Chandelier Liquidators Crystal chandelier liquidators, great chandelier, spectrum home furnishings - beware!

This saga of stolen money, lies, and unreceived goods goes back a year. I saw what looked to be lovely chandeliers online and they were inexpensive. Too good to be true!

Chandlier Liquidators, Great Chandeliers and Spectrum Home Furnishings are all part of the same rip-off scam - same company, so BEWARE.

Being in Australia I needed to organise payment and delivery from overseas. When I first got in touch regarding payment via Paypal or credit card I was told this was impossible and that they had had trouble in the past with these methods. I was told that bank cheque or direct debit would be the only way. I even called and spoke to Philip a number of times to discuss my concerns about these methods, but I actually believed the customer reviews and didn't think to check online sites for customer complaints. (I didn't know about [redacted] then).

I don't consider myself gullible but truly, what an idiot I was to believe his word of 'honour'. I duly sent the cash and was told the lights were on their way, complete with tracking numbers. All seemed well. Imagine my amazement when I tracked them all the way to Australia online and saw them being turned around and shipped back to the USA.

Via phone and email I confired with chandelier liquidators (Phillip - the bast**d) that the address was indeed correct. I then spent many hours on the phone with Australia post employees and supervisors accusing them of being incompetent and unable to find our address. Grrr

Phillip from Chandelier liquidators then told me that they would be happy to resend the lights (3 of them) but would require another $500 in shipping costs, as they were not responsible for the mis-delivery. Fool that I was, I sent more money into the vast abyss - stolen money as I view it.

Second time around guess what - exactly the same problem. I abused Australia post - by this time I was in touch with the supervisor, and they managed to stop all but one of the parcels at the docks before they were sent back.

Surprise surprise - the address was almost entirely fictional. It was actually my name and half their US depot address. They were in the same boxes and had never been readdressed so I could see that they were wrong first time around.

They were scrupluous about ensuring the correct return address and I suspect that they were assuming all the goods would be returned and could have been resold with all of our payment being profit in their pocket. (They would have succeded in this terrible plan had Australia Post not been so helpful and vigilant)

Also, beware, as these items were not coming from chandelier liquidators, but were sent from Great Chandeliers and Spectrum Home Furnishings. THese dodgy companies are all part of the same consumer rip off ring!

I told Phillip that his company was at fault and that he had lied about the wrong addressing of the boxes. Also, I insisted on a $500 USD refund for the extra shipping costs and demanded the last package be sent with correct address. Well I got the last package but, after many emails, have never again seen that $500 USD despite an assurance that the money would be refunded.

After this problem he stopped answering my phone calls and responding to any of my emails. Never to be heard from again.

A very expensive lesson learned.

Also, on a practical level, the installation instructions were incomplete and worse than useless. Thankfully I had a great electrician and several days on hand to nut it out.

Never buy from Chandelierl iquidators, great chandeliers or spectrum home furnishings - they are truly the dodgy brothers, and like brothers, they are all related!

I am the originator of this post - the Australian that they claimed tried to extort or blackmail them. I am outraged - that they think they can impugn my good character. I have NEVER tried to extort or blackmail. The ONLY reason that the chandeliers stayed here on the second attempt was that Australia Post actually blocked them at the ports - otherwise I would have seen NO postal refund and NO chandeliers either.

I have email proof I am happy to provide - that I have kept, where they admitted fault in the shipping, and the copies of the mislabelled boxes showing the returning parcels to USA. I am $500USD out of pocket - quite a lot of money in my opinion - which was the cost of the second round of shipping. Despite their error I have not only never seen a refund of this amount but they will not even return emails or phone calls. I will happily provide anyone who likes with proof of their deceit. Also, what kind of legitimate company insists on everything in cash and won't take credit or Paypal (which would provide them with protection as well now I think about it, should someone try to extort money).

This company thinks it can not only take money unlawfully but then impugn the character of the victim of their scam. Enough is enough!

Lucky you - that doesn't negate my experience of their dishonest conduct. Once a thief - never to be trusted. I forgot to mention that I kept copies of emails promising refunds that never materialised, swearing that labels were correctly address etc... I also kept copies of the incorrect labels from the boxes. If anyone wants to see the proof feel free to email.

HI THIS IS PHILIP FROM CHANDELIERLIQUIDATORS AND THIS CUSTOMER FROM AUSTRALIA HER NAME BELINDA IS LYING. THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW WAS AN ATTEMPT TO EXTORT MONEY FROM US. SHE BOUGHT 3 CHANDELIERS AND WITH SHIPPING CAME TO ABOUT $2000.00. WE SENT THE CHANDELIERS, BUT THE ADDRESS SHE GAVE US WAS NOT A VALID ADDRESS OR NO ONE WAS HOME I GUESS.

WE PROVIDED TRACKING, SO SHE COULD OF BEEN AROUND FOR DELIVERY, BUT SHE NEVER FOLLOWED UP ON DELIVERY WITH THE POST OFFICE. SHE HAD TRACKING AND SAID SHE WAS IN CONTACT WITH AUSTRALIA POST ALL A LONG AND ABUSED AUSTRALIA POST, BUT WE CAN NOT BELIEVE A WORD SHE SAYS. THE ITEMS WERE RETURNED BACK TO US AND SHE HAD TRACKING SHOWING THAT THEY WERE SHIPPED TO HER AND THEN RETURNED BACK TO US, BECAUSE OF AN ADDRESS PROBLEM OR CUSTOMER NOT AT HOME TO RECEIVE. COULD NOT GET FULL STORY FROM THE POST OFFICE OF WHAT HAPPEN. WE WERE GOING TO REFUND BELINDAS' MONEY, BUT SHE WANTED US TO RE-SHIP THE CHANDELIERS, SO WE DID AND SHE PAID US $500.00 TO RE-SHIP THEM. WE ARE NOT GOING TO RE-SHIP THE CHANDELIERS FOR FREE. WE DO NOT MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING. IF SHE COULD OF PROVIDED TO US SOMETHING SHOWING THAT WE MADE A MISTAKE WE WOULD OF SHIPPED BACK TO HER AT NO CHARGE THE CHANDELIERS, BUT SHE COULD PROVIDE US WITH NO REASON WHY THE CHANDELIERS WERE RETURNED.

THIS SECOND ATTEMPT SHE GOT THEM, BUT MADE UP SOME EXCUSE ABOUT HAVING TO GO TO THE AIR PORT TO PICK THEM UP. SOUNDS CRAZY RIGHT. WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT HOW CAN YOU GO TO THE AIR PORT TO PICK UP YOUR PACKAGES FROM THE POST OFFICE. I THINK SHE COULD OF CAME UP WITH A BETTER EXCUSE THAN THAT. SHE GOT THE CHANDELIERS ONE WAY OR ANOTHER IF YOU CAN BELIEVE WHAT SHE SAID ABOUT WHAT SHE HAD TO DO TO GET THEM. SHE CONTACTED ME AFTER RECEIVING THE CHANDELIERS DEMANDING HER SHIPPING OF $500.00 BACK OR SHE WAS GOING TO RUIN OR REPUTATION BY POSTING ON INTERNET REP-OFF REPORT SITES. I THINK SHE WANTED $600.00 AND NOT EVEN THE $500.00. I TOLD HER WE WILL NOT BE BLACK MAILED, SO I REFUSED TO PAY HER $500.00-$600.00 EXTORTION MONEY.

SHE HAS MADE A LARGE ATTEMPT TO WRITE NOTHING, BUT LIES ABOUT OR COMPANY POSTING THE SAME COPIED AND PASTED LIES ON THIS AND OTHER REP-OFF REPORT LIKE COMPANIES. WRITING THAT WE ARE PART OF TWO OR THREE OTHER COMPANIES, WHICH WE ARE NOT. WE HAVE BOUGHT FROM A DOZEN OTHER COMPANIES OVER THE YEARS, BUT NO WHERE DO WE CLAIM TO BE PARTNERS WITH ANY OF THESE OTHER COMPANIES. IF SHE WAS IN THE USA WE WOULD TAKE HER TO COURT MAKE HER LIABLE FOR DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER, BUT TO EXPENSIVE TO GO AFTER HER IN AUSTRALIA.

SHE WROTE SHE STOPPED ALL, BUT ONE OF THE PACKAGES AT THE DOCKS. THEN WHERE IS THE PACKAGE THAT YOU DID NOT STOP. WHY ARE YOU NOT ASKING OR SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT NOT RECEIVING ONE OF THE CHANDELIERS? SHE GOES ON TO SAY THAT SHE HAS A GREAT ELECTRICIAN AND THAT THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS WERE USELESS. HOW ABOUT THE PACKAGE YOU SAID YOU DID NOT STOP AT THE DOCKS NO MENTION OF MISSING CHANDELIERS OR PARTS.

I WISH I WOULD OF JUST PAID HER THE $500.00-$600.00 EXTORTION MONEY SHE DEMANDED. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF SHE HAS DONE THIS BEFORE TO OTHER COMPANIES TRYING TO GET HER SHIPPING OR WHAT SHE PAID IN DUTIES BACK BY THREATENING TO RUIN THERE REPUTATIONS ON THE INTERNET. SHE WRITES ABOUT WISHING TO KNOW ABOUT [redacted] BEFORE BUYING LIKE AS IF WE HAVE OTHER COMPLAINTS, WHICH WE HAVE HAD NON BEFORE HER POSTING OF LIES. I WONDER WHY IF WE ARE SUCH A BAD RIP OFF COMPANY THERE IS NO OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT CHANDELIERLIQUIDATORS.

FIRST COMPLAINT FROM AUSTRALIA WAS AN ATTEMPT TO EXTORT OR BLACK MAIL THEIR SHIPPING FEES OUT OF CHANDELIERLIQUIDATORS. THE LAST 2 COMPLAINTS AREN'T EVEN CHANDELIERLIQUIDATOR COMPLAINTS, BUT ANOTHER COMPANY AND THEY'VE CHANDELIERLIQUIDATORS WEBSITE CONFUSED WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY. SORRY TO SEE PEOPLE SO UPSET, BUT THEY SHOULD KNOW WHO THEY BOUGHT THEIR ITEMS FROM BEFORE JUST LEAVING NEGATIVE COMMENTS. CHANDELIERLIQUIDATORS AND SPECTRUM OR GREATCHANDELIERS ARE NOT THE SAME COMPANIES. CHANDELIERLIQUIDATORS BUYS THEIR CHANDELIERS FROM LOTS OF VENDORS.

On November 18, 2010 I also ordered a wrought iron chandelier (black) from Gallery online, which is the same as Spectrum Home Furnishings, etc. After two weeks, I still had not received it, called the number on the website and was told by a female it was on backorder and she would check with the shipping dept. and get back to me. The next day I called again and inquired as to the status of the order and was told they have it and will send it right away. Received a chandelier three days later - a bright gold chandelier. Called them and they informed me that was what I ordered (gold, black, yes I am confused). Anyway, finally spoke with David and informed him of the problem, he stated take photos and email it to him (thankfully I was able to do this). You get where this is going, numerous phone calls, offers from them of accepting the higher priced chandelier I received for the price of the one I ordered, offers of 1/2 credit. All refused - told them send UPS to pick it up, they stated UPS will send shipping label in 24-48 hrs. via email. 48 hrs. later no email from UPS. Called and spoke with Jennifer who stated you were supposed to send photos - told her we were past that - David and I spoke and chandelier would be returned. She apologized and send she would send package label now - which she did, and they would credit my card because they do not have the chandelier I ordered. I then noted on the UPS packing slip (tracking number) that I would have to drop it off (unacceptable). Called and spoke with Jennifer who stated that I was to drop it off at UPS, informed her that was not possible, she stated "Why?" I explained that I order online so that it will be delivered to my house. An unidentified male gets on line and states gruffly, "We said we'd take the return, we sent you a prepaid shipping label, and you can't even drop it off!" I stated, "No." Jennifer was quickly back on line and stated she will have UPS schedule to pick up. Needless, to say UPS was never notifed to pick up chandelier. Also called my credit card company to make sure they're aware of dispute. I have never written on any complaint website, but after reading a settlement between this company and consumers in May 2010 with the New Jersey Division of Labor I am so irritated that they are still doing the same thing and I got suckered into their scam.

I ordered a black crystal chandelier two months ago. When I opened the package one glass part was broken. The description of the chandelier posted on their website was in accurate. They stated "genuine black crystal chandelier." Instead the crystal parts were painted. I noticed scratches that lead me to notice that the crystal parts were spray painted. When I called to complain I spoke with a very hostile employee who said that I misread the description of the chandelier. I was also told that they do not allow for returns. I said that I would complain to the Better Business Bureau. The manager then stated that he would make this exeption and let me return it. So I packed it back up and sent it via Fed Ex. The tracking number indicates that the company received the returned product on June 30, 2010. I have still not seen a dime returned to me from that company. I plan to continue fighting this because it is unethical and it is fraud. I pan to contact the Better Business Bureau and I will look into other ways to find jusice. I had been saving for a very long time to get this black crystal chandelier. It cost me 257.00 dollars. We are in the month of August 2010 and I have not received any reinbursment. Very upsetting. I recommend to others to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau if they want this company to be reprimanded. It is probably the only way to get these people to stop stealing from peoples pockets. If you are interested in contacting me, please e-mail me at jorsi@lbschools.net.

After reading belindas post sounds like she received her items, but wants her shipping refunded or she is going to try to trash the company. Sounds like blackmail. I don't receive money from your company, so I'll try to hurt your reputation. Where's all the other complaints if it's such a bad company?
