This is one of those cases where reading the fine print really matters. Travel zoo, like far too many businesses, is removing its customers' rights to have disputes heard in a neutral court of law, and instead, forces participants to travel to New York at their own expense, and be heard by an arbitrator of the company's choosing. Do not do business with any such company. It is slowly undercutting our rights as citizens.

My wife and I have been using TravelZoo for about 5 years and tell everyone we know. We have found and gone on trips to: Ireland , Iceland, Machu Picchu, an 8 day Europe trip. All had great prices. We have used several hotel deals.i.e Montreal, Louisville and we are on our way to New Orleans right now. We also found tours and massages at great prices in NOLA. We occasional find local restaurant deals also. We have saved a ton of money.

I am an international traveler. I have found my best deals consistently to be on Travelzoo.

I have traveled to New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, and numerous other destinations for pennies on the dollar. None of these trips were bare bones and all were rife with four or five star accommodations.

Thank you travel to for allowing me to maximize my travel budgets and enjoy destinations I otherwise might not be able to afford.

We think Travelzoo is one of the best apps for the opportunity to visit great restaurants in the city of Chicago. We only had one restaurant which "laid an egg" - Cyrano's Farm Kitchen where we were really disappointed with the amount of food we were given. The other ten restaurants we visited in 2014 were of great value and a wonderful experience such as the Ritz Carlton, Unite Urban Grill, Tortoise Club, Encore Restaurant, Carmichael's etc.

Current version of application does not work. Apparently the people who created it didn't care to test it first. Now I cant access any of my vouchers etc...which made buying them pointless. Thanks for ruining my long weekend travelzoo! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP. You have been warned. Do not believe the reviews that claim that this app works, they probably work for travelzoo and are lying to you for their own potential gain. Shame on you liars for not caring about your fellow man...

I tried to buy Aladdin tickets that were advertised as part of their Top 20 and the code didn’t work. When I called customer service they didn’t seem to care much and said it would take 3-5 business days to resolve. That’s embarrassing for a company of that size. They should have a more diligent process when posting their promotions. I ended up buying the tickets with ticket master directly and got a call 3 days later saying the code had been fixed. They were not apologetic at all. That’s just bad business.

Good looking app with most features offered on the full site. Two problems I notice are 1. When you shop deals through the multiple sites they DO NOT load in a new window. That means when you want to see prices of another provider, you have no 'BACK' button and must re-enter all the info again :-( 2. Much of the script is at the same (small) scale of the full website. You're unable to flip the page sideways on iPhones and must double tap sections to read. Once these issues have been resolved, this can be a five-star app.

TravelZoo is somewhat deceiving. I needed to book a flight for a sister and I use this app and then their website to look up prices. It showed the very best prices anywhere.

When I try booking it, it directed me to the airline web page. I had to re-enter the info all over again. When the available flights and prices were shown, they were about 50-75 dollars more expensive.

If you are looking to book a flight only, I would really doubt that travelzoo might be the best option. That was my experience with them but it might work for you. I'm personally never using them again.

Nice. So, you go back to RE enter the dates. But no, that screen isn't avail and you have to go all the way back to the beginning

My rec? Use Expedia, use google, use Hotels Tonight...use anything other than this poorly written app

I bought a voucher planning a first time trip to Puerto Rico for the Maunacaribe in Maunabo. Reception staff was friendly but in the first 30 seconds said no refunds. I should've known there was a problem. The beach was covered in trash- I'm talking spare tires and huge piles of plastic receptacles, the smell was horrible. I felt terrible for the other guests who were checking in with children. The pictures presented on the Travelzoo site had to be photoshopped. How could they sell these vouchers? I have sent feedback to them as this hotel advertises WEDDINGS! If Travelzoo sells these without research then beware. Another travel lesson learned. Never use Travelzoo.

The worst travelzoo deal experience. Tried to redeem the offer before the expiration, but was told it was oversold. Was given a reservation for future date. Went in only to find the hotel had redeemed the coupon and I could not print the coupon. In the meantime, the hotel served the meal (minus the advertised Moet, cheap Reisling provided). The hotel gave me hell saying they would not use the bar code from my phone. This debacle went on for over forty five minutes when I remembered I may have printed the coupon earlier. To my relief I found the coupon and was allowed to leave. Food and ambience were okay not great. Hallway carpets to the change room were tattered and dirty. Not likely to return here.

I discovered Travelzoo back in the early 2000s. I was in law school and it was a way to dream about the future. I still regret talking myself out of a Mediterranean Cruise that was so affordable I told myself it couldn’t be real.
Then one day, after years of looking, I took a chance. I had sponsored a lecture from a professor at Trinity College in Dublin and he invited me to visit. I saw a trip to Dublin with flight, a car and accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt for less than the price of a coach ticket to Ireland would usually be. The caveat was it required four people to book.
I walked down the hallway to my directors office and asked if he and his wife want to go with my wife and I to Ireland for a week. He said he would think about it. I told him the price and he laughed. I told him it was at the Ritz-Carlton and he asked “Carlton with a K? Rits-Karlton?” I said nope it was the real thing-but we had to book that day.
We did.
It was the most amazing trip of our lives. We still talk about it.
Since that first trip I have used Travelzoo for a dozen trips from overnight hotel deals that would have been way out to budget but for the incredible Travelzoo deal to business trips where I got a much better hotel much cheaper than booking through any other site.
Every single trip has been so much more than I could have ever expected.
If you are hesitant about trying Travelzoo because you think the deals sound too good to be true, take a chance. I did. I have never ever regretted it!

I have had Travelzoo App on all of my devices for more than 10 years. What I really love about this app is it gives you the best 20 places to go every Wednesday from a list compiled from many peoples best choices, than a TZ group researches these lists, than creates the best of the best to be put on the app! They have been doing this for so long and so well that they have
established a great
relationship with these different companies and at this point TZ is being notified of upcoming promos. The ultimate best of this app gives you a variety that will please someone...deals on cruises, airfares, one of a kind resort, all inclusive resorts, B&B, 2-30 day excursions, even day trips! Each of the 20 weekly narratives give beautiful pics, elaborate details, prices, etc. than lastly who to get in touch with if you want to book a vacation in advance or who to contact if you want to just get away for a couple of days, tomorrow. I call them my travel agency and thus far they have been spot on! I first tried them for a long weekend to Niagara Falls, NY and it was perfect. Than I went bigger and got a great package for Club Med in FL which had child care and entertainment for them as well as for us big kids which was all inclusive. If we spent any money it was only cause we explored that area of FL, as well. Next we took the plunge and got air, beach front private accommodations (all inclusive) with many great amenities such as boating to a great area to snorkel, Tequila chasers before we swam with the largest turtles and most beautiful fish as well as taking a tour to some ancient ruins. This was in Cancun and I never saw a week go so fast. We've often gone to B&B places for a few days, each one nicer than the last. I hope I haven't put anyone to sleep with my lengthy review but I've never given a review for them and I felt it was time. Right now I'm looking for a 6-9 day cruise to Aruba and I think I'm ready to book it, and so should all of you if your looking to go away because this App won't disappoint in selection or price! Like I said before, they have something for everybody! Let Travelzoo help you seek out any possible thing it can offer you and if you don't find it now you always have next Wednesday, and on and on but first~~don't forget to upload their free app!

So far, this new update hasn't been working at all. It keeps crashing and won't allow me to even open the app. Is there any way to remedy this? I loved the older version and used it often, and would hate to have to stop using such a convenient app.

I've tried redownloading the app three times. When it finally gets past the loading screen, all it says is "select a country" but there is nothing to click/select/search/etc. Based on all of the positive reviews, I guess I'm the only one having this problem :/

With location services turned on for this app, it provides local deals for a city no where near my own. The only way I can see my city's deals is to turn off location services and do a manual search. Also, where are the push notifications when new deals are posted?

Has everything I need to check on the latest deals or search by location. Purchases are easy and so is voucher presentation to vendors via my phone. Lately, though, it hasn't been loading on my phone. I've tried deleting and downloading it several times but still no luck.

I get a blank screen (e cent for the company logo at top) upon logging in — and I have to input my ID and password manually each time just to do that. No search box, only view option is to view my account settings. I'm hoping there's a fix in the app approval pipeline soon...

I just downloaded the app, and the top 20 has no results because it's searching for today's date in 1901, it has the incorrect date across the top. It also can't find my location or return results when I manually type San Francisco in the search. Did they release the wrong version? Nothing works.

Seriously? Other apps are doing optimization even for Apple watch, while you still haven't done that for iPhone 6+ users after its revealing for half a year, I can't believe this. I mean why do I have to upgrade it when it's all the same with me on my phone? What is the point for these constant updates?

Then I called this customer service and they’re closed who closes customer service?
App crashed and deleted my purchases as well as my billing profile information after I spent time getting all of that prepared. I hope the screenshot of the QR code works

First impression after installing this on my ipad2 was that my ipad had broken because the user interface looked like a very crappy graphic horror. Then I found that is how it's supposed to be. Barely readable, portrait only, and a brief review of "deals" revealed nothing, I decided it was not right to have such trash on my ipad.

I'm trying to look up last minute flight deals. If I try to enter the date by using the calendar it won't select the day and I have to start all over again. If I try to enter the date using the drop down menus it crashes every time! Please fix this. I think this app has potential, but with all the problems I've experienced since I downloaded it, it is useless.

Tried to book a room on Travelzoo , after 5 failed attempts dialed their customer service line which disconnected each time I dialed. The 25.00 I would have saved I used up in time and frustration.
Company use to be decent, I don’t know what happened to them but I do not recommend them. Better off with either going directly to hotel to book or use something like Expedia

What a dump. Shame on you Travelzoo for promoting this dump. Shower did not have hot water, nor did it drain properly, room heater was loose and never heated the room warm enough even though thermostat was on hottest setting- 85 degrees. Bathroom sink was hot and cold were reversed. Bathroom was incredibly cramped. For Travelzoo to promote this, I now don’t trust your website.

The picture depicted in your advertisement is not accurate. I stayed at this hotel 12/29-1/1. The hotel is under construction, virtually no lobby. No eating facility, no room service, broken elevator. Lengthy check in lines,more than 2 hrs, as well as check out. The hotel is short staffed. The location is correct. Housekeeping is also short staffed. It is run very poorly by their management team.

Sadly, I want to find deals on such a site like Travel Zoo, but when I go to get the deal, it's really non existent at the price advertised for the period offered.

Just today a $699 trip from Sfo to Turkey in the advertised period cannot be found for no less than $1400.

Reminds me of the Toyota deals on TV. Fine Print: just one at this deal. And even printer print: that car already sold...

I've purchased 3 of their "deals." One to a luxury hotel and 2 for high rated Boston restaurants.

No matter where I went I always received the "2nd class citizen" treatment because you're not paying full price.

Terrible hotel accommodations, half of the service, worst seating places in restaurants am even sarcasm.

I'd strongly advise; stay away for decent treatment or save and swallow your pride.
