I scheduled an appt for my annual physical on 11/16
I scheduled an appt for my annual physical on 11/16. During the course of my exam with Dr *** I have been going to this practice for over 20 years, and approximately 2 years ago the name switched from *** Medical to Village Medical. Dr *** has been my doctor for years and is aware I am a runner and how important it is for me to stay healthy in order to prevent some of the health issues in my family history. On 11/16, while going over the numerous questions during my annual exam, I informed Dr *** I was indeed vaccinated against Covid and wondered if others had the same side effect. She asked what it was and I mentioned while I was running I was out of breath. This is not normal as I have been running for years and it began immediately after I received the vaccine. I asked, "Will this wear off?" Dr *** looked over my medical history. I had childhood asthma and she asked me if I wanted to take a breathing capicity test to check on it. I said , "sure", assuming I would have to pay for this test (back in 2010 or 2011, I had asked the Dr *** for an EKG and I was charged for it). What I did not expect to be charged for was an entire other Office Visit. The submitted the claim to my insurance company with two office visits on 11/16. One for my annual visit and the other for an outpatient visit. I immediately contacted Dr *** to inquire about why they would submit claims for 2 office visits on the same day and time when I was there for an annual visit. I have not received an answer but I have received collection calls. I emailed the practice and stated Dr *** did NOT inform me I would be charged for another office visit and had I been given the option, I would have declined. I am not disputing the charge for the test, I am disputing the charge for the office visit, as they were paid for my annual exam visit. This is the first time this practice has done this and to do it without my consent seems fraudulent.

I went to this doctor for my annual checkup and was lied to and charged double for services that they did not even finish
I went to this doctor for my annual checkup and was lied to and charged double for services that they did not even finish. When I scheduled my appointment, I was told that there would be no charge as my insurance would completely cover the visit. This was not true, I was charged full price. They didnt even do the full visit. My weight and height were measured as well as my blood pressure, but blood work was not done. I will agree that I was told to reschedule for the blood work as they could not get a good vein to draw blood at the time, but I did not as the doctor was rude and I didnt feel welcomed there. I didnt feel comfortable going back there. After the failed blood work attempt, the doctor came in and asked me how I was feeling. I told her that I had been having heartburn issues, anxiety, and that I needed a refill of my inhaler for my asthma. The doctor made me feel like she really did not care about what I was saying and just kinda blew me off. Yes, she gave me the prescriptions, but she made it seem as if I was bothering her by being there and telling her what was wrong. Then came my *** not only was I charged full price for the annual visit, but I was charged for an entirely separate visit for the conversation about my existing health problems. I was not told that having that conversation was not a part of my annual visit and I have NEVER had that happen before. That is something that should have at least been mentioned. If I would have known it was an additional visit, I would have never even brought it up. I feel like this is literally stealing my money. That additional visit more than doubled my ***, which I was already told would be $0 and it was not. This doctor is stealing money and making it seem like a legal process with them rendering services, and lying to get appointments. Those little conversations have always been included with a regular doctor visit, and they should be, especially if you tell them after they ask the question.
