I signed up for Tru Green lawn service. I am now very sorry that I did.
(1) On 6/9/2025 a tech showed up at my door at 7:45AM! (I know because my camera saw him. They don't ring door bells, they knock. He applied Fiesta weed killer. paper work SAYS he mechanically applied granular fertilizer. SAYS he spoke to me - he did not, I was in the shower. (Cameras in front and back verify he applied Liquid weed killer only but NO granular fertilizer. Walking the property I also see no granular fertilizer.
< I called and complained multiple times and asked that this tech never come to my home again>
TWO WEEKS later On 6/24/2025 a tech arrived and said that they were to correct the problem... with a free follow up service. BUT to my surprise they also only applied more weed killer (said that what was on their truck) and noted in his paper work after a long conversation, that I indicated I wanted the missing fertilizer application.
< I called and complained multiple times>
(2) ON 6/30/2025 a manager came by to discuss. We had a long conversation and he seemed to understand the problem I had with Tru Green to-date. I said I did not want the first tech ever coming and that If Tru Green could not solve the problem, I was canceling the service. Paperwork shows that he came to do a "property evaluation"
(3) On 7/3/2025 a tech came to provide the missing fertilizer. However, no paperwork shows or documents the fertilizer service.
(4) THEN on 7/8 - I was advised that I would be getting another service (7/09). As I was not going to be home I used the text link to move the service out a week (or so I thought)
On 7/9/2025 (two weeks after the last over application of the weed killer - the first tech _who I said I did not want at my home_ showed up to apply even MORE Fiesta killer. The temp was 90 deg and it had not rained in more than a week. The manufacture says in the data sheet : Use Precautions: Do not apply to drought stressed grass; ensure turf is well watered prior to application. Do not apply when the daytime temperature will exceed 85ºF. Do not irrigate within 3 hours of application. Do not apply to the same area more than 4 times a year >It should be noted it was 90 deg (he even says that in his paperwork) when applied. It rained approx 3 hours after the application.
So now I have now had 3 applications of this product in about 30 days! It is understood based on the manufacture that this much weed killer will destroy micro organisms and thereby damage to soil.
I canceled Tru green.
Recommendation: Don't use these folks
