Safeway

My daughter moved in with me a few weeks ago and wanted to change pharmacies to a more convenient location. Safeway Pharmacy promised a $25 gift card so she switched.

1. She was told she had to fill a prescription - done
2. She was informed it was too early to fill - okay, she waited.
3. Time to refill her script - she was told she didn't qualify for the gift card.

They knew what insurance she had before she refilled her script but failed to inform her she would not qualify for the gift card. We both felt deceived by the pharmacy for failing to tell us ahead of time and that it was a purposefully wrongful, greedy business practice. I've always maintained that the Safeway I shop at has the greatest customer service ever. Maybe the pharmacy(s?) should learn a lesson from the quality of the rest of the store's performance where customer service is concerned.

After this experience it's unlikely we'll ever use a Safeway Pharmacy again. As it turns out, we're moving anyway so we'll be looking for another pharmacy closer to home. I can assure you, it won't be a Safeway pharmacy.
