Alpin Haus review: Learn to know what is a 4 & a 6

On Oct 15th 25 we called Alpin Haus RV(Amsterdam, NY) as we have been searching for a Thetford aqua magic iv (4) As we could not find one anywhere, so, we call here and was told "Quote- Yes I can get you one by Friday Oct 17th, (I said, you can get an Thetford aqua magic iv (4)) Sales guy said yes I can, I then asked him to read me the dimensions. (I was on speaker & wanted my husband to hear to make sure it would fit- He read them off TWICE it was a perfect fit (so, we thought) I asked again this is a "Thetford aqua magic iv (4)" yes it is 100% I said fine here is my card number pay for it we will be there on Friday after you call to pick it up-(We live over 2 hours away) He called on Oct 16th and told my husband it was it, again my husband asked, it is a Thetford aqua magic iv (4)- Again, his reply YES it is! fine, see you on Friday, so after driving over 2 hours, we go to parts, and he picks it up and it's a Thetford aqua magic VI a 6! We said you told us it was a 4! The other salesperson sitting at a desk, said- Well according to Thetford, it's a "replacement for the 4! We told him it would not fit as it was to tall, as we purchased one & it was to tall. At no time to anyone ever say, it was a replacement #6! We would have passed. In the end we wasted over 4 hours driving and a lot of fuel to get NOTHING they said they could get. No way would we ever call them for anything and we demand our time & funds we spent getting there & back. A TOTAL WASTE! It seems some sales folks will tell you anything to get you in the door- Next stop BBB! Hope they find this helpful!
