When shopping online for Mercedes Benz parts & accessories, Mercedes owners, dealers and repair shops should AVOID Adsit at all costs.

Adsit Company Inc. has had more than a dozen complaints against it logged with the Attorney General's office in its home state of Indiana, as well as numerous others filed with the national Better Business Bureau.

Orders made at Adsit and at adsitco.com are sometimes filled with incorrectly sized or ill-fitting parts. The company does not practice universally accepted practices for returning merchandise purchased online, like the new, used and rebuilt Mercedes Benz parts and accessories it offers. If every site that offered online ordering of car parts, rims, wheels and add-ons handled complaints and disputes like Adsit, the industry would have a bad customer service history and reputation from which it would be hard to recover.

Even when contacted by phone the staff at Adsit, located in Muncie, Indiana, can be rude, unprofessional and discourteous.

There are many other online Mercedes parts dealers that specialize in new, rebuilt and used Mercedes Benz parts and accessories. ANY other Mercedes parts dealer dealer would be a better parts service for Mercedes Benz accessories and parts than Adsit Company, Inc.

Wish I'd read these comments (nearly ALL of them "negative") before ordering a pair of rear brake calipers for my '83 300TD. They charged my credit card immediately upon my online order (most reputable companies put the charges through when the items are shipped), and said I would receive the parts in 7 business days. It's been over 15 business days and I haven't heard a peep since. LOTS of phone calls and emails on my part; NO RESPONSE. I'm going to have my Credit Card company refuse to pay. I'll NEVER order from Adsit in the future. BIG disappointment.

I have had problems with Adsits as well. I ordered a right front fender for my 380SL. It was a great price until they added the shipping costs that were about the cost of the fender. When the fender arrived, my body shop tried to put it on but the fender was not square and that the top of the fender was concave. If you matched the hood it wouldn't follow the door gap by more that 2" and there was a 3/4" low spot from the hood to the outer edge. When I contacted Adsits, I spoke with Joe. Joe was rude and told me to send pictures. I sent the picture and got no response. After numerous calls and emails I was told that they would send me another fender but that I would have to pay for it and that they would not take the old one back. They said that the body shop was not installing it properly. I have used this shop a number of times for restoration projects on my Ferrari and several other cars.
When I spoke with Joe the last time to told him that I wasn't looking for a refund but would take a credit. He laughed and told me good lick.
I suggest that anyone considering doing business with these guys beware. They are unprofessional and dishonest.

This company is an absolute fraud! I placed one order for OEM chrome rims for my antique Mercedes I am restoring. Regretfully, before they arrived I placed another order for some additional trim and molding parts. On the fax form I authorized the amount of $866.06; however, Adsit changed the amount to just over $1, 015.00, but never received my authorization to change. Initially, they were so rude and accused me of being a thief and "double dipping" a discount. After speaking with my credit card company and proving that Adsit altered the terms of sale without authority, the credit card company refused to pay them. Then when my first order for chrome rims arrived they were terribly beaten-up and clearly used rims that had a thin coat of chrome applied. They looked awful. Adsit said it was "too bad" and that clearly they had been damaged in transit, and they weren't responsible. Steer clear of this organization, and they are fraudsters.

I saw that Adsit Company had their rims on sale last week. $125 for Alloy and $175 for Chrome. I read the reviews, but for the price I had to take my chances... All I can say is I am so glad I did! These new rims are amazing! They look great, direct fit, even my tire shop asked for their information because of the quality and fitment. He said this was a rare find. The shop has since bought five sets for other customer in the area! They have a great product at a great price. I have ordered other small items of little value in the past, but the big dollar amount made me nervous. After this purchase they are my one stop mercedes parts source. The staff is friendly and knows the cars and the parts. I did ask Seth (my salesman) about the reviews... He said that they did have some issues in the past. However in 2013 they implemented a new management team and things have changed form top to bottom. You can see and feel the difference if you read these old post and then give them a call at [protected] or go to www.adsitco.com If you have doubts give them a try or at least give them a call.

I spoke to Adsit on the telephone to order a chrome replacement wheel for our Mercedes, they told me that they would not match the ones on our car but that they had an old stock wheel available that would . They mailed us a mangled scratched up painted wheel. So far we have had no luck in any way in getting the wheel we paid for. We have had the old bait and switch pulled on us. But their sense of safety in ###ing people long distance will not protect them .I can find them .

I am so worried. I just wanted to find out the shipping charges before I ordered. I put my card info in, if summit to find out the order has been submitted! I am so upset. I've tried to call on Saturday, NO answer. I'll call Monday morning. Now that I've read the reviews, I don't want to order from this company. I don't know what the shipping charge is. I fear I'll be totally disappointed. I ordered a starter for a 1988--300E Benz.

I have been a customer of Adsit Companies for over 20 years now. I have had nothing but great success. They have all the hard to find parts at usually a reasonable price. However I do advise that you do read the terms and conditions before you order. They are very clear and simple, and yes unfortunately sometimes they will hold you to the terms. All in all if you call and talk to Joe or Reece you are going to be taken care of. These guys know there stuff and if they don't know they will find out for you. Good company or they would not be in business after 30 years. Harsh policy, but just know that before ordering and you should be ok.

They sent me the wrong color interior kit. Tried to tell me it was my fault. I forwarded my past emails wherein I ordered the desired color, multiple times in writing. Finally got the right color kit. The rear seat bolsters were wrong. The carpet was cut too short for the console sides. They have not responded to my requests to discuss this. My experience has been delay and turmoil. I am also out on the shipping. Several used parts were ordered and also arrived in a third, wrong color shade. I agree with the other comments. Don't do business with these people.

I ordered chromed rims for my Mercedes and they arrived in perfect condition boxes. When I opened them, two of the wheels appeared to re-plated over dents. All of them were scratched. When I called I spoke to Kent, and he got very angry. He basically said that I was being overly critical about the rims and they were damaged in shipping. I told him the double cartons were delivered without any damage. I sent him back the wheels at my expense for an exchange but he refused delivery and they were returned to me. I called him and again he told me there was nothing he could do. I later learned Kent is Kent Adsit the owner. I called UPS per his instructions and an investigator came, examined the wheels and boxes. He took photos. Because the cartons now had been shipped back and forth across the country, he said that there would be no way to file a claim because the boxes were used. I stopped payment with the credit card company and sent them all of the paperwork, photos of the wheels, the report from UPS and history of conversations with Kent. They credited my card for the full amount and stated that Adsit was unresponsive to their inquiries. So I still had the wheels, which were sitting in my garage in the event they agreed to accept them back, and hadn't paid for them. About one month later I received a call from a collector who indicated that I was still liable to pay for the wheels. I told him I wasn't going to pay and would return them at any time. He hung up and I didn't hear anything about the wheels for about 2 months. I then received a registered letter from the Indiana court that Adsit was suing me for the cost of the wheels, around $1200 plus all court costs and shipping. There was a hearing scheduled for 3 weeks from the day I received the lawsuit. I live on the east coast and there was no way I would or could go for this. I hired a local attorney here to call Indiana to find out what was going on? They put me in touch with Adsit's attorney who indicated that his client wouldn't settle under any circumstance and that I or my lawyer needed to appear in court in Indiana. My attorney indicated to me that this wasn't worth the trouble or cost and any decision made by the court there could result in long term problems for me such as liens and compiling interest. After a few weeks, my attorney got them to "settle" for the full price of the wheels and shipping, plus part of the legal fees. The nightmare of my purchase from Adsit was over! We sent them a check and soon received terms of our settlement from the court in Indiana. I kid you not, this was crazy. I have restored cars, some to Concours level and have purchased from many online and mail order part companies whereas some even give me Net 30 terms, and I have never seen anything like this company and this man Kent Adsit.
If you purchase from him you are making a huge mistake..

100% AGREE! I ordered what was advertised as “OEM MB Rims” and I received aftermarket rims. I called to discuss and they said in essence, “too bad, we don’t do returns.” I suggested that this wasn’t so much a return as it was false advertising as I never ordered or have any use for aftermarket rims. Still a response of “too bad.” Finally, after a many painful and insulting attempts to deal with them directly, I threw in the towel and disputed it through my credit card. After supplying the credit card co the original ad, a singed letter from a local MB dealer verifying that they were not MB rims, phone logs of my attempts to resolve with ADSIT directly, etc; the credit card co found in my favor and rescinded payment. I returned the rims (on my own dime) and thought that was the end of it. In the two years since, they have tried to sell my “debt” to numerous collection agencies, saying (I guess) that even though I retuned the rims (of course via certified mail and I have delivery confirmation/signature) their return policy didn’t obligate them to accept them and they were still “my property” so I have to pay them. I have fielded countless phone calls from collection agents, supplied them with the supporting documentation and wasted huge amounts of my time dealing with this horrible company. At least now when a new collection company calls (as in today, prompting this need to vent), it’s quite easy convince them they’re being used more as a harassment campaign than a legitimate attempt to collect a debt. There is almost some (comic I suppose) relief in seeing how quickly their aggressive harass fizzles out and they lose interest. My advice is to avoid this place at all costs! There are so many great MB parts dealers out there who love, and are good at, what they do; I can’t figure why these guys are even in the game when they seem bent on ensuring a miserable experience for their customers, and themselves for that matter?

i ordered wheels for my 01 E320 benz. i received the wheels and centercaps but no lug nuts. When a major tire store installed my tires again Adsit made another error and shipped the wrong center cap.. DEAN my(no)customer service rep. only reply was "we will send the lug nuts to you" I requested if Adsit could overnight the pieces to me and Dean said they do not do overnight and i will get them when i get them. i asked dean if i could speak with this supervisor, his response was "i have been trained for situations like this and there is no one to talk with you. If this is the way this company operates, they should be exprets on what to say for all the wrong orders that are sent out. This is the first and last time i will order from this company
