AAA Carolinas review: Roadside assistance and customer service

August 17, 2023 at 9:11 pm, my daughter reached out to AAA for roadside assistance. She had a flat tire and needed it changed. She was told by a representative that someone would be with her by 10:00pm that night. My daughter waited until 10:30, and contacted AAA regarding assistance. She was then told that she would have to wait until 11:00pm. TWO HOURS from the time of her initial contact with AAA. When no one arrived at 11pm, my daughter called to find out the status and the representative was rude and short. My 22 year old daughter is stuck with no roadside assistance and no compassion from the AAA representative. My daughter ended up getting help from a stranger and left the area at 1:00am, even then no technician showed up to assist my daughter.

What is the point of paying for a service that doesn't happen?! I called AAA today to talk to someone about this (since it is the second time in the past year that AAA has failed my family). I wanted a refund or my money back for the remainder 6 months that I have paid for this service. AAA said no. They can not refund $$ and they only said "Sorry that happened to you".

do not rely on AAA they are not going to provide your children or family with services when they are stranded. I have paid for premium service with the hopes that no one in my family will ever need it. However, when they do need it, nothing happens. Do not invest in AAA. Go with another roadside service. Check with your insurance company - most of them provide that service to you for a small fee.
