Dillard's

Dillard's Department store in Stonebriar mall has posted hours of 11am to 8pm Monday through Friday. I went looking for a nice outfit yesterday evening (8/14/23). Nothing is marked to help you find elegant outfits. I was looking for the extended sizes looking for an evening gown for a trip I am taking in Oct of 2023. I walked through the doors from the mall entrance downstairs about 25 minutes to 8pm. By the time I found the correct department with the larger sizes it was about 15 minutes to 8pm. I found 1 outfit on the rack that was actually my size and wanted to try it on. There were two women at the registers frantically trying to get everyone out. By this time, it is 10 minutes to 8pm. I overheard the two employees talking and the older white woman said we are not opening the dressing rooms for anyone, it's too close to closing time. I basically said, "It's not 8pm yet so why can't I try on this outfit?" She said, "We have closed the fitting rooms for the evening." I promptly put the outfit back on the rack and said, "missed sale". The older lady said too bad. I have been working in retail for years and posted hours are posted hours. I went over to talk to Customer Service. Waited on a lady by the name of Emily. That was a worthless conversation. I explained to Emily the whole issues only to be apologized too and said she was sorry that happened. She had no intention of talking to the ladies at all. Fell on deaf ears. Your posted hours need to be 7:45pm if you are going to close down some of the areas in your stores before 8pm. These employees are a reflection of Upper Management. No wonder why everyone is going to online shopping. Embarrassed! What is happening to Customer Service in the United States of America. I have always been able to depend on Dillard's. Well not anymore. I will never be back in your stores. I will tell everyone I know the experience I had in your Stonebriar location.
