Animal Care Center

I want to share my experience with Animal Care Center of Panama City Beach, which took place on June 12, 2022. My 10-year-old chihuahua was displaying signs of discomfort and had completely lost his appetite. Concerned about his health, I decided to take him to the Animal Care Center.

Upon arrival, I was informed that the cost for a diagnosis alone would be $600. After the diagnosis, they informed me that the treatment would cost $2600 and that my dog would need to be admitted. Reluctantly, I agreed to the treatment and my dog was admitted for two days.

However, to my surprise, I received a call from the Animal Care Center stating that they had misdiagnosed my dog and that he could be discharged. They sent him home with antibiotics to aid in his recovery. Unfortunately, I noticed that his condition did not improve at all after bringing him home.

I maintained contact with the Animal Care Center, seeking their guidance on my dog's lack of progress. Their only advice was to continue giving him the prescribed medication and wait it out. However, after two days of witnessing his condition deteriorate, I felt compelled to seek a second opinion.

Before doing so, I reached out to the Animal Care Center that morning, hoping to receive a call back. Unfortunately, I never received any response from them. On Thursday, June 16th, 2022, I took my dog to Critter Care, where he tragically passed away on June 21st, 2022.

I firmly believe that the misdiagnosis and premature discharge from the Animal Care Center contributed to my dog's untimely death. It seems as though their primary concern was extracting as much money as possible from me during a time of crisis, rather than providing genuine care and assistance.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or support in this matter.
