The technician came out to repair our central air conditioner, told us that we just needed more freon without checking for the source of the leak beforehand. He went ahead and pumped 5 lbs of expensive R410 freon into our system and said call if it leaks out again. We did ask him where the freon was leaking from and he said he wasn't sure but it would be a real hassel to check because he'd have to check both the inside and outside units. The freon leaked out in 3 months and air squad wouldn't stand behind their work, saying the freon is never gauranteed. After having a 2nd opinion by a real repair company, we found out that our compressor went out and there was still freon in the system.
