Club Boardwalk Resort review: Presentation information not what you obtain when you purchase

We attended a sales presentation that touted great travel to many places including Hawaii, Europe, and Mexico. The agent stated that this was not a timeshare. He also described vacations to Italy, France and other areas of Europe and would ask the audience how much they thought that these vacations would cost. An example was a trip to Italy with two weeks stay and airfare. He stated that you could choose the airline that you preferred because then you would be able to collect airline miles. He stated that the savings is because you are paying to join this vacation club that has their own agents making the plans for you thus saving money. He stated that the eight thousand dollar trip would cost an average of four thousand dollars. We paid twelve thousand dollars for this vacation club. The reason why you can select the airline that you want to fly is because they don't do the airline as part of the cost, they will give you ideas but the cost is what you would pay if you went directly to the airline website. The hotels are not a bargain, they provide you with several choices in a particular city and those hotels can be found on other travel sites such as Booking.com, Travelocity and for less money and better cancellation options. We were definitely scammed. We paid twelve thousand dollars and have received absolutely nothing except remorse. We could have had a very fine vacation to Europe for that amount of money.
