I made a reservation at Patterson Kaye Resort from December 20th to December 23rd
I made a reservation at Patterson Kaye Resort from December 20th to December 23rd. The reservation was for 12 people from 3 families. Unfortunately, a few days before the 20th, the town resort is in entered RED ZONE, as per Public Health due to the Pandemic. This meant that no more than 10 people were allowed to be out in their town. As we were 12 people, I contacted the resort facility on Dec 16th, stating that we would be breaking the law if we came there and therefore they should cancel the reservation. Since then, they have been telling me that they will cancel and refund, but nothing has been done. I have all the correspondence in emails and can submit that if necessary. First, they told me that they are not getting new reservations, therefore they have no funds to process a refund. Then I asked them to give me a reservation for another date, they told me that they are already sold out for that date, which clearly means they are taking new bookings but not refunding money. This cancellation was not our fault as it was their town which entered the RED Zone during the pandemic. Regarding this scenario, we had inquired during the reservation and were told that if we cancel due to reasons related to the pandemic, we will be refunded the money minus $50.
