99 Cents Only Stores review: Racist treatment by Mexican cashier

On Sunday July 16,2023 at 6:28 pm this African - American customer was subjected to racist discriminatory treatment by a female Mexican cashier named Michelle, employee # [protected]. First, while waiting in line behind a female customer who had a basket full of assorted food and items, Michelle did not slide a divider to me so I could start putting my stuff onto the counter behind the customer in front of me. I had to ask Michelle to pass me a divider.

Next, when I was about to pay $33.73 for my purchase I pulled out a pocketful of money, hundreds, twenties on down. But I used six $5 bills and 4 $1 bills to pay for my purchase. Michelle, checked all six $5 bills to see if they were counterfeit right in front of me. Michelle did not check any of the Mexican customers money to see if they were counterfeit that purchased their items before me. The security cameras inside the store would verify this factual statement.

Such treatment from the Mexican cashier, Michelle, was “blatant“ racism towards this African - American customer, very disrespectful, and public humiliation. Thus, I must file this complaint and forthcoming lawsuit against the 99 cents store for violating my civil rights.
