AAA Carolinas review: Roadside assistance/AAA towing

I placed a AAA roadside assistance tow request at 6:12 pm EST on Friday, July 28, 2023. I waited several hours for a tow on a very busy street with an infant child. AAA’s policy is that in order for the tow to happen the AAA member must be present with ID at the time of the towing. I called AAA twice about this request on the 28th and was told that my request was in queue. At 1:00 am EST I was finally able to find a ride home with my child even though my truck had yet to be towed and AAA had yet to offer me a solution. At 8:52 AM EST on July 29,2023 I contacted AAA again about my outstanding request. AAA apologized for my experience and promised to expedite my request and that a technician would be there soon and not to worry. At 9:47 AM I was assigned a technician and was notified that they would arrive no later than 10:30 AM. At 11:00 AM I called AAA again explaining that my technician had not shown at the time specified and that my request had been pending since last night. AAA told me that they would put in a request for the technician to call me. Two hours later I am still waiting for a technician and have yet to hear from one. AAA is unable to offer me a solution at this time. I am beyond frustrated.
