FRAUD! Terrible experience with them. I purchased 2 Jet Blue tickets with them and also purchased the protection plan for a booking refund if for any reason our trip had to be cancelled. I received an email after booking the flight to contact them as the transaction was still pending and I needed to confirm with my reservation number. Called them and was told the flight is no longer available for that price and that they had to cancel my purchase but would be charging me for the protection plan fee of $141 since I was using that service to change or cancel my tickets. WHAT? They cancelled it (if it even really existed) and are trying to still charge me the money for the protection plan. Why would they have the flights available on their site for purchase if they truly weren't available. All a big scam, absolutely steer clear of them!
I have been waiting for months to receive our airline tickets, for which they say they received confirmation from United Airlines. Every week since December, Best Airfares customer service has told me to call the following week, promising that the tickets will be issued by then. We are scheduled to travel on April 5th.
It is now March 27th.
This week I was told to wait for the elusive "Steve" who is the only person there capable of helping me get the promised tickets. First I was told to call again in 2.5 hours because he wasn't there yet. Then call back in another 2 hours. Then I was told he would call me within the next day. When he didn't call, I called again after 24 hours. Customer Service then told me Steve would call me in 20 minutes. When he didn't call, I called again. The guy then told me Steve would call me in 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, I called again. Then I waited on hold to speak with Steve. He promised we would receive the electronic tickets within the next 24 hours. He also said that our tickets were a special deal that are not issued until last-minute. I told him nobody had relayed that information to me. Since December, customer service at Best Airfares keeps telling me to call back on a different date.
Color me skeptical. I heard the promise of tickets in 24 hours before. On the off chance that they finally do get us the promised tickets within the next 24 hours, I still would recommend them or buy from them again.
Correction: I would NEVER buy from them again!
