Academy Sports And Outdoors review: Purchase denied but she was going to sell it to me before I told her

I placed an online order with the Gadsden, Al store. It was cancelled without explanation. So I go and ask why and I’m told the size is out of stock, fine I absolutely can accept that as it’s not in stock! Lol
So I while looking at what’s in stock I place a 2nd online order for half a size smaller, which is my actual size but when cold I like extra socks which used to buy Academy until now. The 2nd order goes thru so grab the 11.5 box of Merrel MOAB 3 and take em to the front along with a pair of boots my GF found. When I get to the front I tell the not so nice lady I just paid for these online and saving them a trip. Immediately she sets it aside and tells me if the order hasn’t been processed I can’t do that. Yet she was going to sell them to me when I walked up to the register, without question she was about to take my crisp 100 bills. She knew ahead of time to remove the box as soon as I said “online order “. I think it’s a top down decision (order) from the store manager or corporate. I haven’t tried to order with another store yet to see what happens. The condescending attitude of the 3 employees today. Along with the seemingly questionable business practices. I will be posting online reviews which is something I don’t do well very very rarely. I’m EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN ACADEMY, at this point in time. ESP with what I’ve told everyone about I got this there or that. I thought enough about my past purchase of this specific item to make sure to come the the same store I bought it last as it was of such good quality. I spoke with a rep on the customer service phone line. My GF found the exact item I paid for and cancelled at Academy on Amazon for even cheaper than what I more than happy to pay Academy twice and cancelled. I’ll settle for once as the size issue, I take the one accusation back. I did buy them even tho I loathe Bezos. I care where my dollar goes. My last at least 8 pair of sunglasses has been from this exact store, all UnderArmour. I’m an Auburn fan and li care where my dollar goes, F Nike.
If you guys can make this right I’ll be back on board. My GF is considering returning her purchase because of how I was treated since she didn’t know I made the online purchase while we were separated in store. That’s how she found her boots. She got aggravated with me not telling her what was happening while I was being denied yet again my purchase. This was about an hour and a half ago at the Gadsden, Al store on George Wallace Dr. The same G Wallace that made the racist comments on the University of Alabama door steps.
That prob isn’t relevant but I don’t think I would put my business on David Duke Dr in Louisiana.
