AutoNation - customer service / service department

I recently (November 27th) attempted to have a recall issue resolved at this location. I've had work done at this location in the past and the first time went pretty well. The last two times have shown a severe decline in customer service. First of all, for some reason they have my F-150 listed under my wife's name. I've asked them many times to change it to my name and each time I'm told they would. When I received this last recall notice and attempted to schedule an appointment it was difficult due to that reason. I even gave them the VIN and they still was unable to locate the truck in their system, even though they sent me a letter with the VIN on it. Eventually I was able to schedule an appointment for November 27 at 8:30 a.m. and even received at least 3 e-mail noticed confirming this appointment. I arrive on that morning at approximately 8:00 a.m. and get checked in and was told that it would be an easy repair and wouldn't take long. I decide to wait for it. After several minutes in the lounge area I'm told that there was an apparent mix-up with the scheduling department and that it would be later that afternoon before they could get to it. I ask if they could get me a rental for the day and was told that would not be a problem. I was then taken to Enterprise rental and was told that initially AutoNation was going to pay for it but they called back and said that rental was my responsibility. I go back to the dealership and ask what the problem was and was told that the repair does not warrant a rental. If the last two recall issues warranted a rental then why didn't this one? Am I really expected to sit there for 6-8 hours? I was also told that the warranty had expired or they would be able to use that. I told them that I purchased an extended warranty and was then told that they could not find it. I had a copy of it in the truck and was about to show it to them. However, if they didn't want to do the warranty/recall work then I'll go somewhere else. I understand that the auto repair industry businesses don't like doing warranty work because it ties up manpower and bays and does not bring in any money. This reeks of a tactic to chase away warranty/recall repairs in order to dedicate time to work that brings in profit. Hopefully, I'll be able to locate a dealership that can complete this repair. Unfortunately, I'll also have to take another day off work to do it.
