Arizona Construction & Restoration Corporation After the restoration, the house was left unsafe

After the restoration, the house was left unsafe. There were exposed tack strips from the carpet removal, nails sticking out from the trim that was taken off, big openings in the walls from the drywall removal, and two ceilings that were left uncovered in the attic. I found loose nails of different sizes all over the house. I told them multiple times that I was worried because I have a mobile 18-month-old child. However, they only addressed these issues when construction started over a month later, and it took them two months to fix everything.

The kitchen cabinets that had water damage were not completely removed. They only took off the faces and sent them out to be rebuilt. When the new cabinet boxes arrived to be installed, they removed the old ones and discovered mold. The restoration began on August 4, construction started and the faces were removed on September 13, and the mold was found on October 6. I expressed my concerns when they didn't remove the old cabinets, but they assured me it was okay. It's worth mentioning that I'm pregnant throughout this whole process.

The last day they worked on the house was on October 11. On October 18, someone in our household tested positive for COVID after their contractor, who didn't wear a mask, got sick on October 13, and then quit on October 14. I talked to the project manager, *** several times, asking about their policy for resuming work. All he said was that we should sanitize and let him know when we were back to normal and our quarantine was over. We did as he asked, and they were scheduled to work on November 1. However, on October 29, *** told me that all but one of his contractors REFUSED to work in our home because we had COVID. The owner, ***, confirmed that work should resume once our quarantine was over, but it seemed like the "cat was already out of the bag." Our next scheduled date was November 8, but it has now been changed to November 22, without any explanation. So, we are now in the fourth month of this project with no end in sight, and we still have a wet cabinet that needs to be removed.
