Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the unreasonable delay in the settlement of three Fixed Deposits (FDs) held in the name of Late Shri Rajendra Kumar Mehta.

I, Mr. Pankaj Mehta, am the registered nominee of all three FDs. More than one month has passed since I submitted the original FD receipts and all the required documents to Canara Bank, Ratlam Station Road Branch. However, the FD proceeds have still not been credited to my account.

Initially, I requested the branch to transfer the amount to my HDFC Bank account. After keeping my request pending for about 15 days, the branch informed me that the transfer could not be made to HDFC Bank and advised me to open a Canara Bank account instead.

As instructed, I immediately opened a new Canara Bank savings account and submitted all the necessary details. It has now been more than 15 days since the account was opened, yet the FD amount has still not been credited. Despite several visits to the branch, I have not received any satisfactory explanation or resolution.

The prolonged delay has caused me financial hardship, mental stress, and unnecessary inconvenience. All required documents have already been submitted, and there is no valid reason for keeping this genuine claim pending.

The conduct of the branch officials and the unexplained delay have created an impression that the matter is being intentionally prolonged. Although I do not wish to make any direct allegation without evidence, I sincerely request the Head Office to investigate the matter fairly. My claim is genuine, and I am not willing to offer any illegal gratification or improper payment for processing a lawful claim.

I therefore request you to kindly intervene immediately and ensure that the proceeds of all three Fixed Deposits of Late Shri Rajendra Kumar Mehta are credited without any further delay to the Canara Bank account of the nominee, Mr. Pankaj Mehta. I also request that appropriate action be taken against any official found responsible for the unnecessary delay.

I trust that Canara Bank will resolve this matter promptly and uphold the highest standards of customer service.
