I am writing this complaint because I wanted to notify Wyndham hotels of the handling of guests. I booked a room at days inn merced,CA. I paid for a deluxe room which is supposed to include a mini fridge and a microwave. I paid extra to get a mini refrigerator included in the room. When I checked in the room I was told it was the only room available, I made my reservation a week in advance. The room doesn't have a refrigerator. It also doesn't have a smoke detector or sprinkler, which is against the law. I stayed here with my wife and children. This puts their safety at risk. I was only given 2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths. There are 4 of us. The hotel staff stated it was all they could give me. When I walked to the front desk I noticed several rooms clean and ready to go with refrigerators, smoke detectors, and microwave. The front desk clerk said the rooms were for other people with reservations. I informed her I had an reservation as well. I was given a standard room but charged the deluxe price. My platinum match from caesars rewards was not honored as well. We came early at 11am to see about early check in but was told to show up to check in at 3pm, but the room was not ready. We waited for the room to be cleaned. We were given a damaged room. We ended up checking in at 4:30pm. Our room did not have a working phone either. I feel I have been discriminated against, because I was told that there weren't any rooms available but people were walking in and getting rooms that had a refrigerator available. I have a video showing rooms that have refrigerators were available. We paid for a deluxe room but was given standard. They will not refund us the difference since we were not given what we paid for.
