Bob's Discount Furniture worst quality

DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM BOB"S! I purchased bedroom furniture from them in August of 2007. I also purchased the goof proof which is a complete waste of time and even more of a headache. Within the first 2 months of owning the furniture all of the tracks had broken on the three dressers, I have a giant split in the wood of my nightstand and the backs of the chests are bowing, their response "it is passed warranty" I can not believe how this crap can be sold. If I knew where Bob lived I would use this crap furniture to start a bonfire on his front lawn. He should be ashamed of himself and this sham of a business. The customer service is pathetic and useless. You get what you pay for with this junk. I have an appt this Saturday for them to come take look at it, I already know they are not going to do anything and if they do it will be at my expense, well I have news for them, I will single handedly ruin Bob's little empire if they do not replace my furniture. I will stand by the front door of his showroom and I will show and tell their potential customers what they will be getting themselves into. I will be the last one laughing at the end if it kills me.

Bob's Discount Furniture horrible expierence

My boyfriend and I bought a house two months ago and purchased our Bobs furniture a month before we moved into the house. I spent close to $5000.00, a new bedroom set and my entire living room. The first delivery was fine and great no problems. Furniture came new and the crew was nice and did a good job. However our Media Center was on backorder for 2 months! Each time I called they told me next week next, that went on for the entire month of June. I finally got my media center last friday, but not before arguing with them of why they cant schedule the delievery when I'm home, they said because their computer schedules everything they have no control on the schedule, needless to say I have to have my boyfriends mother at my house at 730am and wait for the table to come. When I got home, the table was full of dust, the draw was broken, had scratches and a dent in it along with a heavy duty staple hanging out the bottom. So I called and demanded a new table, which was fine they said ok you'll have it next week. So that was solved.

Now my bed, after 3 weeks of having it the middle slat on the bottom snapped. I called for them to come replace it, so they came this past thursday. When the tech came he had the wrong piece and in front of my boyfriend tried jamming it into the mail side rail and then sawed off a piece of the middle slat to make it smaller to fit. On top of that put scratches and chips in the bed. Ok so the slat was fixed, but then two nights later the bed collapsed completely while sleeping in it on the side where the tech was working! I couldnt believe my bed on basically on the floor. So after calling and arguing with Customer Service after an hour they said they will send out a tech next week, next week?!?! We're sleeping on the floor! So I called back again and spoke to a supervisor he pushed up the Tech to Wednesday, but I mean come on I want a new bed, I dont want this one fixed, they obviously dont know how to fix it right, cause they just made it worse! So I had to threaten them with a Lawyer and the Better Business Bureau for them to put me through to the Corporate Office and the guy on the phone said I will have a new bed in my house by Thursday. I went through so much crap and so many headaches with their stupid customer service and stupid policies. When your furniture break because your tech didnt know what he was doing you give the customer what they want period! Especially when its only 2 months old and the customer spends $5000 in your store!

Bob's Discount Furniture mattress

In 2002 I purchased a mattress set from Bob’s Discount Furniture. In 2004 that same mattress set was deemed defective and Bob’s came to my home and replaced the mattress. Five years later in January of 2009 the second mattress was deemed defective by a technician and once again Bob’s issued a store credit and allowed me to pick out a new mattress. I visited the store and picked out what I was told was a quality mattress. This past weekend a technician was again dispatched to my home and Wade determined that the mattress placed in my home 6 months ago was also defective with a 2” depression.

In speaking to Bob’s customer service department on Saturday July 18th I was told the options available to me. They included issuing a store credit which would enable me to visit the store to pick out a new mattress set and coordinate a delivery time. I asked for Bob’s to come to my home to remove the mattress set and issue me a full refund; I was denied. The CSR, Marlene indicated that she was authorized to issue refunds only. When asked to speak to her manager, Candice, I was told the same. Marlene indicated that Candice was the top manager of the department and would not authorize a store refund.

Marlene went on further to say that the first mattress replaced in 2004 was not even inspected by technician. I rebutted with the directions I was given in 2004, to take a broom handle, lay across the bed so the depression was in the center of the handle, measure the depth of the depression and send in the results. This was done and the mattress was replaced. Marlene further detailed to me that the warrantee from the first mattress set was carried over the course of the past 7 years and applied to each subsequent replacement.

I did not speak to Candice directly as I was told by Marlene that Candice would not offer anything more nor a refund. Marlene did in act say she felt my frustration and request for a full refund. I simply do not want another Bob’s Discount Furniture mattress set delivered to this house. Within 7 years 3 mattress sets have been deemed defective. At some point, the time being now, this must end. It is now my understanding that I have 2 weeks to take advantage of the store credit offer. Two weeks and counting to resolve this matter with Bob’s.

I am frustrated beyond believe and facing the fact that I will be out of $699 for the mattress and $280 for the box spring. Given the set of circumstances, I feel Bob’s should do the right thing and refund the amount spent on the mattress and box spring. They have not achieved a level of respect as a retailer which provides superior or even great products. The third time was not the charm. Over the past 7 years too much of my time, personal and professional, has been given to Bob’s in trying to reach a mutual satisfactory resolution.

About a year and a half ago I purchased the bob o pedic and right away we had problems with it! it was sinking and uncomfortable.The bed i also purchased was crap too! the foot post came off as well as a piece on the headboard. I called customer service and no one would ever get back to me. i went into the store that i purchased my furniture and was told that the manager was not there and that she would call me the next day. no call. i went in again and met the manager. i was then told that someone from corp would call me...no call! so i decided to call bob himself at corp office. I left a message on his voicemail and within 3 hrs i got a return call from his secratary. she was very sweet i must say. she said it was very unlike the bob o pedic to do that so she sent a new one and had the bed fixed. then about 4 months later the bed started to sink again and was indented on one of the corners that the delivery guy said was just from the cold and would go away. now my bf and i weigh around 185 each so there is no reason for this to happen again. i called again and was told i could go pick out a diff mattress i did and this will now be my 3rd time of crappy bob beds! I cant remember the name of the mattress i got this last time but it not only is sinking to the point were the middle of the bed looks like a mountain but it is lumpy all over the bed. i feel like we havent had a good night sleep in a year. i even went out and got a down feather bed to try and help and it didnt it just made it all worse. Im not happy and am waiting for a returned call again. this time i just want my money back and will go some place else!

Bob's Discount Furniture desk delivered damaged

Have bunk beds purchased at Bob's a few years ago...went back to purchase matching desk, and did so immediately. Desk was delivered damaged, and a new desk was to be delivered the following week. No call, no desk! When I called, a new delivery date was set. On that date, I received a call, telling me VERY rudely that the desk had been discontinued and that my only option was to keep the damaged desk, or return it. I told them that undiscounted, the desk was not worth it (chipped corners, drawers that didn't slide...a floor model, I was told), and to please pick it up. They arrived within 10 minutes to retreive their desk. When I called customer service to inquire as to why I had not been informed that the desk had been "discontinued", I was dealt with in the most trivial and rude fashion. I sent an e-mail to their regional offices, and was told that they INDEED had desks, undamaged, in their warehouse facility, and I would receive a call the following day to get a new, undamaged one. Not only am I still waiting for this phone call (for about 2 months), I amstill being billed for a desk that I do not have!

Bob's Discount Furniture carpet beetles in couch

My kids bought a couch at Bob's Furniture. The first two came in damaged and finally the third couch was ok. In three months the living room was infested with carpet beetles. The exterminator said that they were definitely in the couch as when he went to kill them they crawled back into the couch. Bob's will NOT stand by their furniture. However someone told me that a place where she worked had a Bob's couch dellived also and it was filled with bugs. They did take it back. They will not give us back our money. We had to throw away 2 carpets, bomb the apartment, bring all the clothes to the dry cleaner and stay in a hotel for two nights until it was safe to go back.

Wow, thats awfull. They should at least give you a refund, could you have the exterminator write a letter for you stating it was the couch? Did you keep all of your receipts, including hotel, bug bombs, exterminator, dry cleaners, and the charge for the couch, if so and you could get the exterminater to write the letter for you, it sounds like you have a real good law suite on your hand and you have a great chance to win, plus get the court cost back, if you have all of the for mentioned "ducks in a row"
what are carpet beatles, are they all over in the usa or just certin parts?

Bob's Discount Furniture crap for furniture

This company should be shut down...the products are made of balsa wood...While I was shopping there (wife's idea), I walked by a bedroom piece of furniture and the whole top part just fell off.. ALL the salesmen just scattered and went out of sight...If I could picket the place I would just so other unaware customers would not be suckered...Everything that was bought there from our freinds was returned at some point...Discount my A_ _ ! If I didn't have a new 59" TV that I love, there would be holes in the screen from each time his commercial came on... Bob belongs in the same room as that "Maze" guy that sells cleaning products...with the key thrown away...

Any company that calls it's furniture "Bob-O-Pedic", "Bob-O-Lounger" is "Bob-O-Garbage".
The givaway is in their inane commercials which make me want to committ mayhem on that grinning [censored] and that blond vapid monkey woman.

Yeah.. their furniture is "Untouchable" all right, touch it and catch a freakin virus from Bob.

Bob's Discount Furniture unassembled furniture rip off

I purchased an electric fireplace media center. It was not cheap! We paid $600 for it, and it is a lovely looking piece of furniture. The salesman told us we would have to install the firebox into the mantel. He said this 2 to 3 times, so we would not expect a fully assembled fireplace.

However, our good salesman neglected to say the mantel would not be assembled.

So, after waiting 3 weeks (the store carries no stock except for damaged goods in their 'pit.') for it to be shipped from their main warehouse, we went to pick up the item and much to our chagrin, the warehouse person drops 2 boxes into the pickup truck. I asked where the mantel was. He kicked one of the boxes and grunted 'here.'

I went inside. I was told that this was a 'flat pack' purchase. I calmly stated that I expected to put a firebox into an assembled mantel. No, no, no, that was wrong, I was rather rudely informed.

When I began to explain what I understood the purchase to be, the young lady became rather indignant stating that I had to take it as it is.

So...I took the pieces in the boxes, because I wanted this fireplace.

However, next time I want to purchase 'flat pack' furniture, I will NOT spend $600, and I'm sure my 'flat pack' furniture purchase will be made at IKEA or Christmas Tree Shop.

It took me about 4 hours to assemble this (with assistance holding parts). I do not believe it was meant for the average consumer to put together.

Bob's is a rip-off. The minute they get your money, they treat you very different.

I would not recommend this store to anyone.

Bob's Discount Furniture broken sofa

Bought a sofa from Bob's Discount Furniture. The frame broke within 2 years. called Gardsman only to be told a claim could not be filed over the phone, they had to send me forms. I filled out the forms and sent them back only to be denied because "claim was not filed within 5 days of mishap.Got no where with either Bob's or Guardsman. Try calling for service and you get put in a loop on the phone. Try to contact corporate office, you are put back into the same loop try the internet NO WAY how doyou contact Bob for service or even to have him make good his promises in his TV ad's. Bob won best retailer for 2008. Look out if this is as good as it gets.

Bob's Discount Furniture bed bugs

I had bought a mattress and boxspring from Bobs in CT. Soon after I started getting what I thought was a rash. So I didn't think much of it. One night I was laying in bed watching TV and I saw a little black bug on top of my sheets so I got a tissue and went to kill it and it turned into blood. I knew what it was right away. I cryed all night. The next morning I called a specialist and they came out and confirmed it was BED BUGS! Everyone in the house (6 adults and 2 babies) had to pack everything we owned in bags, wash all of our clothes in hot water. They came and spayed 3 weeks before Christmas 2008 and they told me that the main source was from my mattress and boxspring. My little girls cryed when we had to take down the Christmas tree and we weren't able to have a Christmas. I called bobs right away and the man I talked to said I had to talk to the woman who deals with there bed bug complains(what does that tell you) so I left her a message and she called me right back and was telling me there was no way I got the bed bugs from them and didn't want to hear it they wouldn't do anything for me. Everyone had to get rid of there boxspings they were not saveable. My parents called sleepys and they were so nice they gave them a dicount on a new boxspring(Bobs wouldn't even do that) It is now April and we have had them spray 3 times and we still can't get rid of them. DO NOT BUY FROM BOBS UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS!

Bought a $700 sofa from Bob's. Same thing, mysterious bites we attributed to spiders or fleas or something. Finally, weeks later we finally uncovered the horrid truth. Bob's says it is IMPOSSIBLE that it came from them. Call your local media. It is the only way to pressure them into changing their practices.

I purchased a living room set from Bob's months ago and shortly after we began to get bit...when calling Bob's I was told there was nothing that they can do! I spent 1800 on that living room set!

I just purchased a sleeper at Bob's Discount Furniture in MA. It's a guest room and we do not routinely sleep in there. My daughters watch television occassionally. About a week after I received the sofa, I went to fold the sofa closed. My daughters and I noticed a little bug crawling along the underside of the mattress. I picked up the bug and flushed it down the toilet. The thought of bed bugs had NEVER occurred to me. A couple weeks later, I was watching a show on the Discovery channel. There was a segment on bed bugs. The bug I saw was the EXACT kind of bug that was lurking on the bed. Tonight I have to investigate with a flashlight to determine the extent. I'm learning just how bad this could be especially based on the countless posts of bed bugs at Bobs.

"Tiffany" from corporate was extremely rude and implied that the bug could have come from one of the painters who painted the room. Every excuse she could think of...other than the FACT that witnessing this bug coincided with the arrival of our Bobopedic mattress, including that the bug in this "later" stage proves that it's been here for many months. Insane! I'm speechless. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. Her tag line was "how do I know the bug was not living in the cracks or crevices of your room?" Completely unprofessional and classless operation. Completely shocked and speechless and the unprofessional nature of Bob's Discount Furniture store. Purchase made in Bellingham, MA.

Most discount places offer used or refurbished items. There is probably a clause in their Terms & Conditions and probably nothing you can do.

I hope you took them to small claims court along with your receipts for spraying and for the mattresses.
Don't let them get away with that. Call the newpaper or consumer affairs. Call you r credit card company if you charged them.

My husband worked for Bob's, they take back mattresses and do not sanitize them, then sell them in the "Pit" (damaged furniture area). This is highly illegal. They just rewrap your bedbugs in plastic so the item looks new. So sorry kids, but if you speak up at Bob's, you lose your job . We've got proof, it's called unemployement.

Bob's Discount Furniture recieved damaged ripped sofa set

My wife and mother went into Bob's to buy furniture, sales man named Angel Concepcion was very rude to them from beginning to end then the Furniture that was received was damaged spoke with the store manager at that location Vincent Davis very rude and all was said that Bob's has been in business for 18 years and My situation wouldn't put it out of business We the customers put Bob's Furniture in business and we the customers can put him out of business he needs to go back to core values of treating customers right Bob do what you have to do to get it right or you will become a memory in an furniture conversation "Where did you get that furniture", "oh At Bob's but hes out of business now guess he didn't his customers right." "Yup that's right Customers are a core of all business!

Everything bad said about Bob's stores is true and I have experienced it all.Bad delivery people, damaged furniture repaired to look new, poor quality finish that chips off at the slightest touch. Stay away from them. Better yet go to one of their stores and give them grief.

Bob's Discount Furniture quality of furniture/poor customerservice

I went to Bobs to purchase`a dinette set and a bedroom set. Upon the first delivery the driver arrive with the dinette set and half the bedroom set. The Furniture is definitely is of poor quality, cheap is an understatement. When I called customer service, because the store will no longer deal with you after they have your money. I got 10 stories from 8 people. They set up another delivery date again and came again without the entire bed. 10 phone calls later here we are again today waiting for the rest of the bed only for me to call customer service to find out that they are stating no one is coming today because the bed was delivered. I do not have the bed and I cannot get a straight answer from anyone at this company. I have now taken 3 days off from work, have been sleeping on the floor for 7 days and the customer service person suggested that I put the mattress on the blanket. The customer service at this company is horrible, I asked for a supervisor or manager and all of the customer service people feel that they have worked there long enough and they can assist me. They refuse to escalate the call. My advice to the furniture buying consumers. I know times are hard and we are all on a tight budget, but shop around and never patronize this terrible organization.

On September 2, 2017 I purchased 3 rooms of furniture, the salesman stated the dining room set would be delivered the last week of September. No call, I had to physically go back to the store to be told that they further backordered the set, and that it would be in on October 27, well that day came and went. I then called the store on November 3rd, and was told that the dining room set would not be delivered until the first week of December. That was a deal breaker, the quality of the furniture is not that great.

We have had nothing but problems since we first placed our order. Items were delivered damaged numerous times, replacement parts and pieces never got delivered, deliveries were incorrectly scheduled and the list goes on and on. This has been going on for 6 months! As a means for them apologizing for the inconvenience, they said they would send us a $100 gift card - like I would actually buy anything (even free) from them. Their offer definitely doesn't make up for 6 months of poor customer service!

I was told that my furniture would be four days after my delivery date but, instead it took two weeks on five different delivery dates. I missed four days of work because I had no one else to wait for my furniture. Top it off EVERYTHING came broke and everytime they came my furniture was broke. One of their delivery men told me he would not leave the furniture with me if I didn't sign for the furniture, but, when you have dealt with so much poor customer service who would sign it, he treated me as if I rented the furniture when I actually paid in full for it. I was told that I would be compensated with my delivery charge and a gift card...Now they are telling me I'm only getting the delivery charge so I'mn waiting for someone at customer service to pick up which *** cause everytime you call for them you have to wait for at least 15-20 mins...Bob's you SUCK! I hate your guts!

I ordered a love seat couch in September 2017 and I was thinking while I am renovating the apartment at the time so I can afford to wait a little bit. The sales were saying the wait time could be up to 5 months. After renovation, I move in November 2017 and decide to stop by the bob's store to ask how they doing with the order. The clerk told me the order is ready to ship. I was surprised that it only takes them 2 months though they were saying it could take 5 months previously. so I happily pay the rest of the balance and schedule an delivery date in November 2017, but since then, the delivery date has been reschedule for 5 times (not my fault, bob push back date) and it is now almost Feb 2017 and I still don't see my couch. Everytime they give you excuses like "your order hasn't arrived to shipping warehouse yet", "This is holiday season.", Shipping team is busy. Shipping team is on vacation for holiday", "It was snowing in CT and truck got bury in snow"...Finally, I had enough so I ask for a refund and they say it will take 3 to 5 days to get money onto my credit card. This is day two waiting for refund and waiting...Don't shop at Bob. They gave me 100 dollar "gift card" for my trouble..., but who has the right mind to shop there again?!? Dont shop at BOB!

I purchased 2 sofas and a complete bedroom set on Dec 15, 08. It arrived Dec 19 and I was on the floor on the 26 of Dec. The rails & footboard completely broke. When I called they said they would send some1 out yeah a week later and it was only to inspect it. It was defective and so was the dresser. So they reordered it and it was to arrive on Jan 10. I received a call to state that the bedroom set they were sending was also defective. (What a joke). So I called to tell them to pick up everything, I don't want any of it. 1st they wanted me to keep it by offering me a $50 credit to use in the store, then $100 credit and for them 2 make an effort in sending the delivery the 3rd time. Uh NO! So they came to pick up the furniture on January 24, 09, and stated that when it arrives at the warehouse my cc would be credited back within 3-5 business days. Well guess what I'm still waiting for the credit. Customer Service has no idea who should be making the credit, oh you have to call the store they make the credit, or you have to call cs they make the credit. It's been almost 2 months & they are so dumb founded when I call to let them know I'm calling the BBB on them. I would not recommend purchasing any items from this place as they have a bunch of sales people who swoop on you as soon as you walk in the front door, and when there's a problem you can't go back to them for any type of help. Well, what do they care they already received their commission.

Furniture and service is crap my wife and I have been calling bobs and guardsmanfor over a year with my sectional colapsiing spring popping out pillows coming off the back and I called and bobs cant help and guardman said I called them to late for them to help what kind scam is this if bobs sells you insurance and it don't help so what am I to do, they say my kids might have cause the damage but my youngest is 8, 10 and17 they are human not animals.

What I thought would be a simple rug purchase turned of to be an experience that left me so upset that I will NEVER purchase from them again.

We went to their Westchester location. The furniture looked cheaply made. I told my wife lets get out of here. But she noticed a rug that she really liked. So we purchased it. The salesman said I would have it in three days. After three weeks of the run around by their staff. We canceled. Everytime I called I was given such a run around not to mention being on hold for ten minutes at a time. Stay Away. Very Unprofessional staff.

Not only did our delivery date get moved further back after we paid in full but their delivery guys make a whole in my wall with out me knowing ..but then had the nerve to tell me they couldntr fit it in the door way with out doing damage which they did do damage to begin with...so they took it back and instead they brought up the tables and lamps i ordered which were damaged horendously and we were mising a lamp then they gave a hard time about getting our money back because their delivery guys wouldnt take back the damaged tables and lamp with them and we had it in the house for about a week...so we reordered ...had to pick out a whole other set and everything...waited another week and again...it happened again..except this time the couch was damaged and they sent the tables without the screws to put together, , , in all, , , i lost about 500 of 1500 dollars because they wont give back the total in full.

Placed furniture order online. 2 days later no contact, so I called and they had no record on an order even though it was charged to my credit card. Spoke to many people over many hours, transfered here and there. Received voicemail that order was found in the accounting department but never assigned to a store for delivery. Person on voicemail stated that they would call back next day to followup but never did. Then it all started again next day, many hours on phone but no one knows anything. Submitting dispute for charges as never have received furniture and the company can not give a clear answer as to what is going on.

Furniture delivered damaged, my sofa and loveseat were ripped on the bottom and the sofa had a note attached on it, stating (DO NOT KICK THE LEG)also my end tables were damaged.I would like to be compensated for my patience and discomfort, by sending me a lamp. When my order goes out to be delivered again. That is no way to send merchandise out from the warehouse. I hope that this doesn't happen again, otherwise I will consult Consumer Affairs. That is no way to conduct a business, I'm sure Bobs Discount doesn't want to get a bad name.

Bob's Discount Furniture safegaurd protection

Purchased high dark wood cherry kitchen table with the built in leaf inside back in 2005. YOu can walk by it and the screws from the chairs would just fall out.
Well I finally opened the table up wiht the help of 6 of my adult friends, we were able to use the that extra piece to make the table larger. For years I would call up and they kept givning me an accuss, oh the wood swelled up.. Its Winter. ..
Well make a long story short, No one is willing to help me, open the table and tuck the leaf back in .. My table is stuck and wont open...
BOB DISCOUNT SPEAKS FOR ITS NAME.. POOR QUIALITY, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES,
he stands by nothing but your money..

I will NEVER buy anything from them again..

also purchease a living room set.. I wont even tell you about that case..

Now my mom bought bedroom set with 3months.. and last nite the post at the end of the bed came off.. hmm.. and noticed a knick on the frame..

I aslo had a tech come to my house twice, the first guy was very rude unprofessional to me.. He had the nerve to ask me why did I buy the furnture.. .. why this? and why that? Well I told him to get the #$#% of my house, and I called BOBs imeediatly.. The second guy came a week later and passed the buck over to safe garud athat I had to make a claim.. ..

from a couch bought from Bob's. Any chance you would give me
an affidavit of your experience with them?

after making my first bob's discount furniture purchase, i now have bed bugs infested in my home. in my entire life, i have NEVER had a bed bug problem until the Bob's furniture entered my home. I believe the increase in bed bug infestation is directly related to Bob's furniture products being purchased from when they first went into business. The company should be mandated to fumigate properly to stop their intense cause of bed bug problems whereever their product resides.

Bob's Discount Furniture bad quality!

After many purchases including my 81 year old mom that sleeps on a down mattress including my 20 year old daughter bought about 5 years ago you would think Bobs cared? Well there motto is after the purchase you own it! Furniture also! Couldn't resist buying 2 sets in 2 years.(DUHHH) We found padding inside moving around causing bulging all over! I bet your now thinking we are 300 LBS. and that is what happens. Guess what? My 20 year old weighs 105 LBS. and my mom weighs about 135 LBS. My wife And I are both less than 200 LBS. and Bob says our furniture even with the warranty claims I need too contact the manufacturer!? I gave up after months of his snotty people in his out of town help! GOOD LUCK too anyone with problems.

I purchased a dinette set and a bedroom set back in February. 1st problem they delivered everything but my mirror and dresser. So I go to the store and was told "your sales rep screwed up" by a manager who seemed very nice. He assured me my stuff would be delivered on Saturday, so I call on Friday and confirm my delivery, they had no idea what I was talking about. Guess what when I went to the store the last time, I had that manager sign my paper and gave me a copy of my original order. They ended up giving me my delivery charge of $169 back. They finally delivered it and everything was fine until...

This past Friday, my bed came down. The whole weekend I scraped my hand trying to lift the box spring back up on the frame. Came down when me and my 5 year old was in the bed, my 5 year old was sick so I let her sleep with me. Then it came down with my 4 month old niece in the bed, a 4 month old. Thankfully no one was injured but still. I called them today since I have the Goof Proof Plan and the customer service rep tried to tell me the earliest she has is next Tuesday. I told her I have been sleeping on the couch and I refuse to sleep on the couch until next week. She gave me a date of Thursday, I am going to have my brother be there. I read from someone who commented that when they came, they just inspected and I confirmed with the customer service rep that they are going to see if they can fix it or they can take it and give me a new one. This is crazy. I WOULD NEVER EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!

Bob's Discount Furniture terrible customer service

They are liars! You would think in this horrible economy they would be kissing your feet! I recently went to bobs to buy a new bedroom set, and mattress for our new apartment. First he told me all the parts were all in stock. Then he told me it could be at my new apartment the day I moved in (Saturday). We decided it was perfect and went forward and bought it. Once my boyfriend signed the paperwork, his whole story changed. All the parts were not in stock and it would not be shipped until later on the following week! He was a complete liar! Make sure you get the correct story before you sign anything!

Keep in mind Bobs is one of the few furniture stores in ma who LEGALLY re-sells used mattresses thats why they require the mattress has no stains when you return it ...look it up... beware.

Bob's Discount Furniture leather love seat and sofa

So I decided to get a "leather" love seat and sofa from Bobs...When they shipped the furniture they didn't mentioned or measure the doors to see IF they would fit...Wouldn't you assume that they would have more knowledge in regards to helping you out with measurements. Or at least advise IF IT"S POSSIBLE!

Ohhh no no no they wedged the love seat and sofa though a 32" door when the furniture is 35". They ripped parts of the leather, broke the back portion of the love seat "frame". AND chipped my doorway...

I called to see if a "Tech" would come and see if it's possible to fix and not send them back... I just said hell with it...and wanted to see if they had something else. Nothing I wanted would fit through my door, all measurements are too big. I just want my money back……

Wouldn’t you assume that they would try to help you find something similar or something that would fit? NOPE, they didn’t care, I assumed since times are tough now they would TRY to accommodate me with something… NOPE no interest.

I said…”I want my money and I do not want to deal with this POOR service…… did they care... NOPE!

Best part! They didn’t refund everything I paid for the Love Seat and Sofa…..They said that they would charge me for the delivery since it was not a manufacturing damage? WHAT! …..THEY DAMAGED IT WHEN THEY WEDGED IN THE DOOR……

So my question … How do I get my money for delivery back?

I have pictures to prove they ripped it before returning it!

which sofa did you order? I am thinkng about getting a sofa/ love seat from Bobs also, but will have the same problem as you... I called and they said the door should be 35" wide. Most of the sofas looked like their measurements were larger than 35" wide though. I'm thinking of ordering the McKenna since its the smallest one.

Bob's Discount Furniture Quality of Purchase

I purchased a sofa and an over sized chair on special order from Bobs. The order came later then noted, and the quality of the sofa is terrible. Along side of that I purchased the high cherry table with 8chairs. I spent alot of money there.

Sofa and chair bows when you sit in it. I have called several times for them to come out and fix it. they claim that there is nothing wrong with the structure and it is wear and tear. Well I am the only one who lives there part time. They came out and said nothing that we can do . I had to go to home depot and buy plywood to put in the sofa it helped somewhat with bowing but the cushions DO NOT HOLD there form. Very cheap.

Now the table, the chairs were wabbly and shakey. Occacssionaly some screws would fall out on there own, with out people sititng on it. I finally decided to expand the table for the first time this weekend. it took 6 adults to get the table opened.

I am very unhappy about the products and services of BOB DISCOUNT FURNTURE..

I purchased furniture from "BOB'S' that was a special order. It was delivered on 06-07-08. I immediately had to call the same day with a problem and subsecently 2 other times within 90 day's. The furniture was sent back due to defect's which could not be rectified, I.E. we no longer carry this item"LANE", to you can come in and select something different...

Bob's Discount Furniture company is a joke

I wish I had found these reviews prior to going to Bob's Discount Furniture. I have never received such awful customer service-especially now when they should be appreciating any business they can get! I got my table set home, only to open it up the next day to find the wrong color was enclosed-even though correct color noted on box. I was basically told it was my fault for not checking sooner, then told they could not come exchange it. Once they finally "did me the favor" of putting in the exchange, I actually had to PAY and additional fee to have the incorrect one taken away, and correct one brought. I could not return it, because I would only get a store credit, for an item that was incorrect on their end! I paid the fee, as a credit to a store I will NEVER set foot in again would be worthless, so I might as well try and get something out of my horrible experience!

Bobs furniture *** they ruined my furniture and my wood floors when delivering my couches, tables and bedroom set over 3, 000 worth i think they suck fat *** and id rather go to cardi's i think when they do the commercials the lady in the commercial *** bobs *** on the bobopedic hahahaha they yelled and screamed at us upon delivery cause they delivered my furniture in the poring rain with no cover on the furniture i think that bob should suck everyones *** who he *** over the stuffs cheap in price cause the furniture.

I contemplated purchasing, ads seem too good to be true... perhaps he should focus on quality and customer service and lose the annoying skirt "cat" and I do mean annoying; she adds nothing to the commercials except blatant dumb blond "duh" stupidity, and am sure she rakes in a bundle... focus, focus on customer and quality... the commercials are totally gag city and are designed for a child mind set; kind of makes us seasoned folks feel like we are in grade school, probably because the skirt "cat" (who they really need to lose or revamp) was a former school teacher... glad I read these reviews.
