My accountant, John Smith, filed my 2290 tax form through 2290Tax.com
My accountant, John Smith, filed my 2290 tax form through 2290Tax.com. Unfortunately, they accidentally submitted it twice, resulting in the IRS rejecting it. As a result, I am unable to receive a refund. I reached out to 2290Tax.com and they informed me that they were experiencing difficulties with the form and would no longer be able to process my 2290 tax form. In accordance with IRS guidelines, I completed the form through another service, IRS2290.com. However, even though they charged my Visa twice, the form was still rejected by the IRS. I continuously checked for my schedule 1 to ensure it was successfully submitted, but 2290Tax.com informed me that it was not because it had been submitted twice. They charged me their fee, but they refuse to credit it back to my Visa. On their website, it states that if the form is rejected by the IRS, I should fill out a specific form and resubmit it. However, after doing so, they charged me their fee again and still refuse to issue a refund. I have sent numerous emails and made multiple phone calls to 2290Tax.com, but they have not responded or resolved the issue.
