American Automobile Association [AAA]

On i295 in New Jersey at exit 56 north, there was an object in the road which I hit. My car died and I was just able to get over onto the shoulder. There was nowhere for me to go - there was a car next to me a steep median to the left.

I called AAA for assistance at 11.30am on May 9th 2022. The ETA went out in time on 3 occasions. The driver called to say he was on the way and was it just me. I had a passenger with me. The AAA guy said he could only take me. Luckily the State Police were with me at the time and they took her to Wawa at exit 57 and she got an Uber home. I told the AAA driver this and to just come get me. 5mins later I had a text to say he was at my location and that the problem was resolved! There was no tow truck anywhere near me!

I called AAA again and they said the ticket was canceled! WHAT? I was an older woman, sitting on the side of the interstate on my own! Thirsty, hungry and in pain because I didnt have my medication. I was terrified! I requested another ticket - this was at 3.20pm - I was texted to say ETA was 7.17pm! Ridiculous - this is New Jersey - not freakin Alaska! One creepy guy stopped to ask if I wanted help and would I pay him $20. Then the State Police dropped by again to see how it was going. I was furious.

I canceled the AAA ticket and spoke to Lauri who said she would submit a complaint for me - I've heard NOTHING from AAA.

My friend ordered me a tow for $360, he arrived in 30mins and was brilliant.
