I booked this hotel thru Expedia and the hotel cancelled my reservation a week and a half prior to my trip
I booked this hotel thru Expedia and the hotel cancelled my reservation a week and a half prior to my trip. I spoke to the hotel and they said all reservations were cancelled for renovations and to contact Expedia. The hotel also says it was never charged. When I spoke to Expedia they told me the hotel put a hold on our refund and will give us a coupon. We shouldn't be getting a coupon for a hotel cancellation on their end and we expect a full refund to the original amount as we had to pay upfront for a new hotel. It's also been really hard to get in touch with someone at the hotel.

Unfortunately, from check in to check out, it was disappointing. Calling to book a reservation over the phone, I should've known, seen as a red flag. The operators didn't even know what *** meant! How to pronounce and even knowledge of the discount that should be applied! Upon arrival... Once the front desk knew my children and I were Kama'aina... She asked... Asked! If we wanted ***?!?!?! You gift a Lei to guests... NEVER assume they don't want one due to being from the islands. Turtle Bay preaches Aloha, yet we felt nothing of the sort. I'm so saddened by the way my children and I were treated. We felt less than due to being locals. I do not expect to have my a*** kissed, but I do expect the same respect, smiles, and "Aloha" all the tourists around us, during my staycation received. I would not recommend Turtle Bay Resort to anyone!

We booked a 2 night stay in an ocean front Bungalow at Turtle Bay Resort to escape stress for the weekend of July 1-July 3, 2022. We were looking forward to a relaxing time, but unfortunately, the accommodation turned into a nightmare. As soon as we arrived, we noticed a big and small ant infestation and roaches in the Bungalow. We immediately informed the Bungalow Manager about this issue, especially because we have an infant and a toddler, and we needed to keep the room clean. The Bungalow manager simply picked up the *** and threw it outside on the grass lawn where we were supposed to enjoy our stay. More roaches continued to come through the cracks in the room. We called the housekeepers to clean up the mess. We had brought plenty of suitcases, clothes, and children's furniture with us, and we requested a late checkout so that we could exterminate our belongings and prevent bringing roaches and ants home. However, our request was denied. To make matters worse, we were overcharged for our stay. We were initially told that we would receive a $500 credit, but when we checked the final bill, we discovered that we had been overcharged. This business lacks ethics, and we are extremely disappointed. We are now requesting a refund for this incredibly stressful weekend.
