I was told the wrong price for my kids' physical exam. They said my insurance covered my son's newborn appointment, but then they charged me the whole amount. I took my two kids for their school physicals and told the person at the front desk that I wanted to pay everything that day. They didn't have insurance at that time, so I didn't want any surprises. I paid $143.50 for each child that day and they said that was all I had to pay. But now, months later, I got bills for both of them. One says I owe $11.90 and the other says I owe $114. They had the exact same exam, the only difference is that I asked for a refill of my son's albuterol. They are charging me $103 just to send in a prescription and they didn't even tell me it would cost more. Another time, I took my newborn for a checkup and circumcision. The person at the front desk said Medicaid covered it. But now I got a bill for almost $500 saying he didn't have insurance and I have to pay it all. If I had known they didn't accept his insurance, I wouldn't have gone ahead with the appointment. I'm really disappointed and feel like they tricked me. I called many times asking to talk to a manager, but they said someone would call me back and I haven't heard from anyone yet.

My daughter used to see the pediatrician dept at White Wilson. They won't see us no more 'cause we got a bill that we didn't pay on time. My daughter had her 2yr old checkup scheduled for July , and we got a call from the receptionist at 7am on the day of the appointment. Our appointment was at 8:30, and the receptionist called to say that we had a bill of around $800 that we hadn't paid, so they wouldn't see my daughter until we paid up. I told her that couldn't be right 'cause our insurance covers 100% of her visits and checkups. She said there was nothin' she could do except have the supervisor call me. I called back around noon to talk to the supervisor. She told me that the bill was from last year, and they only realized it now 'cause their system changed. It had been a whole year! I checked it out myself and found out they billed the wrong insurance company. I asked 'em to bill the right one, but they said they can only send the bill to the insurance company for a few months, and a year later is too late. So, 'cause they changed their computer software, they billed the wrong insurance company. Their software billed the old insurance company instead of the current one. Now I got an overdue balance of around $800. I think this is White Wilson's fault, and they should fix it. My insurance would've paid the whole bill.
