Notified my manager that the battery on my new Isuzu truck was dead. It died at the shop. Manager Josh was notified. He then stated we don't have anymore trucks available. I was told to go on my route anyway and get a jump from a customer as neeeded. I did as told and my truck died in Venice. I informed Josh that I should go home if unable to perform my job with a truck that's not functioning. Josh then stated if you go home today your approved PTO for Thursday will be denied and you will have to come in anyway. Josh stated your not going home. We all have bad days and was told that Sean would come out to me with a box to jump this truck after each stop which I had 33 of them. I then waited 45 minutes for Sean who came out and after 3 attempts shadowing me and 2 houses done confirmed my truck needed service back at the shop. Upon arrival to the shop I was then offered a sprayer truck without AC. Or a Van with AC. I take pride in my job and take this job seriously. This could have easily been handled in a better way. Not fair for it myself. Very unhappy.
