If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Cable Dahmer Chevrolet’s Service Department was frustrating, disorganized, and unprofessional from start to finish.
I brought my vehicle in for service and was quoted for a master cylinder replacement at $807.02. Later, I was told that this was a computer glitch — the repair wasn’t actually included in the quote. Instead, I would need to pay an additional $923 for the master cylinder replacement. This error stalled the repair process, and in the end, I picked up my vehicle without the master cylinder ever being replaced.
Communication was poor throughout. I had to follow up repeatedly just to get basic updates. When I finally spoke with the Service Manager, Brian Franz, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism. Rather than focusing on my vehicle, he shared inappropriate personal details about a former employee — completely irrelevant and uncalled for.
I relied on Lyft for transportation to and from work while my car was in the shop, totaling over $250. I was never informed that loaner vehicles were available — I only found out after asking about reimbursement. The Lyft charges were eventually deducted, but only after I insisted.
I also included the General Manager, Joshua Hedrick, in my communication and never received a response.
The entire service department could benefit from customer service training. I would strongly recommend avoiding Cable Dahmer Chevrolet on Stateline if you can absolutely help it.
