Woolworths Deli staff hygiene issues-manager contradiction of policy

I was at Plumpton Store 60-70 mins ago and there is African female serving at the deli when i asked which price tag was correct she put the most diseased dirty hands with claws for fingernails, full of what appeared to be dirt built up under them, i am mentally il and verbally refused her serving me stating why isnt she wearing gloves.like the asian girl serving someone els, 2 males approach and the one that appeared to be in charge told me, it is woolworths policy they are not allowed to wear gloves!? I find this very hard to believe under australian business and hygiene standards. The guy then got me chicken chippies using a bag over his hand, as i was verbally appauled and demanding neither of their bare hand touch my food, as i have Borderline Personality Disorder i started having a meltdown, i tried calling 1800000610 woolworths number and explained to the male that answered i was in store and needed to lodge a complaint, he put me on hold then came back saying he had number for me to call, then somehow call was disconnected, i continued well tried to continue my shopping, but the sight of those hands and the blatant contradictions lead me to return to the deli and record to my story on messenger, i tried again to continue to get the things i went there for but the images and lies haunted my mind causing turmoil, so i preceeded to leave the store via self service area.there was male supervising the area i asked to get me the manager, i scanned a few items then noticed a docile appearing woman next to him named Kathy lurking behind me, so i asked are you the manager she said Yes, i explained my issues then said are you going to say to my face as store manager it isnt woolworths policy to wear gloves whilst serving food in the deli, she replied yes, we are not allowed to wear gloves we must use inverted bags, i then asked then why was the african girl with the most diseased hands ive ever seen about to grab chicken chippies with her bare hands, and if it is against woolworths policy why is the asian girl wearing glove, she replied i dont want to talk to you, and went to centre security guys standing at the exit cause obviously she called them as she said upon approaching them thank you for coming so quickly i believe i heard, i recorded a couple of videos with camera only on me to try and control my anger which is part of my illness, i tried to pay for items with a giftcard but got pin wrong so i approached male whom i asked to get the manager, to help me with pin numbers as my vision was blurry, he said wait as he was talking to someone, my vision cleared and i saw the numbers so when he approached me to help i told him i didnt need help, as i got my bags to leave he demanded to see reciept and searched my bags detailing me longer and my illness was getting out of my ability to control, all i could see was those filthy hands and the blatant contradictions of staff, meanwhile 2 security guys and manger were staring making me fell so imtimidated and threatened, eventually the male gave my docket and i was allowed to leave the store, only to be followed questioned detained and lied to by security, , reegardless of that putrid treatment i wish you to confirm-is it woolworths policy to bare handed handle food in the deli-# is it woolworths policy not to wear gloves? -# is it woolworths policy to use inverted bags? -# cause either way policies were breached during that shopping experience and the manager was beyond less than helpful or about customer satisfaction and experience

Woolworths Little ones toddler nappies 50 pack

To whom it may concern,

I'm writing this letter as I have been purchasing Woolworths Little Ones nappies now for quite some time. We have never ever had a problem with them. If anything I have raved about them to the world.

Yesterday the 09/08/2019 I had opened a new packet of the nappies and put one on my daughter within minutes she started scratching in her groin and on her belly where the nappy sits. I took her clothes off and she had broken out in complete hives (which a dr commented they're the worst his ever seen).

They must've been a bad batch as we have never had a problem but thought I should address this concern of mine anyway as it was a very very scary thing to see. My daughters temperature also hit 39deg (which is quite high for a 21 month old).

I have taken the nappies back to Woolworths charlestown and swapped for another packet. I really hope to not have this problem again.

If you wish to contact me for any further information I'm happy to chat via email - [protected]@hotmail.com

Thankyou

Regards,

Madeline Dwyer.

Woolworths Unethical and bullying behavior at woolworths kellyville plaza wrights

I have just got back from purchasing a few items at Woolworth's mentioned above and am totally disgusted with the service staff including who I believe is the manager. Their were 3 female staff at registers and service desk and a male middle age man . Appprox 4 years myself and my fiance lived only a few minutes from this Woolworths and the staff and treatment was amazing. This male staff member who was present tonight destroyed my good experience in that store when he one night followed me and my fiance to our car not excusing himself but abruptly interrupting us putting our shopping in the boot and accusing us of not paying for all the items we had. He made us go back into the store and go through our docket and goods and out of $150 grocery . yes we forgot to scan a $3 frozen pizza. He treated us like criminals. Since that day whenever he is rostered on he immediately sees us and talks to his staff members with an inference for them to keep an eye on us. Tonight he made it vehemently obvious as the staff greeted us very nicely but on leaving they were very abrupt and rude . I have done business with woolworths head office for over 15 years and know they do not tolerate this behaviour. I will not be returning to that store and unfortunately will be shopping at coles in the same complex. This person /manager seems to work most evenings which is when I used to frequent. Definitely working tonight at approx 10.30pm.

Woolworths Woolworths triple chocolate ice cream

I was shopping at The Padstow store Bought a number of items, Woolworths triple chocolate Ice cream was marked at $4.70 found out at till it was marked incorrectly, Liz the server, she didn't want to believe me it was marked at $4.70, went off in a huff to check, said it was marked at $5 I went and got the ticket that said $4.70 then she didn't believe me, and did not want to discount the wrongly marked item, then said she couldn't give me the discount . She came back from checking the item said what a headache, how insulting saying serving me was a headache. I told the Store manager there Adam with the beard, I ended up getting the ice cream for free as per your core policy. I really hope she gets disciplined, never felt so offended in my time shopping there, the way she carried on was very unprofessional, really rude she is. Live in the area, and have been shopping at that store my whole life! Hope something gets done about her, not very nice to customers she is. Regards, John Simone. Loyal Customer

Now that I have had a chance to look closer at the docket receipt after being so upset from today, I have seen that Liz has still charged me the price of 'Woolworths Triple Chocolate Ice cream' at the price of $4.70 which was marked wrong, And she said was $5.
So, this is a mistake again on the server Liz's part of her service!
Regards John Simone.

P.S As you can see she has made me quite upset about the service or lack of service she has shown me through this purchase transaction.

Woolworths celery

To whoever this may concern
I was at Woolworths today and I'm not impressed.
I want to make some soup and I need celery, 1 or 2 sticks. They only had massive big bunches. No small packs with a few snall pieces of celery sticks or half a bunch that you normally were able to buy. I asked if they had half a celery bunch and his answer was " I'm sorry, we are out of half bunches! Normally they would offer to cut one in half but this time and I asked for this. He said that they can't, said sorry and walked away. I nearly wanted to leave my trolly full of shoppingthere and walk off. I was inconvenienced and had to go to Coles for some celery stick...So stupid... .. I now know that in future I'm better off going to Warragul Woolworths and if they do the same I will go back to Coles. Drouin might be a small town and within the next few years they are expecting 70000 people living here so Baw Baw shire says.

Jo Keesman

Woolworths breumar pork cutlets

I placed an online order for click and collect. When I received the order I realised the pork was already out of date. $18 worth of Pork, already passed its best before date. I would like a full refund for this amount. I have a photo of the product with the date clearly stated.
I usually shop with coles, but after seeing that Woolworths is supposed to be better value for money I placed my first order with Woolworths.
Not exactly a good first impression.

Woolworths expired products, poor food handling, poor quality fresh produce

Expired Product - Yumis Falafel Balls - purchased 5/8/19 - expiry date on product 23/6/19

This is happening so frequently - shelves are not checked. There were only a couple of products on the shelf at the time of purchasing. Clearing the shelves are not checked for expired and out of date. This is nearly TWO MONTHS over expiry date.

Two weeks ago I purchased Hot Salami from the deli - had for lunch and that night gastro.

Purchased 10 thigh fillets from the same deli, picked up with the bag into which the fillets placed, but when the girl started to fill the bag there was no attempt to put on gloves or reach for another bag to pick up fillets.

POOR training... The cold meet is so badly sliced, you could never purchase cold meat to use as a platter, just a total mess.

Fruit and Veg quite often is rotting on the shelves, yes marked down but way past selling point.

YES I have spoken to the manager about these problems but all I got was a smirk and yes OK.

This is the only supermarket and yes to you do have the monopoly, but what I ask is what are you going to do when someone DIES from badly out of date products.

It is becoming so stressful having to do a shop, every product you pick up has to be inspected, dates checked and who has that much time to spend in a supermarket.

Could someone take the time to read this email, yes I am not the only one complaining, just maybe the only one who has had the time and try to get this message to the top of the chain.

WE NEED AN INSPECTION, SHAKE UP AND BETTER STILL QUALITY PRODUCTS, or do we all have to start shopping ONLINE with COLES

Thanking you for your time

Janet

Woolworths customer service

Alice Springs Woolworths
6/8/19
As per the attached photo I picked 6 bottles of Leggos pasta sauce to get half price. Proceeded to checkout at around 7.50 pm. When scanned I found it not half price. When I enquired with staff said it's from tomorrow. I asked where does it say it is from tomorrow. She said "I don't know, do you want to void the purchase?" I said I only need two if it's not half price and took rest of the bottles and walked away. No apologies nothing. I told her I am placing a feedback, didn't care.
I know why staff don't care. Feedback placed here seem to be falling on deaf ears. I'm still waiting response for ticket #[protected]. I've just emailed again asking how long I should wait before I go to an ombudsman about it. I hope I'll hear from Woolworths about both complaints. If no response I'll be going up further to make sure my dignity has any value.
Thanks

Woolworths attitude of employee (supervisor)

Tuesday 6th August 2019 @ approximately !.00pm . I was in Woolworths today on my lunch break and was using the self service area and I inserted a 50 dollar note into the register and it failed to issue my change. I asked the staff member and she was unsure of problem so she summonsed a young man who also was not sure of the problem. He has the asked ( I believe the supervisor by the name of Donetta Lawlor). She made a snide comment about being on her lunch break and the said to the young man" I bet you've had your lunch". She then made some snide comments to me and just gave an over all impression that she just didn't want to help. I felt very uncomfortable and a bit shocked by her aggressive manner. My mobile number is [protected] if you need to talk with me.

Woolworths smitten cat food

Hi
Just writing to mention my diaapapointment in your Smitten cat food, i order weekly online & have used this product. After starting your cat food my cats over a two week period started constantly following me & meowing, i did not put the two together & got to the stage where my cats were jumping up on the windows outside to meow and get my attention. Two weeks ago i was up to feeding them 4 cans & biscuits a day. This would stop them for a period of time, it was only last week when i ran out of food & had to buy another brand of cat food i noticed the change in them, my last online order from you i ordered Fussy Cat food. My cats are now back to completely happy normal cats & after re trying smitten with the same result i thought it important to let you know your product is obviously falted. Feel free to check my online orders to confirm my use of the product.
Many Thanks

Woolworths telephone/customer service

I rang this store to find out if it had Passage to India Mango and Chicken Simmer sauce.
After two minutes someone answered the phone and said they would put me onto Longlife. I waited ages and the telephone began ringing again to the store. After another two minutes a recorded voice said the number was now busy, ring again later.
I ran again and again with long waits, no answer and told to ring again.
I had previously rung the store at Raymond Terrace and was informed within a few short minutes that neither of their stores carry the line I need but Medowie did - just check availability...
This is a dreadful situation.
Should you find someone over there to answer my enquiry, my telephone number is [protected]

Woolworths brancourts cottage cheese

I bought a lactose free cottage cheese on Friday the 6th of July from Woolworths metro in Parramatta. I didn't notice the expiry date until I was about to use it at home and noticed that the BB date was 28/06/2019. This product should have been off the shelf a month ago and I am very disappointed to notice that this was still being sold. We shop at Woolworths every week and sometimes 2 or 3 times a week and now it makes me think if its worth it as I don't often check the expiry dates as being a big company I would expect you guys to check the products often and remove them from the shelf if expired.
I would appreciate someone to look into this and make sure the product is off the shelf ASAP. I would also like a refund .
Thank you.

Woolworths 10 lt marble hill water

Just wondering why all other brands of water have been removed from shelves and this brand is all you can buy. I have noticed this in 3 different Woolworth stores in Nothern Adelaide suburbs.
The water tastes like it's stale and is not very palatable. It has a bad after taste. Water should have little to no taste. Thought it may have been just one box but having purchased 3 from different stores all taste the same . You can't drink by itself need to mix with cordial etc.
What happened to My Lofty Spring 10 lt.
Have used this product many times found it to be the best.
I did ask staff member they had no idea and did not know why other brands not on shelf.
Going to see if we can buy My Lofty 10 lt from Coles or other shops. Will probably shop there now as we usually buy water everytime we shop. Makes no sense having to go to two different stores for our twice a week shop. Thanks jim and Viv

Woolworths Rude staff

Went shopping at Woolworth Beerwah Qld today I wanted to get some chicken for a BBQ. Only needed a little more as I had already brought some earlier. The staff member was so rude to me when I asked if I could please have all the small pieces that were in the top half of the cabinet, but not the large one. She said if I wanted the lot of them I had to take the large one as well and that I didn't have a choice. I said to her I found this to be quite rude of her and she said that is how it is. She said if want the small ones I had to buy tenderloins. Just wondering if that is what she was doing putting them in with the tenderloins and charging more. I asked to speak to the manger but he did not seem to care. I ended up going to the butchers next door, got what I wanted with great customer service.

Today I went to Scoresby Woolies Victoria that I have been going to for 21 years. I have always had a wonderful experience with the staff being so friendly until...I tried to return dry cat food and the staff member called Jess yelled at me that I cannot return the dry food. Instead of asking why...Because my young cat nearly died of urinary infection which is caused by the dry food. I just wanted to swap the dry food for the urinary wet food. Jess was so rude and I will not frequent this store again. Jess you don't yell at people especially disabled people like myself. It seems that young Jess has such an entitled attitude and can be very rude. I told her that she was being very rude and she settled down a bit and talked civilly to me.

Woolworths rolled pork shoulder

We purchased this meat this afternoon for tonights meal looking forward to a rare roast meal which we cant always afford. As seen in the accompanying photo there was over 500 g of fat which was 1/4 of the two kilo piece of meat. What was left was basically scrap very dark meat also very fatty. The only member of our family to benefit from this purchase was our dog and we are not sure it is even good enough for him. Meat is extremely expensive anywhere now but from your company we expected much more.

Woolworths collectable promotions

I wonder if Woolworths could use more environmentally responsible promotional campaigns. Mass producing plastic figurines that will end up in landfill is clearly not for the overall good of the planet. There is an opportunity to be the leader in this area and encourage more eco friendly marketing practices.
I know Coles do similar irresponsibe campaigns. What is this teaching our children? Ultimately, we are accountable to future generations, and should all be doing our bit to ensure our planet is looked after. Global organisations such as yours should lead the way

Woolworths lion king ooshies

To whom it may concern,
I have just been to my local Woolworth's store for the last time, I have been a very loyal customer at this store from the day the store opened. The reason I will not be shopping at any Woolworth's store from now on is because of the following situation that just took place at your Cobram store.
As I approached the checkout there was a customer in front of me who obviously spent enough money in the store to receive a free gift of Lion King Ooshies but she said she was not collecting them and didn't want them.
I then paid for the items that I purchased and my purchase came to $23.34 and I realised that I had not spent enough at the store to qualify for a free gift and I didn't
ask for one. (This transaction took place at 14:48 Hours).
I then sat in my car in the Woolworth's car park for approximately 20 minutes and started reading your weekly catalouge and after reading the catalogue I thought I would return to the store to purchase a few more items that were on special as well as the ingredients that were required to make an Easy Chicken curry which was featured in the catalouge.
I returned to the store and purchased the items I needed and when I got to the checkout I was served by the same person who had served me previously, this time my transaction came to $23:68 (This transaction took place at 15:21 hours).
In total, my two transactions came to $47.02 I then asked if I could have a free gift of an Oshie for one of my Grandchildren, seeing as I had spent the required amount to qualify but not in one transaction.
I was told NO you can't have one as it has to be in one single transaction, I could not believe what I was hearing and I thought to myself on my first visit to the checkout the woman in front of me qualified for a free gift (or maybe several) and she refused to accept any, so if I received her Ooshie is that going to be a huge loss to a company like Woolworth's.
I can not believe that I was refused one of these Ooshies which I believe would be worth probably less than 20 cents each. The woman on the checkout told me that this was Woolworth's policy and she had received quite a few complaints regarding the OOSHIE giveaways and I should contact head office and complain, I said No I couldn't be bothered over such a trivial matter but when I returned home I thought to myself, I will contact head office and voice my concerns about how a loyal customer for many years gets treated.
I also intend to contact a few talk back radio stations regarding this issue and let the general public know how you treat your customers for being so loyal over the years.
P.S. Thank God for Coles, Aldi and IGA

Woolworths staff member

Firstly I have worked in the Hotel industry for 27 years and I love it and I currently Manage a Bottle Shop, about 2 weeks ago at the Woree BWS Bottle Shop in Cairns I was served by a man don't know his name a bit older in his 50s I think...so I asked for beer and I queried the price, Immediately he swore at me so I approached the counter asking that he is charging me to much and please don't swear at me, he continued to swear at me and disagree on the price I said I will go somewhere else and was told I don't [censored]en care go somewhere else...so I again calmly asked the price and finally he said he made a mistake but was still very angry towards me saying he hates Woolworth's and his job. I am completely disgusted with his behaviour and people like that do not deserve to be in the Hotel industry and obviously at this stage I will never shop there again. Please feel free to contact me on [protected] or [protected]@yahoo.com, Regards Chris.
