Sears - kenmore elite oasis he top load washer model# 110.[protected] ser# ct0670193

Purchased this set in Nov 2006 brand new at sears off the show room floor!
A couple weeks after getting it the dryer time stopped working and it doesn't turn off but does dry very well. So i just dealt with it.
Washer on the other hand, Have had issues since the beginning. Sears service techs have been to my home to repair it so many times i lost count and kept buying more warranty's for it so that it would be covered.
3 of the times the repair guys were out here they didn't fix the issue. Finally the 4th tech listened to me and replaced the arms in it and I didn't have that problem ever again, however the constant issues with the brain/control module has been never ending. I bought a new pump and replaced the old one as i was told the pump was bad, come to find out it wasnt bad at all...
I get the F1 code, it flickers on and off during the cycle then will stop the washer and it will read another code, right now Im getting HD on the digital screen which doesnt even show up on the code guide for my washer so what the hell does HD mean?
Right at this moment its in a wash cycle and the cycle signal volume (beep) is going off constantly!(errrggg) The times I can get it to actually do a load its beeping the whole time from soft to loud and back and forth with out end, but will at least was a load. At the end of the load it will read HD.
When I go to run another load pwr comes on then the beeping and it will not start! I unplug it, wait still wont start. I now have to keep the top open and continuously put it on and off to get it to start a load.

I have 4 little ones in my home and doing laundry every day is a MUST. This has been a nightmare for me.

I LOVE this washer when it works but I want to take a sludge hammer to it when it doesn't. And it DOESNT work most of the time. Waiting for a sears tech for 5+ days at a time to come out all the time is ridiculous, my washer should have been replaced a LONG time ago. but since they would not replace it I have been dealing with it since 2007 and it is now 2016.

I have had to resort to fixing it myself for the past 2 yrs because I felt paying over $200 for another warranty every single yr was ridiculous! I have paid for this set about 6 times over already just in purchasing warranty's and parts alone, not counting my time.

I never got a notice in the mail about the recall and just now saw the postings about it. I hope sears will replace the control board without a fight.
I feel like I should just buy a new washer but I'm sooooo scared after this experience to purchase one. I thought purchasing a NEW machine meant no problems, less maintenance, better bang for your buck considering washers used to last 10+yrs.
