I was in the LCBO Oakville on Oak Walk Drive. My boyfriend and I are in are 30s and my boyfriend had ID, however I did not. I understand LCBO policy and we were not allowed to purchase the alcohol i touched, but the cashier would allow a partial payment for the bottle my bf was holding. This seem slike a very inconsistent policy as i had actually touched all of the alcohol. The cashier was very aggressive in asking if i had ID. He asked me about three times each time i said no. I have dealt with him before i find him rude and unfriendly every time we go there. It is unfortunate because other staff members are very friendly and helpful. Not once did he say 'sorry this is LCBO policy' he just kept asking me for ID and mentioned multiple times "I in fact saw you holding the alcohol". Which i never denied. I felt belittled and taken aback as if i was doing something wrong. I understand you have policies in place, but there is a way to talk to paying customers and you can deny someone in a friendly way. This gentlemen's aggressive and rude nature needs to be addressed. I will not be going back to that location because of him.
Hello,
In this instance, no purchases should of been allowed as both guests did not have ID. It seems the CSR decided to make his own rules up. We will look into this.
