On 1/12/2026, my cousin and I went into Bob Evans restaurant #2028 in Ashland Ohio. I have not been happy for a while about the quality of the food and service but decided to give it one more try as it had been a while since I had been there. I am disabled and walk with a cane and I told the lady who asked us how many and we wanted a booth, I never imagined we would be taken to a booth that was barely large enough for one person and put us there. We passed all kinds of empty large booths and then be put into this small booth.
When we gave our order and waited 15 minutes for the food. The omelet was cold, the cheese wasn't melted; the biscuits had been overbaked and chewy instead of light and fluffy. The sausage gravy bowl was barely warm. The bill came to $35.90 and the food and service wasn't worth more than $3.59. As much as I always loved Bob Evans, it has gone too far downhill I would assume since how Covid changed eating out but after yesterday, I thought how Bob Evans would be turning over in his grave at how too many of the restaurants bearing his game no longer is the kind of place he started so many decades ago.
Recommendation: If you care about good food the way you ordered it and good service, stay away from this Bob Evans restaurant. I won't ever eat there again.
