I went to Grand Canyon Anesthesia LLC for a colonoscopy, even though they weren't in my insurance network. A year later, I got a bill for $2700 for "brush washing" that my insurance won't cover. This is a total scam!

I had a procedure at Grand Canyon Anesthesia LLC on 12/13. My insurance, UHC, paid the bill on 1/6/2022. The doctor and facility were in-network, but the anesthesia group was not. The facility did not inform me of this beforehand. Grand Canyon Anesthesiology consultants are now trying to collect more money from me, even though my insurance paid them 11 months ago. They sent a final notice bill for *** dollars one month shy of a year later. This means that I cannot use Data iSight service to negotiate a fair payment. They are charging me *** for a 20 minute procedure, which is more than the surgeon charged. I cannot even confirm if two people were present during the procedure. Grand Canyon Anesthesiology has a bad reputation for their billing practices, with many one-star reviews and complaints about bills arriving just before the one-year mark.
