Oil filter
Had oil changed at a Chevy dealership and two weeks later we had a emergency stop at another dealership due to error on our 2016 Malbiu . It ended up being the AC Delco oil filter had a manufacturer flaw and most of our oil had leaked out. I still have the oil filter and the report from the dealership. Not sure if there will be long term damage to my car but something will be done.
Alternator
I grew up knowing that ACDelco parts were the best in the business. And it was well known that ACDelco stood behind their parts and still do. What is disappointing is that I have purchased 3 alternators in the last two years and another one is now failing. One of the new alternators actually fell apart in two weeks after install.
Its great that you have a warranty but that is not what I wanted. What I wanted was an alternator that lasts maybe 5 years - 100, 000 miles before is just wears out. I noticed that these failed alternators were made in China. I'm sorry to say that your parts are no longer quality and you have lost a customer. Perhaps you should look into American made which is when you had quality.
You can sign me disappointed. Bob Hester, Idaho

Acdelco yukon car battery
Hi there,
I, for a number of years, use ACDelco batteries. Lately my GMC ACDelco battery became dysfunctional and I noticed a spill and some smoke at one side so I got concerned with regard to safety and took the car to a nearby car care shop were the battery was replaced with another ACDelco . I was asked to pay for the new battery despite the old one was still under the first year warranty, and this I was told because the stamp on the warranty belonged to a different place !
I did pay in full but I was not happy with what happened and I have decided to bring it to your attention to see how best this issue may be resolved. Regards

Incorrect dispensing of fuel
I filled fuel at ACDelco Gas Station on Uthman Ibn Affan Road (Al-Izdihar Area) in Riyadh on Saturday - October 28. I had around half a quarter (around 10 liters) of fuel in my car and the warning light was far from turning on.
When the tank was full, I noticed the meter showed 88 liters of fuel. At the most, I have filled 84 - 85 liters of fuel when my tank is almost at end and the warning light is on.
As mentioned above, I had around 10 - 15 liters of fuel, I did not need more than 75 - 80 liters. This means, the gas station is dispensing less fuel and charging money.
The Ministry of Commerce & Investment or relevant department should look into this potential fraud.
Thank you.
Extended Range Battery (EVLN2)
I just had to replce the extended range battery in my 2014 Chevrolet Volt. The ACDelco battery was only 1 1/2 years old and cost me $300 to replace. The car was just out of the 36, 000 miles bumper to bumper warranty. Neither GM nor ACDelco would do anything about this. I'm sorry but a car battery that lasts only 1 1/2 years is a defective battery. I feel that I should be reimbursed for the cost of replacing the battery. There is absolutely no customer service anymore.
Very Slow Service
I brought my car to the workshop for oil exchange. The first date, they told me that they are busy come tomorrow.
The next day, I cam at 8:00 AM (they open at 8:00) and they told me, put your car and come and take by 4 or 5 PM.
It is just oil exchange and your workshop is named Quick Service, did I read it right?

Bad customer service
Al Jomaih,
AC Delco brand.
Dear Sir,
A month ago I bought an AC Delco battery for my car. Although my car is not of American make, I bought this battery due to trust, it's being well-known and the fact that I have loved it since I used to drive American cars. I bought this battery from a big battery dealer located in Bani Malik area, here in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, the battery did not work well. I had the warranty card with me so I went to Al Jomaih, Al Makaronah Street Branch which is near Al Bawadi area. The worker there inspected the battery which was in the car and he felt there was some defect in it so he told me to take it out immediately and bring it. Of course, I had the warranty plus the receipt which proved that the date of purchase was a month ago. Then the worker pointed to a small room, the sign of which read "Wholesale Manager", where sat a bearded man with glasses. I went outside to lock my car and returned to the Wholesale Manager. When I returned to him, he surprised me by saying that he could not replace the battery for me because it was old and that he did not know the dealer who I had bought it from. I asked him whether the battery was AC Delco or not, so he answered that it was indeed an authentic AC Delco battery as proven by the serial number, but that he could not replace it as they have numerous agents and he did not know which agent had sold it to the dealer who I bought it from. I asked him whether the battery belonged to the AC Delco factory in Saudi Arabia or not and he said it did but that the factory was in Dammam! In fact, he kept repeating, " We can't exchange it, it is old, " in a very strange way. I believe and I told him that any product, even if is old or expired, as a customer I have nothing to do with that, unless the expiry date is printed on the product, and the same is the case with
AC Delco batteries which do not have any clear date of expiry printed on them, which can be seen by the customer. I avoided getting into an argument with him because his attitude, I'm sorry to say, was extremely cheap, especially considering he is the Wholesale Manager, someone who should be presentable and have at least a working knowledge of public relations. I was communicating with him in English which is my second language, as an Arab citizen, but he did not even consider that. My response was that this was not a nice way to deal with a long term customer. I called an outside worker to carry the battery outside to my car, after I took the warranty from them, and immediately I went to a neighboring shop and bought a Korean battery with a proper warranty. I let the man install the Korean-made battery in my car in front of Al Jomiah while they watched. As this was taking place, I said to myself that I would never buy AC Delco again, even if it was free.
From now on I will not buy or suggest to my friends or colleagues in my company any AC Delco products or parts because I believe as a marketing person myself, that even if it had been old or expired it was fated to go back to the agent or company, as is their responsibility. That's why it is called After Sales Service. You cannot sell the product and then just disown it to avoid responsibility or liability. But the case with this guy was that he totally avoided any responsibility or liability on his part by refusing to not only replace my battery but also dealing with me in this shabby manner. As for the Korean battery it is of no account to me, but the real loss was the loss of image and reputation that your company suffered at the hands of this so-called Wholesale Manager. This is exactly what happened and you can find the facts out for yourself.
Sincerely yours,
Dr Mazin Mohammad

Ac delco is terrible on warrantee, quality and workman ship on batteries . I have had several problems with ours using as for business and even gm motors will not interven because they said it is ac delco's problem yet they are listed in the internet and so as being ac delco. Who do they think they are fooling. They assume that we all uneducated and ignorant. I have spent many hours with both of their companies and get passed on and on and on. Idots. They sure know how to pass a buck. They are very much against customer satisfaction but just for money and sales. It is time people have thought too big and greedy and not supporting quality and service. They are severely lacking in both areas greatly
my complaint is related to a ac delco battery gone bad within the 42 month warranty but the dealer Fox buick gmc in comstock park mi warranties with a used battery now last i knew a warranty gets you a new battery is this not the case? im actually apalled that a delership pulls this considering there mark up is considerably higher than the auto part stores not to mention if there doing it to me then they do it to everyone the reason i know it was a used battery is because the threads were worn out where the posts screw in you could clearly see it was an older battery they say they will take care of it now that there caught but what about the others that dont catch it im not an attorney but to me this seems fraudlent i would like to see this thru so it doesnt happen to anyone else channel 8 news on your side will be next if i dont get a responce
Well first off do not ever buy a ac delco transmission and filter kit combo well you don't reliezed it till it's to late but they play a stamp on all four corners. These seem to almost just barely stay together. Well lucky me after trip to Illinois for some pallets right the high quality brand new top line companies everyone trust their products or name but not anymore. I will never even buy a glass lemonade from them after my car broke down in the desert and been walking 3 days. However on way back from Illinois it felt like I lost power and it was shifting funny. My buddy had motorcycle and that day he was bored so kind of escorted me to to pick up spots and followed me back. But as the odd never before happened issues started my buddy came up next to me and said man your trucks smoking and smells like burnt trans fluid. So get out check fluid and nothing..wait what the heck I just filled. So lay down on ground and look under truck and was a 4x4 puddle of brownish trans fluid that smelled bad. At that point we slightly lowered the pan to see the leak area. Well it was on a print on the conner even after torqued proper spects the heat from the exhaust that runs underside trans and cat beside it...so gets pretty warm in that area..but the print completely melted apart and spit innhalf..now hour from home, diff state, trucks leaking fluid so what do ya do...just in this situation and only as temp..if have tire plugs get them out and slightly lower pan just enough to slide the rubber material in and then tighten down specs and ya are good to go...wait no you're not you are stuck in second gear still and truck with not shift higher so for 2 hours and 15 you have drive from mattoon illinois to spencer indiana...an yes after fixing the leak with the tire stuff we refilled it. Well burnt up my 3-4 clutches got love that quality parts we back our products..., 😒 But in the end I swapped trans but shift cable and neutral safety switch are draining the systems causeing shorts.so my trucks been down now 2 months all together 5 with 3 days of running inbetween.so at this point I have take every cent I can to buy another truck cause acdelcos best offer was give ya 250 for used trans and part then I'll come pick up the part and all the recipes to have it sent off to be anyalized..wait..do what..sent off to who the manufacturer..which is hmmm. Suppose be you...this is cost me about $4000+ so far just in vehicals. Then if it has been sent of to be anyalizd obviously it's being sent else where and not back to their freaking selves. Most ac delco is located in michigan so more likely there is someone else behind the puppet with their name on it..
I am going on my 3rd battery replaces from Delco within 3 years. First one was put in because of a warranty I had and battery needed to be replaced. The second one which was a year later had to pay because they told me since I did not pay for the first one I need to pay. Replaced the 3rd battery two years later and now no 1 year later need to replace again and since it's out of warranty, I need to purchase another one. Now AC Delco is telling me they have no complaints or recalls on their battery, but now seeing all this, I think they are putting all complaints under the rug. Well I will be putting a complaint at BBB today.
Ac delco supposrdly has six year warranty. I purchased a car little over three years ago. Even though the battery stated six years warranty they do not cover their merchandise. Stating. It is only covered as long as car warranty. My problem with battery started 8 months ago. I will never purchase another vehicle from a dealer with a ac delco battery. Nor will i ever purchase a ac delco battery. It is my opinion that if they will not honor a six year warranty that is stated on their battery they should change their tags on such batteries. Rather than having false info on the battery
I bought a 75amp AC Delco battery here in Riyadh on 9/12/2015 and it was dead on 6/10/2016 - in less than 10 months. Not satisfied with the quality. Very poor quality.
AC Delco battery dosent last for minimum of 4 months, In past 4 years I replaces battery 6 number of times. My track for car expenses is update since i brought the day I brought the card.
I brought new battery from Al Jomaih on 30.4.16 & since 2 days again my car misses a lot when starting. I heard Yokohama is quite good enough to last for minimum of 2 years.
Is it Al Jomaih who is being cheeky (selling old batteries) or AC Delco isnt manufacturing good product.
Yes, same thing happened to me as well. AC Delco battery is cheap and should not be purchased.Within 6 months of purchase date, it started leaking and the dealer refused to do anything to fixed it though warranty card is still valid.
Unfortunately AC Delco makes bad quality in Saudi Arabia .Their battery didn't even last for 12 months and even within warranty period they will not replace.I have similar story.AC Delco service in Saudi Arabia doesn't exist doesn't matter if it is warranty period.
Lack of product and service quality
Hi, my name is Krysten Sofka and I have a complaint with AC Delco replacement parts. In May of 2006 the air conditioning in my 1997 Olds. Aurora went out. I took it to a local mechanic and they had to replace my air conditioning compressor. Less than three months later my air started to go out but due to being away for school I was unable to take it back in until this Spring. When I took it back to the same shop (where they have been extremely helpful during all of this), they discovered that the air conditioning compressor that they replaced less than one year ago had a leaking shaft seal. Luckily the part was under warranty but the labor was not. This upset me because it was a $300 labor fee for something that should NOT have to had been replaced. I sent AC Delco the following e-mail:
Hello, my name is Krysten Sofka and I own a 1997 Olds. Aurora. Last spring I had to replace the Air Conditioner Compressor and by the end of the fall it was broken. Fortunately it was still under warranty so I don't have to pay for a new one but I do have to pay for labor. I am NOT happy about this, I am a college student and money is not in an endless supply. The part that YOU made was faulty and now I am bearing the brunt of your lack of quality. I am fully aware that life is not fair but I believe that my bill is a direct result of your lack of quality and that I should not have to pay for you lack of standards. I realize that it is probably pointless for me to ask that you pay for the larbor to replace YOUR faulty part, but it would be the least you could do to try and salvage the image that your company has created for me.
Although I have already written to you and received no response hope to hear from you soon and if I don't, you will surely be hearing from me again-Krysten Sofka
They replied after only two e-mails and gave me a 1-800 number to call, which I did. I then talked to a customer service representative. The service rep. was not only completely unhelpful, repeating the same thing over and over again, but was also quite rude. I believe that they should stand behind their product, bite the bullet and pay for the labor fee that their product created. I cannot convey how livid I am thru an e-mail; their part was substandard, they were not prompt about returning my e-mails and their customer service representative was unfriendly. They have utterly shattered what little respect I had for them. This issue is not over by a long shot and I will not rest until they reimburse me.
Thank you for your time,
Krysten Sofka
Why are there no handles on your batteries, it makes them very difficult to move and transport. I deliver your batteries from our warehouse to our stories and it is quite a nuisance doing so. All your competitors have handles!
