I had gone in as I was buying an item. I was told to use my reward I had to use their credit card. I told the rep my car was broken into and my wallet stolen, and I had canceled card but not yet received the replacement. He said he could look it up. He tried but said there wasn't a replacement sent. He proceeded to have me fill in something online. It said they would run credit and I told him I didn't want a hard inquiry. He said it was just the same as them replacing the card. It wouldn't be a hard pull.
A day later, I get the card he said I wouldn't in the mail. I call lots of people, 5 calls, hold for 15 min twice. All of a sudden I find out the card I got was the replacement, and there was a hard pull on credit and I am getting another. The manager said nothing they can do to make it right. Offered me nothing.
This is a poor experience, and misrepresentation of my credit being pulled and now I have to call and cancel one which isn't good for credit either! I work in a bank... Too.
