VersaCheck.com Check printing credits

After we purchased these checks and the certificate for check printing credits we installed the certificate for the print credits into the program. All went well until we changed computers. Versacheck allowed us to move the software into the new computer but voided 927 print credits in the move. Now they refuse to honor the purchase of the the print credits claiming that they need to be used within 1 year. We installed the certificate with the credits in less than a year, but because we changed computers they decided to steal the 927 print credits from us.

This is criminal!

VersaCheck is scamming you with their arbitrary rules. Report this as fraud to your credit card company or payment provider and demand a refund for the stolen credits. Don’t give them another dime.

VersaCheck.com Versa Check Gold

This company's customer service is lacking. When you try to call, they leave a message and then hang up.

The product is overpriced.

They limit the number of checks you can print and then require you to pay another fee to print additional checks. If you do not print enough checks by the end of the year, you will lose them.

This company is a ripoff.

Stay away from this software and all their product.

VersaCheck.com Versachecks order digital print checks

Could not get updates on the delivery schedule. When I tried to cancel the order there was no response customer update or anything. I cannot stay in business based on my supplier's schedule. I have deadlines to meet and this company just does not care. As a consumer I should be able to cancel an order but they will not allow this and it is stunning.

Will report fraud to bank and will post about this company on social media.

Desired outcome: Needed the product like yesterday but site does not allow an expedite option so I had to do an in store purchase.

This company is a big scam

I am using them for 4 years, and I very frustrate how this company will treat their customer, stay away from them, here is my story

I printed allot of checks at once and for some reason it didn’t come out from my printer, so I marked that it didn’t print well, and printed it again, and because of my printer error I had to reprint them a few times, but Versacheck deducted from my credit every time I reprinted, which cause that I paid a few dollars for each check, I reached out to them, and their nasty answer was that I need to pay for every time separately

VersaCheck.com Versa Check X1

This is a despicable company and should be shut down for their sneaky and dangerous business practices. First of all when I bought their product back 10 years ago over the counter at Best Buy. It was simply check writing software that worked locally on your computer. NOW they have figured out a way to exploit the customer with forcing you to give them your routing number and account numbers to upload onto their website. Imagine this company gets your personal information now under the guise of protecting you. COMPLETE and UTTER Nonsense. They have now invaded your privacy.. I think this company was bought by identity thieves and now have not only become invasive into your privacy holding information that would make any crook Jealous! Now they have my company's most private information, where I will be forced to close my checking account out of fear I have been compromised.

They make it sound plausible that they have a right to this private info in order to force you to let THEM make checks for you instead of being able to make them yourself. They are now charging you to make each check for you, making this a MONSTROUS FRAUD. This company should be looked into by the Justice Dept. I am filing an official complaint with the Attorney General in their state as well as the FTC regarding them and any other regulatory agency to look into these people.

VersaCheck.com Versa check software

Now suddenly you are charging 4.99 per month to use the software I purchased to print checks? This is robbery. I could order enough checks from my banking institution to last me for 100 years for the amount you are charging. I saw all the comments and apparently many agree with me. I purchased a ton of check stock from your company and now you are charging me to put my own ink on it. Shame on you. WIl be telling everyone I know not to use VersaCheck.

VersaCheck.com product & Service complaints

Ordered Platinum package with printer. Software has interfered with other programs including windows 7. 3 MICR ink cartridiges failed after about 20 checks each. Company will not stand behind any product after 30 days including multiple cartridge failures. Customer service argues and talks in circles and will not return phone calls. They said I need to get names of the people we talk with but will not give their names. This product is a mess and once you buy it you must buy everything from them. Additionally you are required to file your acciounts and signaytures with them. Further the ink cartridges they sell void the warranties of the printers they sell according to HP and the company will not stand behind any of that after 30 days. There are multiple court cases against this compan and a predicessor company and a contept of Court case recently filed against them. Do not trust this company with your confidential information or your money.

Have just spent hours attempting to print simple checks for home use (20 year user of versa check.) Had problems last printing (6 months ago) received instructions at that time and thought I would be good to go this printing. NOT --- SIX HOURS AND APPEARS THERE IS NO SOLUTION EXCEPT TO PAY MORE MONEY TO UNLOCK SOFTWARE SO THAT I CAN PRINT CHECKS THAT I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED. THIS IS DEFINITELY FRAUD!

IF YOU WANT TO PAY FOR AN UNUSABLE PRODUCT - AND WASTE HOURS OF YOUR TIME - CONTINUE WITH VERSA CHECK PRODUCTS. NO SUPPORT, NO RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS. THEY ARE ABLE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY IN AN INSTANT, BUT DON'T ALLOW YOU TO USE PRODUCT! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH COMPANY.

VersaCheck.com expiration with no notice

Just plummetted from satisfied customer (since May 2009) to IRATE & DISGUSTED! UNBELIEVABLE! Without ANY notice, my VersaCheck software expired -- at an odd time also -- after 2 years and approx 7 months? and approximately 25 checking accounts later (I am a legal assistant for an Probate attorney )-- and I am "locked out" ALSO I spent most of today -- since 8 am (Denver Time) on "hold" trying to find out why/how to "fix it" (I am even ready to purchase upgrade) -- but neither Sales nor Customer Service picked up. Also, no response to my e-mail to the Customer Service Rep who, back in December, insisted e-mail was the best way to communicate with them. AND, then 2 customer service pick up, the one to whom I sent the email took over When I asked why no notification and what is going on/I needed help, she insinuated that I had ignored VersaCheck notices. When I replied I hadn't received any SHE JUST HUNG UP ON ME -- @ 6:45 pm after my being on hold here at my home for 15 minutes (after being on hold most of the day at the office). She said that it is MY fault -- I have asked her to produce just one notice -- I have not received ANY (this, after struggling with gValidate which I have now begun to believe is a SCAM -- given VersaCheck Customer Service's UNBELIEVABLE arrogant attitude! (See other complaints posted Oct 2011). Upset? You bet I am!

I was a long time user of Versa Check, but then Versa shut down my Versa Check Platinum 2008 software. I paid my hard earned money for the software and they just shut it down remotely. I contacted my United States Senator Bill Nelson about these underhanded business practices being used by Versa Check and he could have cared less. I guess he gets money from them for his elections.
I will never again use a Versa Check product and I advise everyone else not to walk away from this terrible company but to RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM VERSA CHECK products.

Worst sin of all is that they do not just disable ability to write new checks - you can't access the log of checks you have written. This company should be sued into oblivion and investigated for fraud.

Add me to the list of disgusted customers. After happily using Versacheck for a great many years they added the mandatory gvalidate service and my earlier versions of Versacheck stopped working. I bought a new version of Versacheck but it did not say anywhere in their literature that it would not work without subscribing to Gvalidate. Reluctantly I gave all of my banking information to Gvalidate who seem to have no problem in writing checks to themselves on my account. The problem is that even after following the Gvalidate instructions I am going into my third week of not being able to write checks and there does not appear to be any meaningful customer service to fix the problem. I don't know if this is a scam or just a complete lack of care but I worry that a company who appears to have no customer service has enough banking information (including copies of my signature) so that they could access my accounts at anytime. This is one company that I wish would go out of business from customer revulsion as soon as possible. I would strongly recommend any potential users to stay as far away from this service as possible. It is not worth the headache.

I am also beginning to think versa check & gvalidate are a scam after going through a very similar situation. No Notices were received by us that the magnetic ink for our printer was no longer available. After ordering a new printer from versa check & updating the software we received a notice when we signed on to versa check that we had 10 days to comply with gvalidate or our checks would print "VOID" on them - great!
Calling Versa Check's telephone number posted on all their literature & website is a waste of time. The call answers with music playing. An email to them results in a call back during non-business hours which makes me believe the customer service reps are probably in Pakistan.
Not a very business friendly company to deal with. I never had a previous problem using versa check over the last 13 years. I think the company probably changed hands during the last year or so - bummer.

VersaCheck.com forcing customer to update

I have been a loyal customer of G7 productivity systems, owner of Versacheck for more 10 years but that loyalty has been damaged recently. In about 10 months ago, I have upgraded my versacheck and purchased a versacheck 2012 platinum. After I uninstalled the previews versacheck software, I installed the latest version, and everything worked fine as expected. Then 4 days ago, I have received an update notification which I declined. The next morning when I opened my versacheck, the update notice has appeared on my screen but this time, it says that I'm required to update, or I will be no longer able to use the software. I was surprised first but decided to update it and after the update, I restarted my computer. As I opened versacheck, this time it tells me that I have to gvalidate my bank account. That was the strangest moment; I called the versacheck customer support, but they encourage me to gvalidate to protect myself financially and to use the software due to recent financial law. What does the gvalidation bank account do? First, you set up a username password and submit your account information, including your bank account routing number, name and address; they will tell you to check your account for next four business days to see 1 cent check and get the check number to validate your account at gvalidate a website (https://www.gvalidate.com). I did all the steps and validated my account and my business account. Then today, I try to print few of our clients checkdraft payments as we have done for the past 10 years. This time, versacheck software tells me my client's bank accounts have to be gvalidated; here is where I got so upset with versacheck. Why should I have to do that? We have done that through our bank and my clients bank. We have not seen this before, we always print our client's payment check draft and never had any problem with either our bank or my client bank. Again, I called versacheck customer support, and they insisted that is a new law that was passed requiring them to enforce it. Ok, I purchased 1000 check draft printing and paid $9.99, but still they required me to ask my customer to validate their bank account with them; come on. I paid $99.99 for the software plus 1 cent for gvalidation, plus $9.99 to print 1000 check draft and what did I get nothing. Why would anybody pay $9.99 to print a check draft while you have the software, magnetic ink and paper? If you pay it, you absolutely get nothing; they are not a bank securing your fund. They are not a consumer protection agency; just, a software company scamming its customers. I have decided to talk to my attorney and here is what he found, a fat legal case against G7 productivity system, owner of versacheck and couple there associates ( here is the case: http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/0523155/091118neovimemo.pdf). It is illegal to change rules without notifying your customers and if you the customer decides not comply with your rules; you either refund the cost of the product or let them use until their term endsIn this case, versacheck never gave me a notification or offered me a refund of my original purchase. They have big legal bill on their hand. Therefore, they need a way to pay off. That is what it looks and sounds to me.
If anyone is planning to purchase their check writing software, be aware and give them call any ask any question that you may have. If you're a business and individual doing business and accept payment over the phone, this is not right product for you. This will only work for someone who is printing checks to their venders or employees.
Their product packaging doesn't explains all the above validation requirement and all the money you will pay after your purchase the software

Purchased a second copy of Platinum after using the first purchased copy for 7-8 yrs. Could not install a second copy on a second machine. Was blocked by Versacheck. Asked for assistance. Nonexistent on the weekend. Got a snotty email back today accusing me of not having a valid product key (Took it off the Versacheck materials in the Platinum box) or we didn't know what we were doing when installing. My (Masters EE) son who write extemely complex code that flies fighter planes in the military made the installation attempt. I think he knows what he is doing. He described their installations software as very poor written by an unqualified coder. Versacheck needs to fire their people in Customer Service and rehire qualified personnel who can actually get the job done.

I have an old version of versacheck on my old computer. It will not run on windows 7 so I bought a new version before researching it. Lesson learned, their new stuff is horrible, won't work and they want more money on top of more money to make it work (so they say). I am not throwing good money after bad at this company. I will fire up my old computer to make checks as long as it works and move on to another source when it quits. I look forward to seeing how long this piece of trash company survives with the course they are on.

You can add me to the list of dissatisfied customers. I have an older version of versacheck on my old XP laptop and bought the newer version because that software will not run on windows 7. I should have researched their reviews first as their new product is horrible. I cannot do anything with it and now they want more money because their third party confirmation of my account failed. I will not be sending good money after bad in this case and can do nothing more than warn others about them. They have a 'no refund' policy and it's too bad for me. Avoid this company at all costs.

I totally agree with all of the above complaints! I was forced to validate a year ago and now I am required to pay another $9.99 even though I still have a box of checks and only needed to change the bank information as I have changed banks.

Ran into the same thing yesterday. My Versacheck 2010 suddenly refused to open any of my files. Called for support. Given the whole BS "upgrade, validate, wait 4 - 5 days, pay for printing blankchecks other than theirs (EXCUSE ME!)" Luckily I didn't use their accounting program! I'd never gotten any kind of a warning about this happening (and I have a registered copy). I looked around and got checksoft from avanquest. It's easy to set up and prints just fine directly from my Quicken account. Was able to download, install, and up and running in short time. Don't know if it's "perfect, " but at least I can print my checks now.

I also have used the software for years. I am now waiting for gvarify to respond to my issues as I have tried ti verify my accounts and have had no luck. I entered the amounts and check numbers as requested form my statements. they say I have entered the wrong information. I have sent three emails and got no response

I too am all for a class action lawsuit!
VersaCheck is guilty of at least of
(A)"Theft" -- both 1) by locking us out of 2yrs & 9 months of accounting data (May 2009 - Dec 2012) -- holding it hostage until & unless we purchase the new VersaCheck software AND use/pay gValidate (which is a NIGHTMARE) AND 2) by forcing us to eat up time (remember: time = $) just trying to figure out how to recover/continue to meet our professional responsibilities --
(B) Conflict of interest in both VersaCheck and gValidate lobbying the Federal Trade Commission for this regulation (which initially sounded good to me -- until I got trapped in this "quicksand" that benefits only VersaCheck and gValidate!
Like so many of my now fellow Colleagues, we were SO happy with VersaCheck -- what happened? (See my January 26, 2012 complaint filed before learning I was not alone -)

I am so dissatisfied with these people I could scream. I fell for the BS, because I had bills to pay however, my account was unable to be validated so G-validate charged me $25.00. I checked the numbers and they left off a number. I contacted them and said I believe they left off a number and they took that to mean that the other numbers were incorrect so they removed the other numbers and added the missing number. They then attempted to deposit the checks 2 times, , but were unable to because the account was unable to be located. In the meantime, the first check was being manually processed because G-validate had left off a number but the bank recognized most of the numbers and matched the account to mine. It cleared. But G-validate will not accept that or respond to the fact that it cleared almost 2 weeks ago. I have over 25 e-mails to them and they are the rudest, most obnoxious people I have ever had any professional contact with. I called a number in Denver, CO and after having been on hold for 47 minutes the woman on the other end of the line flat out told me if I didn't pay the fees, they would take legal action and I definitely would not be able to write any checks ever. What the #@$% ? I can't believe this is a company. I feel like I am being extorted. Additionally, the new versacheck was supposed to be integrated/synced or something with my current quicken data. That didn't happen. This is the worst predicament I have ever been in professionally. I am all for a class-action lawsuit. However, that still isn't going to help me write checks right now.

VersaCheck.com License Transfer

I bought VersaCheck for the check printing and account ledger. I bought it intending to use with two bank accounts. When I learned I couldn't (does not state that on the package) I was a little disappointed. Not long after that my computer crashed and needed to be formatted. I had to call and almost beg for them to re-validate my software. The lady told me and I quote " I will "I am only gonna do it this one time and that is it!". She made me feel like I was stealing or it was my fault my PC crashed. Well, yesterday [protected]) I sent tech support an email asking how I can move my license to a new PC. (Thinking I was doing the right thing) Boy was I wrong. I have called for tech support two times and both times are miserable. He/She said in his/her email that the validation code was for 2007. . . I bought the software from Sam's Club in December 2008. I wanted to start a new year out with a new system. By the way. . . I love the personalization in the email. NO NAMES at all. . . Well they will not get me to buy again. Please see below for the emails. Let me know if I was to harsh. . . I was upset.

First and fore most, that will not be happening. I bought and paid for program that came with 500 checks. Why should I buy more? I have a license! Why should I buy another one? If I am gonna buy more checks or another license, I will just use another program. I initially bought this to use between two accounts. Not with VersaCheck! This has been the biggest pain in my rear and a big waste of money! I will never have anything to do with VersaCheck nor will I be referring anybody. It is not right to sell a product and not get full use of it. I still have a full stack of blank checks left. Does VersaCheck think people (customers) do not upgrade or repair their computers? TWO TIMES I HAVE ASKED FOR HELP! TWO! and both times have been similar. The first time the lady made me feel I did something wrong, here is her quote "I am only gonna do it this one time and that is it!" Soooooo. . . Instead of just erasing and REregistering like I can do with ALL of the other programs I have INCLUDING expensive software like AutoCAD. I thought I would go thru the proper channels and this is the response email I get. I will make it my civil duty to inform people of the TWO times if I have asked for help from VersaCheck. THANKS FOR THE LEFT OVER 300+ UNUSED CHECKS! Why do they pay for Tech Support anyway?

VersaCheck.com Scam

I didn’t realize it was a scam until AFTER I responded! What do I do now? Am I really going to get a check? It makes me nervous that some random person has my address.

I created a few bogus listings on *****slist to attract scammers, and I can't believe how quickly it worked!

I googled the email address it came from, [protected]@gmail.com but didn't find anything on it, so I thought I'd post my information on it.

EMAIL RECIEVED:

"I got all information i needed about it, since you are ready to sell it, i will buy it like i said earlier, with additional $200 of your asking price. I wish i could visit you to take a look at it but due to the nature of my health, i will not be able to come over there to look at it or offer you cash in person, but i have a private shipping company that will handle everything after your money has been paid. Now! as there are too many scams on internet as regards buying and selling with large bogus account, in this case we will need to protect our self, that is why my mode of payment will be via electronic cashier check. Echeck is simple, secured, legal, fast and it is setup to eliminate the stress of putting check in mail for days. You can read more on how i-versa check works at www.iversacheck.com and also to let you know more about its legitimacy. You must received cash from your bank before the shipping company will come to pick it up. All what you just need to do is to get a business versacheck paper and versaink, cost of $23.10 Once you have this, i will send the electronic check to your email for printing. I emailed back saying I had registered (which I did- no personal information was required). I'm now waiting for him to send the "check, " which of course, I'm not going to actually try to cash.

So... what to do now? What agencies can I contact to make a report?

This is a scam method I haven't heard of-- how does this one work?
