AAA Carolinas review: Towing

If I could give a negative 0 I would. My son called on 7/26/2023 approx. 4:00 p.m. broken down in the road. They said they will get someone there waited 2 hours and finally got a message that someone can't be there until 9:05 p.m. Never another call back - we called at 9:30 p.m. it was stated that they could not get anyone out there the driver cancelled the called. No one contact us. We called another company they got there in 20 minutes had to pay $200 dollars for a tow of 5 miles. Received a text from AAA at 11:20 p.m. saying that AAA Technician Aaron is on his way. That is 7 hours later no contact and sitting in a dangerous situation. I called this morning to file a complaint and the gentlemen sound like he was in bed and really didn't give a damn. I asked him are you going to ask my name and member number and he said oh yes. Then he said I need your son's member number. I asked him what difference it makes it's all the same and then he said oh yes you have 4 people on your account. Well, it seems to me from the customer service rep to the complaint line they really don't give a damn - AAA just want your membership money and that's that. I see that one person said they only got $50 back of their towing fee. If we do not receive the full amount well let's just say I will not let it die down. AAA if you want our money you need to provide the SERVICE.
