Tech Lexi, persistent in trying to get a credit card from me to the point I almost left. She continued saying "I will continue every time you come back. soon you won't be able to get test done, as quest soon won't take people without credit cards. I am a Medicare PPO person who always had 100 percent with no out of pocket.
The next complaint I have is with the unsterile technique Lexi used, she wiped my site with alcohol for approximately 5 seconds and then used the tourniquet after it fell on my site where she was going to stick me. I asked her to use another alcohol on my arm and questioned me why I wanted it done and got angry she had to do no it again. She stated all tourniquets are sterile. After she was done the draw she used the same gloves to take out a new tourniquet for the net patient in the same box she used for me. In the midst of a pandemic I would think your staff would be properly train in sterile techniques. What she didn't realize I am a retired respiratory therapist and familiar with sterile techniques. I plan to report this to Medicare about her persistence in getting a credit card number. Lastly she was extremely rude throughout procedure and if I did not need results for an upcoming appointment I would have walked out.
