 2023 suburban premier

Purchased a 2023 Chev Suburaban Premier on 1/21/2023 from Ted Britt Chevrolet. It was a certified preowned vehilce with 2200 miles. On 1/24/2023 the check engine light, traction control and ESC lights came on. I was told by the manager at Tedd Britt Chevrolet named Angel to take the vehilce to the nearest Chevy dealership instead of driving it back to them because they are 60 miles away. I took the vehilce to Bayside Chevy in Prince Frederick MD. Bayside had just worked on my 2022 Z71 Suburban the week prior because the heat and defrosters had stopped working. Bayside kept my 2022 Z71 a week trying to diagnose the issue and took the entire dashboaord off only to tell me that it was just a blown fuse. That is why I went to Ted Britt the trade it in for the 2023 Premier. Now that the 2023 Premier vehicle is at Bayside they are saying that it is a fuel injector issue and they dont know when the parts are coming in. So I am without an SUV for who knows how long. I only had it for less than a week. My husband and I have purchases 2 Camaros, 2Corvettes and 5 Suburbans in 20 years for business and personnel use. We are being told by Bayside that our only option for a loaner car is to take a 10+ year old Chevy Malibu. I have kids to take on college visits and I own a business as well. I have always owned Suburbans and are in desperate need for on now. The dealerships that we are dealing with are not handling our issues. Ted Britt Chevy is passing things off on Bayside Chevy and Bayside Chevy and vice versa. We need this issue resolved ASAP.

Desired outcome: We would like an SUV loaner that is a Tahoe or Suburban and road worthy to take our kids on college visits and business or a new Suburban because we paid almost 80K for the Premier and now dont have an SUV and are making payments

Chevrolet Service unsatisfactory

My car was taken into Edwards Chevy Cadillac in Council Bluffs, IA for an oil change and tire rotation. The service was completed in less than 20 minutes, and I've waited much longer for just an oil change. It made me feel uneasy and unsure that the multi-point inspection was even completed, let alone the tire rotation. The paperwork took longer to complete than the service did. I made a complaint with the dealership, but they will not respond. I checked with two other Chevy dealerships regarding the service time for this, and they both stated that it should take at least 40-45 minutes, if done properly. Due to the fact that I spent over $100 for this service, and they will not respond to my complaint, something isn't right.

Chevrolet 2011 Chevrolet Cruz, reliable Chevrolet service department, Springfield, Mo

My 90 year old mother’s car has been at reliable Chevrolet in Springfield, Missouri since the early October. First they told us it was a thermostat problem. Then the next day they said we needed a new camshaft. Here we are end of January and they said we could pick up the car today with a new camshaft. As it turns out, there is no new camshaft and they tried to put two used ones in there that didn’t work, this is unacceptable. My name is Timothy Penn. Chevrolet 2019 chevrolet silverado trailboss

Getting to the point quickly: I bought my truck new and now that I have reached 30,000 miles (October of 2022) the brakes sound like a 1980's clunker, squealing like no one's business. I can't tell that I have any braking issues, but to say this is embarrassing is an understatement, so I took it to the dealership. The dealer looked at it (service date of 11/23/22) and said that the compound of the brake pad was changing causing the squeaking and that I can pick it up with nothing getting resolved. I told them I am no mechanic, but brake pad compound changing only after 30,000 miles just don't make sense and asked if they would look again. They said they looked again and it wasn't that the compound was changing, it's that the pad has different compounds and that I should expect the sound at 30,000 miles. I was told that an aftermarket pad should solve the issue. Did a Chevy representative really just say that an aftermarket pad is better engineered than a Chevy pad? I should not "expect" a nasty squealing noise from my vehicle with 30,000 miles on it as I have older vehicles that do not have that sound.

Desired outcome: Chevy should replace my brake pads with a pad that resolves the embarrassing squealing noise.

Chevrolet 2016 chevy equinox lt poorly built engine.

I had purchased and financed for a 2016 chevy equinox LT about 3ish years ago. As soon as I purchased the vehicle, the car broke down the first time and all they did was replace my battery without addressing or documenting the other issues that they instead just completely disregarded. A few months later I was having issues with my oil burning at an alarming rate. Found out that the way gm manufactured these specific engines, they used faulty / unreliable parts. Come to find out that the main seals put in these vehicles are very thin and degrade extremely fast causing excessive oil consumption. few months later, another engine light for cram shaft sensor and reduced engine speed and also high fuel pressure... so I had the solenoids replaced... and the issue was resolved so the company said. I religiously did my oil changes and basic maintenance etc. again, another few months later my solenoids went bad again... fixed it again! This time the same thing happened, but now my engine is completely shot, and my timing chain snapped. There was no warning that anything was even wrong. I just recently had my oil changed also. Thousands of reports have been made for this specific issue for the same year make and model of the car. The mechanic who looked at my vehicle and gave me the diagnosis stated he's had dozens of people bring the SAME EXACT vehicle I currently have, and they were all diagnosed with the same exact issues, and it was said that Chevrolet should be held responsible building a faulty engine...

I've called chevy headquarters, the place that sold me the vehicle, my finance company and my insurance... they all told me it's my responsibility to fix, to keep making my insurance and car payments and that there is absolutely nothing they can do... I am a single mom with 2 kids that doesn't have thousands of dollars just sitting around to pay for an issue that isn't even my fault. I haven't worked in 2 weeks and will probably be losing my job next. This isn't fair and I believe that the manufacturer should 1000000% be held liable for faulty vehicles they are continuing to sell without informing people of the common engine issues these specific vehicles are having. When I purchased my vehicle, the report NEVER stated ANYTHING about this common problem. I was promised and assured / reassured that I would have this car for a long time, the engine life is phenomenal, never had an accident. I was given a perfect report basically. Said the gas milage was incredible which was also another lie... these cars need pulled off of the market so innocent people don't have to deal with potential of losing everything they have including their home because they can no longer get to work. Please help! I won't stop until I know people including myself do not have their lives ruined because some company just wants to make a quick buck.

Desired outcome: I want my vehicle replaced with a RELIABLE UN-FAULTY vehicle that is safe for me and my 2 little girls... This issue needs to be resolved and financial responsibility should 100% be covered by the manufacturer.

Chevrolet 2017 Chevrolet Cruze LT

I brought my car into the dealership on Monday, 9.12.22. My check engine light had come on and I obtained the diagnostic code of P300. Once I received the code I scheduled an appointment. I was aware it was going to be an inspection to identify the issue.

I received word after 1 hour that "I needed a new engine" at the cost of $8000.00. I was told that there were other issues as well; emission, tire sensors and the culprit was a piston with a low PSI.

Just like that? A vehicle with 56,000 miles on it - not paid off - religiously serviced - barely driven has a bad piston - non-invasive inspection at the cost of $170.00

My warranty expired in January of 2022 (5 years or $60,000). I'm still covered for the emissions issues.

First of all I was offered no "plan" of attack other than the approximate price of a new engine. Secondly, I was asked if I had been "racing" my car? Not to mention the laughing after that - I felt like I was being judged as a stupid woman.

Further investigation led me to find out that there are issues with the 2017 Cruze regarding the pistons and an internal memo was distributed within, but not to the public.

I cannot afford $8000 nor can I be without a vehicle as I have just managed to obtain full time employment and it requires that I have a vehicle. I am 63 years old and single - it's just me!

I would appreciate some direction here. This is my 5th GM vehicle in my lifetime.
