America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses review: America's Best, freeway location in Katy Texas are ripping people off.

Been using America's Best since 1975. Never had a problem. When I went 2 weeks ago got the eye exam, 2 pair of glasses (one with bi-focal) as always. 2023 paid 169.00 for 2 pair. That was fine. This year did the same thing. Big difference is I had Humana Medicare Insurance which gave a 249.00 annual credit for eye glasses and exam. They used the total amount 249.00 plus charged me 139.00 cash. Just shy of 400.00. The doctor today tried to do a song and dance about exams being more expensive and the retinal scan. (I paid 20.00 in 2023 for the same EXACT work. Then he told me that the insurance covered just one pair, so I had to pay full price for the second pair. What a crock of [censored]. They are either ripping me off or the insurance company Humana. It's American corporate philosophy now. TAKE ALL YOU CAN AND GIVE NOTHING BACK.
