Dear Sir or Madam:

I have been searching frantically for employment for three and a half years, even before the current poor state of the economy.

On November 6, 2006 I was fired cruelly and unnecessarily by the Athol Credit Union. I had worked for them for 2-1/2 years. I was a faithful employee and I loved working there. I have worked for many years and never have I experienced such cruel treatment. Their reports on me are totally untrue. If they did not like me, they could have laid me off, instead of blighting my work record. Before that dreadful experience, I had excellent references.

There were others that left or were fired. Secrecy abounded within certain departments. This Credit Union even chose a group on the second floor in which persons were encouraged to "tell all" if anyone had broken their strict rules. There were many misunderstandings. A slight error, and you had three people coming to you to "correct" you, even though one reminder would be satisfactory. When I left, there were others being accorded the very same treatment, but they said nothing so as to remain in their positions.

I did everything, obeyed, and still, their intractable and intimidating ways were nothing I've ever experienced in my life. I can furnish more details if you wish.

My intellect is very high, and as a senior, am a very active person.

On my current resume, I do not list the 2-1/2 years employment at the Athol Credit Union. They did not instill trust, and certainly this firing ruins any future employment. I would desire to work at a university or college, but now this would be impossible. Formerly, I was employed at two universities.

This Credit Union should be watched. Even a Vice President left because of the stern style of the current President, Kevin Miller. She did not win her case. For some, it was impossible to remain at the Credit Union. At the time, I did not know that I could have reported this to the Labor Board. But for others, certainly this information should be made public.
