British Gas Services review: Main drain damaged by gas pipe

on the 14th january i had a drain survey done as my main sewerage drain was continually leaking sewrage.The survey showed the problem was the gas pipe had been laid through the drain causing a dam effect . i contacted scottish gas networks who came redirected the gas pipe and had the drain repaired. The cost of the drain survey was 240 pounds i feel as the problem was caused with the gas pipe being wrongly fitted through the drain i should be compensated , with that bill being deducted from my next quarterly bill. i contacted british gas who told me i would be contacted within 5 working days that was over 17 days ago i await your reply.
