I found a slightly cheaper ticket for my family on Cheapfly and booked Saudia Airlines flights. However, there was no information at all about baggage allowance on their website. Since I was checking prices across different sites, I assumed that at least one checked bag would be included for an international flight.
It was late at night and I couldn’t reach their customer service, so I went ahead and booked the tickets to avoid missing the price. The next day, when I called to confirm, they told me that the ticket included no baggage at all because it was a promotional fare. This was never mentioned during booking—there was no indication of it being promotional or any baggage details.
They then told me that if I wanted to cancel, I would have to pay £450 for three tickets. Alternatively, they offered to change my flight, but the options they gave were overpriced—tickets that were available in the market for £1550 were offered to me for £1785, and not even with ideal dates or layovers. I ended up paying the difference.
Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. I would recommend using platforms like Skyscanner and booking through more reliable third-party providers listed there.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.
Claimed loss: 1 day of work loss due to stress and paid additional £231.78
Desired outcome: I want them to compensate me and refund me the additional charges they charged me - since they didn't mention anywhere any info about luggage and promotional offer
