Zips Car Wash review: Cancellation not processed correctly

I've been with Champion Car Wash which switch to Zip's even through the pandemic. Consistently washing my car at least every two weeks. When the pandemic hit and the car wash was closed I still continued to pay my membership fee.

However, the quality of service drastically began to decline in 2022. My car was constantly spotted and dirty coming out of the wash and then there was no one to dry it which was frustrating and one of the perks and reasons that I signed up in the first place. After about my 8th really bad car wash I went into the office on September 28th 2022 and requested my membership be canceled. The young man assured me the cancellation had been completed.

My grandson was murdered in July of 2022 and this cancellation has been the last of my worries assuring myself that all had been taken care of. However today I have been reviewing my bank statement and see I am still being charged the fee. I have not and will not use this service. I requested again today in the office that the cancellation be completed which I was assured happened. I was also told that I would need to call the customer service number and they would be happy to refund my money for the months of October through February. That was not the case. My request was declined. I returned to the local Zip's where the manager said he has had many customers with the same issues of incomplete cancellation processing. He wasn't sure if it was an employee error issue or software issue. He was very apologetic and offered all he could which was a $50 refund. Although I am grateful for this gesture I am still out $110. This seems to be a scam for the company to continue receiving unearned income for substandard service.
