On October 26th, 2025 my 92-year-old mother called A1 Garage Door Services because her garage door was not opening. An appointment was scheduled on Monday, October 27th for garage door to be looked at, to diagnose problem. Robert Undzilo technician arrived and realized the reason the garage door was not functioning is because the sensors were blocked. After he unblocked the sensors the garage door functioned properly. Robert than took the opportunity to sell my mother a new garage door opener, 2 springs, cable and 2 openers. He said because they were old. (Please see details: Financial Elder Exploitation)

When Robert had started the work no verbal or written quote was given. My mother told him she cannot see and cannot write a check for work. My mother has advanced Macular Degeneration and is going blind. My mother is also on a fixed income and had to give him her credit card to pay. My sister has tried several attempts to contact A1 Garage Door by phone with these concerns. She has spoken to Taylor in customer care and then was passed on to Trey who is supposed to be a lead on the customer care team. We just get passed on to others and no is ever available or returns calls. I hope we don’t have to resort to the media.
Claimed loss: $2786.46
Desired outcome: To be refunded full amount. Overcharged and unnecessary work.
