Central Park Place Apts

If you are looking for an apartment please please don't go too Central Park Apartments in College Park. It's name should be Central Swamp Apartments!... Real talk! There is water coming up through the floor. Smelly water that they cannot find where it's coming from. Most of the units have mold from the years outstanding water saturating the carpet. There are rats big enough to uncover you lids from your food covered up and eat until they can't eat no more. I have spent $100 of dollars on bug spray, roach spray, any spray, bedbugs spray, plugins everywhere so I won't have to smell this suage smell coming from the floor saturating the under pads as well as the carpet. I have to put up fly traps to catch the tinny flying Nat's that fly over the apartment every day. I have complained to the code enforcement, but they are all friends so they come out just to say they have addressed the issue, and then you never see them again, and your problems will remain the same.

Michigan has been hit with a huge economic hardship and it has cost me and my boyfriend the inability to stay at Central Park Apartments in Grand Rapids, MI. Instead of not paying rent and being evicted, I have paid my rent accordingly and tried to offer one month fee for breaking my lease instead of the unreasonable two month fee. I am beyond words for how inappropriate I feel corporate raping of a tenant who is trying to do the right thing is and it should be looked at by the government to regulate the fees they can charge individuals who are willing to work toward an agreement when needing to break a lease earlier than expected.. Does it actually cost Central Park Place/Associated Estates $1480 to have me move out early? These people are no better, and perhaps, worse than the credit card companies. There has not been one iota of movement, discussion, or ounce of understanding from this company and the words "non-negotiable" are stamped on every request I make to them. I feel that offering $740 to break my lease is a fair amount given the circumstances the people of Michigan are facing. I hope this complaint shows the company that people do have a say in how they are treated. For someone like me, who is honest and hardworking and trying to the best they can it is a tough pill to swallow to be treated like gold as long as I moving in and treated like trash when things don't work as planned.
