My name is MATADDA. I have been doing business with this company for a while. I have lost items due to the neglect fault of the associate who works for Cash America. The only excuse I have received is "we apologize for that. We can't do anything about it now." Now, when I go to conduct business, I am put in a category that says, "my ratio isn't good enough to be trusted even tho the fault is due to the company employee who has given me incorrect information about my extension due date. Hello, my name is Trineca Hull, I'm a single mother so I sometimes fall behind and have to pawn things for extra cash. I've been coming here for years! I have a gun, Michael kors watch, and Xbox in pawn... On 3/2 I came in to extend my Xbox and 57 games until 3/17.. I come in today and I find out the extension I paid on 3/2 actually went to someone else account.. my Xbox and 57 games were put back on sales floor on 3/6..this is Soo unprofessional and disheartening bcuz I use that as a buffer for extra cash between pay checks! This issue is regarding my nephew. He went in and put an item on layer way. He stated he showed his license and made a payment toward the layer way. To make a long story short. When he went today 01/17/2023 to pick up his item he found out it was in a different name. My nephew did not notice this when made 2 payments earlier. We had left the pawn shop when he told me what happen, he also had a receipt with someone else name on it. We went back to the pawn shop I went in with him to address the issue. I ask to speak to manager. Her name was Allison I ask how did this happen, I did not get an answer that made sense. How is it you give the sales person your license and your layer away account ended up in some else name. My nephew stated he would show his license each time he went in. I am not sure what was going on here but something was not right. The manager gave him a receipt showing his name paid in full (cash).

I call to make sure my loans were safe the employee told me they would be fine until the next morning which is right now. I come in to pay my extension and my loans have been forfeited. So now instead of $30 I have to come up with $400. And then they won't even hold it for me for the day. I need somebody to help me with this ASAP it is not fair it is not fair at all it is bad business. Employees lying to me in order to get what I have pawned
I went to pay but employee said they were closing for new years to come back on Monday. Monday my rifle was gone! I went to pay on 4 wheeler, was told that I could make payment the following day and then it was gone! I just picked up my guns from pawn. I had 4 clips and now I only have 2! This is not right and your employees are stealing. This makes 3 times they have stolen my property!

Employed violating laws and rules of business
I go in there after 7 years of business I wait in the pickup line and the employee gets in my face taking a tone getting loud saying I'm skipping people in the loan line.
The loan line and pick up line are two different lines so I swallow my ego and smiled at him and said no problem I'll wait behind the lady over there in the opposite line.
A customer starts talking to me about how rude the employee was the employee jumped in my face and said I cannot speak I cannot open up my mouth and talk to another customer or he's going to call the cops on me.
The place is very dirty if you read the reviews online they have nothing but bad complaints week and day and year after year this is a cesspool and they are going downhill the manager is named Nelson he does not manage the people in there and he lets them speak to us the customer and treat us like crap.
Please help an investigate this is going as high up past BBB my friends are lawyers and doctors and will do everything we have to do in our power to get Justice to get to the bottom of things and make sure these employees are fired and this business is run up to code because they are ripping us off.
They're very disrespectful and very rude and telling me that we cannot speak in public and that we need to shut our mouth or they're going to call the cops please help and investigate the shady business

OK I was on my way today 18 October to go extend my rifle that I have pawn and I’ve been a customer with Cash American for years And I mean more than 10 years. so my belt broke in the middle of I four which I was at work so I had to come back this way by the Orlando international airport and my belt popped so now I’m stuck out here with no belt no vehicle and I called them to see if they can let me show up in the morning to extend it because I know they close about six or 5 o’clock and it’s already gonna be 4 o’clock and I called up there and asked to speak to a manager for one they did not want to put a manager on the phone. I explained my situation to him and told him I could be there right before they open to extend my rifle and up front said no. I’m also having an issue because I have again been with you guys for years had a while back beginning this year Pawn to handguns and I specifically know that the cat Cash American always gives you a courtesy call before your final month comes to default well let me tell you not one time has anybody of those new employees there did a courtesy car so when do you guys stop doing Curtis calls because that is not right I just think I just lost two handguns under $100 and now they’re trying to keep my rifle for 100 and some dollars which I paid eight for it. i’ve been in Retail and Customer Service all my life all I know is that is bad customer service and if you don’t have customers guess what your company don’t have no business so maybe you guys should think about changing it thank you. The last Friday of September we went to go make a payment on the layaway and we tow the customer service as a female that we wanted to pay for a month and she's okay so we pay and we left and then Friday I receive a phone call saying that I had to go make the payment before October 9th so I went on the 8th to make a payment and she told me I had to pay everything out front and I told her to know why should we because we had told her that I wanted to make a payment for a month and she only did it for 2 weeks so we talked to the manager and we just try to explain what happened and all we ask that we we could pay for that week until Friday and we'll take it out Friday and that was the original date that we have requested but she said no so I sure appreciate if you could help us out thank you

Your store on Mahoney is the worst store ever they take it upon they sell they forfeit your stuff without any notice and basically does what they want to do with your items no matter if you make it a payment or not when they're ready discarded or take it for day self they don't give a damn who owns it no calls no letters no nothing they just like to give away or put people's stuff back on the block because they're slow they took every item on my own and got rid of it talking about how it was past due when I know that I pay on my items every month and instead of them trying to help me figure out why they got rid of my stuff they just hit me with all it was 50 days past due and I know better and I have receipts to show that I pay my items every month like I'm supposed to I had over 10 items that I paid on every month and whenever they were due and today woke up and I have no items they forfeit them like they didn't belong to me and like I wasn't paying on them and then they got nasty attitudes they don't want to do the work and that computer system is so horrible because you can pay only one day and walk back in there the next day and they say oh you still owe this amount not talking about how they really don't your stuff can be worth $1,000 and all they want to give you is $100 on it and that's the worst pawn shop ever in life and I thought they were good people and a good place while I was I wrong and if you ask me they're not happy with their job because they act like [censored] when Aiden gave away your stuff you can't ask them questions you can't do nothing because they don't feel like giving you an answer because they can't because they know they're wrong so your store on Mahoney sucks and someone needs to burn it down or you need to find better people

Every Time I go inside of cash America pawn on Ridgewood and 2nd st to pawn or loan anything the sale representative has a guy that whispers kicks his leg off towards the way the Cashier is assisting another there's a guy that works for Cash America that has long hair he always tells the representatives not to do what the customer is asking or different he always has an implied to say quietly or sneaky I don't feel it's right or appropriate for a customer. This sales representative has a personal issue amongst itself affects customers with valued material he's not right he's insubordinate immature and inappropriate for the personal suggestions he has amongst a walking customer with valuables I don't feel he should be a representative or sales person amongst his actions behind the counter.

On 4/30/2022 I came in cash America pawn #2162 to finally get my stud earrings out. I kept them in the same packaging they gave me I never took them out because I knew Mother’s Day was coming up and I was gonna need extra cash. I go in there today May 7th to re pawn them and when the new lady did the tester she told me my diamonds were fake! My girlfriend bought me these 500$ earrings from Zales and they stole my earrings and gave me back fake ones! The Spanish manager lady tried to make it seem like I changed my own diamonds like I’m some damn jeweler or something with her unprofessional [censored]! I asked them to run the camera back from that day but they wouldn’t so I called DPD and they told me to just take cash America to court and made a police report! The black guy that was the cashier for that day brought out my earrings then took them back to the back office for about 15 minutes and I said to him why did you take my earrings to the back and he claimed that he was tryna get me a new deal with the Spanish lady because I wanted to know how much more I could pawn them for but what I’m not understanding is that it took 15 minutes to do that and he didn’t need to walk away with my earrings for that long she could’ve got her lazy [censored] up and came to the register for all that! That’s when I feel my earrings were switched! You guys just hire a bunch of crooks and I will not rest until It’s settled in court! Like what type of fool would I be to bring some fake [censored] earrings in knowing that they test everything! My name is charl’ee spratt my husbands name is christopher spratt. He went into the cash america pawn located at 2512 louisville avenue monroe louisiana 71201, on 11/26/2021 and got a loan on 3 rings. They are on three separate tickets. The maturity date was 2/26.2022. He went in and paid one month and the next payment was not due until 3/26/2022 while he was in the store he ask to pay my pawn also. They said everything was fine. He was at work on 3/26/2022 so he called and ask if I could come in and pay it on the 1st. They said sure no problem. I went in on the 1st. They said there was nothing due but 800 which was a different loan. I also ask about my pawn. I was told nothing was due on mine. So I paid the 800 and went home. I told my husband and he said he would take care of it when he got home, since they said everything was fine. The pawn tickets for the three rings that I was told nothing was due on, that I ask to pay the 400 on is: 332580,332581, 332582. Due to this error.. This pawn was forfeited is what I was told. After I threw a fit. They said oh well we still have the rings if you want to put them on layaway. So I did. And I was charged all the interest that was on the pawn, even though I had lost them and then charged tax on the interest and layaway. That layaway number is under my name charl’ee spratt ticket # [protected]. When it was forfeited it was in my husbands name christopher spratt. And the pawn in my name that me and my husband kept asking if anything was due, and assured no, everything is fine with yours. That ticket number is 333036, when they finally told me that my pawn was gone because I forfeited it, even though it was asked about numerous times. My earrings and matching necklace that I paid 5200 was sold. The other rings I was told my other two rings were in display case. I bought one. It was priced 600 but since im the one that lost it, they charged me the interest for it also. That transaction number is [protected] and customer number is [protected]. And my husband got the other one for me. These have the price sticker still on them. The ring he got still has the display sticker of 300 but he was charged our interest too. The original ticket number was 333036 and when he bought it, that transaction number is [protected] and customer number is [protected]. He was charged 80 interest on a ring from the display. I had another pawn. And it was forfeited also. At this time, me and my husband have an active pawn there. My brother died of covid and I need money to bury him. So we got a loan of $4000 and due to all this, I ask them what I need to do to save the rest of my stuff, could I put it into layaway. They said yes, as soon as it is forfeited on the 11th, they can convert it to layaway and they will add 4 months interest and tax and the total layaway will be 7955 plus tax. And im supposed to go in and ask for justin because the manager doesn’t work on wednesdays.. How can they charge interest on things supposedly forfeited. And not just that. Tax on the interest. And I also have a pawn ticket that says that my necklace and earrings were still an active pawn when I was in there on april 1st asking to pay my pawn and it just seems like someone in the store wanted them and this is just wrong on so many levels. Those were heirlooms and it hurts because we tried so hard and we are still trying and I need help please. I’m enclosing pictures of my pawn they said was gone. But on the 11th it was active. But on the 12th I was buying some of it back out of the display case. They can’t tell me that my necklace and earrings were gone, when it was active when I was in there asking and buying some of it back. Something is really wrong here.

My name is Christopher Spratt and I went into the Louisville Ave Monroe Louisiana store on 11/26/2021 and got a loan of $2000 on 3 rings. My wife went in on 12/14/ 2021 and got a loan also her name is Charl'ee Spratt. I went in before our maturity dates and ask to pay mine and my wife's loans . They gave me the total for mine. Said nothing else was due. That I could come in on April 1st and pay $400 and everything was good. I ask twice and told them I can't lose anything because it's my wife's jewelry. I was assured everything was fine. I was at work so my wife went in on April 1st said she wanted to pay the $400 and pay on her loan. They said they only saw a $4000 loan I had gotten in January. Said nothing was due for $400 but $800 was due on that loan. And nothing due on hers. They didn't tell her that the $400 loan was in grace period days so they said it didn't show up and didn't tell her that her pawn was gone due to nonpayment. Even though . I went in and paid what I was told to pay. I was told everything was A ok. When I went in a couple weeks later to pay on stuff was when we found out it was gone. It was like living a nightmare. I got them to pull everything they could out of the display that was lost so I could put it on layaway. They added all pawn interest to the layaway. And taxes. And my wife's necklace and earrings were already sold. How can they add the interest back to something they said I lost and made me put on layaway out of the display. Today I bought one of my wife's rings back. It was marked $300. They added the interest and tax to it and I paid over $400 today. When my wife went in on April 1st to pay on 3 rings. They said. Nope nothing due. I called trying to find out what was going on. They said I lost them but I can put them on layaway. Ok my wife did . The layaway was for the loan and all the interest and sales tax. So $2000 turned into$ 3600. It's on layaway there now. I ask today if I could convert the $4000 pawn to layaway because the interest is getting too high. They said sure. As soon as I lose it on 5/11. I can come in and put it on layaway for $4000 plus 4 months interest totalling$ 3200 and sales tax. So $8000 How when it's layaway on things I've lost. Who is pocketing all this interest on layaway from lost items. I need help. A couple weeks ago my wife found another one of her rings in the display and again they pulled up her old pawn and made her pay interest and tax for her ring. Out of the display. Mine I paid a payment and they can find it they said I only paid up til May ? why would I do that ? And I was suppose get a call and a letter never got neither and they said they took it bc it was due im like how u say u took it 7/18 but my one says it was lost 4/10? So somethings really off I think a lawyer def needs get involved in this I know I went in and paid plus I was promised I'd get a call or text and never did.
