Carrabba's Italian Grill review: Wait time

On [protected], my family and I went to the Carrabbas on 4503 Riverview Pkwy, Birmingham, AL. We arrived at 4:30 pm, put our name in and told the wait was 1 1/2 hour. We checked back in at 6:10 pm and was told probably another 30 minutes, possibly more. At 7:10 pm, we went back to check and the line was backed out the door. We left and went to another restaurant as my husband is a diabetic and needed to eat. At 8:30 pm we got a text and then phone call from Carrabba's saying our table was ready. That's 4 hours later. Their excuse was that so many people had called in to put their name in the list and kept pushing us down the list. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! No one should have to wait 4 hours for a table at any restaurant. I was very disappointed with this customer service.
